  uhhh, I bought this and got the doomicorn set lmao. Ill change my review once that gets fixed. EDIT: they seemed to fix this for me, I got the series 1 pack and kept the doomicorn pack, nice.

  Clearly there has been some mix up. Someone accidentally mixed up the Doomicorn and the series one cosmetic packs. Although people do make mistake, this isn't one that should have been able to slip buy when a game is being run by a whole company.

  I just bought it and ended up getting the Doomicorn set instead. It turns out that I am not the only one with this problem. This better be fixed soon or Steam better be ready to issue refunds. The best advice I will give is to not rush to buy this yet. Update : After waiting for a while , I decided to try again, and this time ,I finally got what I was looking for. It looks like the glitch has been rectified.

  Okay yeah it's a set of cosmetic microtransactions, but there's been plenty of free extra content added to the game so it gets a pass. I was always annoyed that I missed out on the S1 stuff, but I also hope that this doesn't set a precedent. Edit: It set a precedent. Stop. Quake 1 is dying for a remake. Do that instead. Edit2: Quake 1 got a *free* remaster. Carry on.

  I don't mind them releasing DLC like this. As long as they were available in game to earn beforehand. I honestly hope they make one for the Cultist Slayer that I have regretted not getting when I could.

  I like this method of releasing skins as DLC. You get two chances to get the skins for free, once during the initial event and once during the future mini-event. I missed both, so I decided to pick this up. I've seen a ton of people whining about this skin pack, saying that "tHeY'rE rUiNiNg ThE gAmE!!1!" by having these OPTIONAL DLC packs. If you don't want to buy it, THEN DON'T. This isn't a new Master Level or paywall-exclusive content. It's older content that you had multiple chances to earn through gameplay. However, if Bethesda (or ID, I don't know who has control over this sort of thing) starts putting paywalls on brand new skins and Master Levels, THAT'S when we can get upset. As for the skins themselves, they're really cool. The Ember Slayer skin comes with several unique animations that work on other skins but work best on Ember due to the flame effects. The Inferno Lord Marauder is still one of my all-time favorite Marauder skins.
