  Been following this game for well over a year now and this game is impressive on its own right let alone being made by a single developer. THINGS TO NOTE 1. Game is NOT "Open World". It uses an overworld to link many different locations (similar to old school CRPGs such as Fallout 1 & 2). 2. It is a sandbox "rpg" with a very loose fit story (that will be expanded upon according to the dev). The developer has been VERY CLEAR that they consider this game more sandbox oriented, so there should be no confusion. If anyone is familiar with the game "Kenshi", this is similar. You start off with no true direction and it is up to the player to play this game however they want. 3. There ARE bugs and many QoL things missing, but the foundation is there. For an Early Access release, this is an amazing start. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY 4. THE GAME IS BEING MADE BY ONE PERSON IN CASE THAT ISN'T CLEAR ENOUGH. Almost everything this developer has shown off for the last year+ is present in this product and anything that isn't present, they have clearly communicated the reasoning for why. Very transparent, straightforward, and honest. The community is very active as well and the developer is very responsive to criticism and questions across the board. I would recommend this game hands-down and if you've been following this game on social media as I have, hopefully you are just as impressed as I am. Support this developer and let this game to continue to grow even greater. Excellent job Shieldbearer Studios, keep up the good work!

  It is early access, and it shows... BUT this game already has me charmed. Cute puzzles, Valheim/Runescape skill leveling, lots of content from what I can see and a lot more planned. It definitely has early access grittiness to it, but ultimately I think this game will turn out amazing once cooked a bit more. Another comparison I'd offer is that it feels like a love-child of Skyrim/Breath of the Wild.

  I have waited for this game for years. A new open world RPG with limitless potential. Even in beta with bugs and all, this game blows everything I've played in the last 3 years out of the water. This did not disappoint.

  I wish there was a mixed rating option because the game seems like fun but is riddled with a bunch of issues. The main one I have is the horrible performance, I have a 3080 a 3700x and 32gbs of ram and I get ~35fps when fighting enemies and when using one of my abilities it caused the game to go to 15fps which led me to save and load the game, the problem was fixed. But on to my next issue with the game, when you load while in a dungeon or any location on the map you get teleported back to the start of that location which leads to all of your progress in that dungeon being wiped and having to do it all over again. When you press the overworld button theres no confirmation screen it just takes you to the overworld map which in conjunction with my previous issue is kind of sucky. When you leave the castle through the front gate it opens up a screen saying that the game is open world thats all good except that when you go into the area again after using the overworld map it pops up in the same spot, it just shouldn't show up again after the first time. The saves in the saves screen are sorted alphabetically you have to look at the time when you saved the game to see the most recent one. When you click tab and back out of the menu your character does a little hop not a big deal but its still an issue I found. When you do the rune translation minigame if you have quests in the journal active they block some of the letters and runes. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not but I went through the whole area called Tomb of the Betrayer and when you get to the end of the dungeon there was this black tomb with golden engravings on it, I felt like it was important in some way but I couldn't find a way to interact with it. I hope the dev can takes some of what I said into account when moving forward I think the game could be something special in the future. And if I can make one little selfish request, could we possibly get 5120x1440 support? We 0.23% percent in the steam hardware survey would be very happy. ;)

  Lots of potential here. Sandbox RPG where you can basically do whatever you want. Very eager to see this game continue to grow and can definitely see myself playing this regularly.

  Chill game with good exploration, levelling by using skills and a large sandbox. Get this one if you want to explore a large world while you slowly build a powerfull character.

  super buggy, and unplayable in some areas. weapons and attacks won't trigger, so I have to reload and reset dungeons -- happened multiple times. I've been looking forward to this game, but I think I'll give it a few updates before coming back.

  The main problem for me it's optimization of the game. Maybe it's because 2k resolution. I have a large FPS drops depending on what side of location i look and how close i to different spell effects. 4060 TI, Ryzen 5 7600, nvme ssd and 32GB RAM. I thougnt that it's more than enought for this game... but not at all. Recomend it like sandbox, but pay attention to system requirements. First look was good but would be better with optimization.

  Played 3 hours as of this review. Loving it so far. reminds me of the good old days of Ultima online :) I hope this Solo Dev keeps at it as this game could become HUGE especially if they somehow manage to get coop mode.. But even without that, its one of the best £10 i've ever spent on an early access game. Thank you Dev for making this, I can't wait to see what is in store! Sorry the review is so short.... i want to get back to playing!
