  Got the chance to playtest this game multiple times and its great to see how far it has come. If you want to challenge yourself and see how good you are at typing and moving at the same time then please do give this game a shot! It's quite unique as a game as it combines arcade style gaming with typing ad heavily relies on the gameplay. It has multiple difficulty levels and above that there are modifiers to make it even more of a challenge or to make it easier on yourself. Story is there but is definitely not the main focus. Looking forward to more time with the game!

  Ok, Outshine Well what can I say, I played few hours already and I had a very good time. The game is really well made, sure you have to like that typ(ING)e of game, but if you do, you will love it. Also if you never tried typing games before (What ? You never played Epistory or Nanotale ??? Unforgivable!!), go for it too. Honestly the gameplay and the level design are very well made, there are what is called "modifiers" that enable you to modify the difficulty of the game in one way or another (Yeah, try to play with the words reversed, that s challenging! ). I can't find anything against the game to write about. Fishing Cactus released an awesome game again. What a great studio You have to play this game, it's a must have :)

  Another great typing game from Fishing Cactus! This one's a straight-up arcade game, as opposed to its contemplative story-based predecessors, Epistory and Nanotale. It definitely hits its mark for fast-paced typing action! As with Epistory and Nanotale, it pays to get used to the various enemies' attack types and what kinds of threats they pose, so you know which ones to prioritize. Especially in the later levels, you'll want to choose your immediate targets carefully to make sure you don't get overwhelmed! You've got a couple of limited-use abilities available to help you out of jams, as well (a shield to just tank some hits, and a "kill all" barrage). One of my favorite flourishes is that there's a bit of a story framework around the levels, which are presented to you at checkpoints in each level, where you type out the narration (against a timer) to continue the level -- a fun detail which makes the (intentionally) threadbare story feel a little more personal. We're not just being told the story, we're writing it in ourselves. I quite liked that touch! On top of the "main" difficulty slider you'd expect, there's also a host of other game options you can toggle on/off to customize your game experience however you like: some make the game harder (which will increase your score multiplier), and some make the game easier (which will decrease your score multiplier). There's built-in leaderboards, if you care about that sort of thing, so you can pitch yourself against other internet randos as well as just trying to beat your own high scores. All in all, this is a very tightly-put-together game which hits its marks perfectly. A single full runthrough won't last too long (I finished mine in a little under 4 hours) but fans of typing games will find plenty of replayability in this one. Personally, I'd highly recommend it! (As a brief aside for Linux players: this worked perfectly for me with a GE Proton 7.x)

  Good typing game! Good gameplay (a mix of typing and moving/avoiding), cool bosses :) . Small minuses: music is a tad generic, environments could be more varied.

  It's an interesting mix between typing and arcade style game. At first it was really confusing for my brain, but I got used to it quickly after a little bit of practice. The hardest difficulty is actually quite hard both in typing and action aspects, so don't be like me and start with something easier to get used to the game :) Overall, feels pretty balanced and satisfying.

  Outshine is a fun typing game. Graphics, mechanics and delivery are alright. It is also met by nice people - I met them presenting their game at Gamescom 2022. If you like typing games and like to see some nice twists added to them, I recommend picking this one up.

  Challenging game, providing one likes typing. Played on easy through the game and intend to raise the difficultly for next time I play it. Like the options for game play such as reversing the words on screen and increasing the difficultly really is challenging.
