  A tech demo for whats possible with a 360 VR movie, but entirely too short. I didn't time it, but the credits appear longer than the experience. Was it worth the admission price (3.99 at time of writing), maybe, given the production values that went into it.

  [h1]Experienced on Windows Mixed Reality, Samsung Odyssey +. WARNING: SPOILERS![/h1] This is a stereoscopic 3D 360 purely cinematic experience. The only reason you need your motion controllers is to point the laser at the start button. The total runtime is approximately 14 minutes and I estimate 3-4 of those minutes are just the credits rolling. The 3D cinematography is pretty uneven. There is one scene that is noticeably subpar and that is when events transpire at the secret science lab (including the walk on the raised platform with the railings). I believe the reason it looks so bad is because it's dark and because the background is CGI. I think the chroma key effects were botched and just didn't mesh well with the 3D effects. As they proceed to the elevator, you can see the scientists walking about look like they were badly cutout from the background and they look like they are clipping through objects and also floating. The starting scene also doesn't look particularly good because the computer servers look like stock Unity 3D assets from like 2010. The parachute that opens as you are falling from the sky also looks weird in 3D when you look up, but I'm unable to determine why. The birds flying towards you when you're falling look completely like CGI from the early 2000s as well. Lastly, most of the scenes are just not well lit. You can't even see the guns in the raised platform scene. Despite all the above criticisms, I enjoyed this movie short. I thought the sword fight was filmed well and really put you in the action. Although, I have to admit, the actual choreographed sword fighting could have been done better as the actors / stunt people seem to be fighting in slow motion and without much force to their swings. It still looks amazing though. Several of the 3D effects were done nicely as well such as the the forest scene with slow motion stylized bullets coming at you and trees falling and explosive shrapnel coming towards you. I also thought the actors did a nice job. Tony Denison did a great job and could probably play a bad guy in the next Spiderman movie. Lyndsy Fonseca also did an admirable job. While there wasn't much to the story, there was always a lot of action and the movie short kept my attention throughout. It was very reminiscent of 80s action movies. [b]Rate 6.5/10. Not the best cinematic experience in VR, but a fun, mindless action-filled romp with some nice 3D effects. Just a shame that several of these scenes were misses in their intended visual effect due to what I will assume are budgetary reasons.[/b]

  English (Deutsch weiter unten): I feel betrayed. A movie got announced - what I got is a short and childish tech demo. There's bad 3D rendering, blurry vision, wrong rendering for both eyes. There's bad acting especially with the fighting scenes with a childish choreography , there's depth of field faults, it's like using one of the ancient hacks for playing 2D games with 3D goggles. There's cheap and awful 3D effects used just because the makers felt committed to delivering some effects. Like the childishly rendered birds flying towards you while descending with your parachute. It's like watching a cheap game trailer studded with cheap and unnecessary effects. And it's short. That's the only good thing about it as it shortens your suffering. Immediately requested a cash-back as even the small amount charged is a total waste. ---- Tut euch das nicht an! Viel mehr als im Trailer kommt nicht - nach rund 10 Minuten ist der Spuk vorbei. Glücklicherweise. Ich war drauf und dran, mir mittendrin schon die Index vom Kopf zu reißen, weil es so erbärmlich war. Man sitzt, kann aber seinen eigenen Körper nicht richtig sehen, weil sich die Augen nicht drauf fokussieren lassen. Man kann nichts scharf sehen, was sich in der Nähe befindet. Zudem ist alles unscharf, oft nicht mal flüssig. Billigste Effekte wie in den 3D-Kinos der ersten Stunde werden aneinandergereiht, Waffen klicken albern metallisch bei jeder Bewegung, bei den Kampfszenen merkt man sofort, dass die "Darsteller" nicht die mindeste Ahnung davon haben. "Wir hauen uns gegenseitig auf die Klingen, damit sich bloß niemand schneidet." Der 3D-Eindruck stimmt nicht, da werden Objekte dazugerendert, was auch sehr sichtbar ist, weil sie nicht zum Rest der Szene passen. Das Ganze wirkt wie ein Trailer zu einem Spiel, das man künstlich von 2D auf 3D hochgepeppt hat, wie früher, als die ersten 3D-Brillen auf den Markt kamen. Über die Story muss man auch kein Wort verlieren, billig wie alles andere. Stellt euch einen Trailer zu einem Billigspiel vor, bei dem man mit aller Gewalt ein paar 3D-Effekte einbauen musste, damit sich das Ganze irgendwie vom Rest abhebt. Wenn ihr jemanden davon überzeugen wollt, dass VR KEINE Zukunft hat, ist dieses Machwerk genau das Richtige. Tschuldigung, ich tippe gerade nicht sehr freundlich. Aber ich war regelrecht wütend, als ich diesen Unsinn endlich überstanden hatte. "Der Berg hat gekreißt und ein Mäuslein geboren." - das trifft's recht gut. Bombastisches wurde angekündigt, Lächerliches abgeliefert. Die 30 Minuten "Spielzeit" kommen daher, dass mittendrin die Sternsinger klingelten, die nicht gerade schön sangen. Aber dennoch war das deutlich bemerkenswerter und spannender als dieser Unsinn. Habe sofort eine Kaufpreiserstattung angestoßen - es sind zwar nur 4 Euro, aber das "Werk" ist leider keine 4 Cent wert.

  In the store it's marketed as "room scale" but when ingame it shows it's a seated experience. This means that moving your head moves the playspace instead of your head. This is all filmed with a 360 camera and thus you are completely stationary. The tiniest headshake can make me nauseous, I've had VR legs for over 5 years now and can stand playing smooth locomation with framedrops. This was unbearable for me. This is why I refunded the game after 10 minutes of playing.

  [h1] Loved being a special agent! [/h1] Before you buy: its a cinematic experience, it's not interactive (except menu which doesn't count). You watch the VR Movie. The story was interesting and the action was a lot of fun! I particularly enjoyed the moment when you fall from the clouds, the bullet time bits and the battle on katana swords. Even though sometimes CG is uneven - it never broke my immersion. One of the better VR films - I was definitely immersed into feeling that I'm an action hero. I wish it was a bit longer.

  I had very low expectations and they were met. So much about this could have been better. For now the only good VR "movies" are animated.

  This is a 0.4 hour movie in VR that cost $3.99. do your math...me...I expect more for my cash...acting was meh. Would like to see more of this form of entertainment but cost should reflect value better (subjective I know)...tis wes worth about 0.99 cents to me.
