  Absolutely worth any metroidvania fans interest and time. Yes it's short but that's part of it's charm! Simply put there are several smooth mechanics in this game and it's always about movement, over anything else. this game condenses all aspects of traversal into something I feel any fan of a metroidvania would also agree that it feels charming rather than imposing. Enjoy this game whilst you can!

  A cheerful little pixel game where you play as an adorable skeleton running through colorful interconnected levels and plowing through enemies. In the hands of a bad designer, an unlocked ability would be under-utilized and feel like wasted potential. But here, every skill you acquire feels comes in handy and makes traversing the levels not only easier, but more enjoyable as time goes on. By the time I acquired every ability, I had become EL ESQUELETO, THE GREATEST LUCHADOR KNOWN TO MAN. There is also an optional timer option, which I haven't tried yet. This feels more geared towards speedrunners, though. The game is short, which may be a point of contention to some customers. But, for me, the fluid mechanics, the appealing art style and overall relaxing atmosphere more than made up for the length. I found Super Skelemania a very enjoyable experience and I hope to see another product from Ben in the future.

  I was a skeleton that landed on a new planet. I bonged a lot of gongs for some important reason that eludes me for the moment. It was a good time! Though there are some enemies and monsters and such, the bulk of the challenge is in navigation and tricky platforming, which I appreciate. Relatedly, all your upgrades serves to expand your move-set, rather than increasing your combat prowess. Animations are fluid, and the skeleton-specific abilities lend themselves to good platforming. The map does not show which rooms you have already been to, so the exploration does not really become as systematic and methodical as I usually like it to be in metroidvanias. It’s more of a getting-lost-and-wander-metroidvania, than a methodically-filling-every-corner-of-the-map-metroidvania, if you know what I mean. Still, finding a route to the end is what we are all here for, and this game certainly does its job!

  I love metroidvanias, and this is the real deal. Super unique and very polished. Took me an hour and 45 minutes to beat. Loved every second of it. Cannot recommend this game more!

  There has been a lot of moaning & groaning about the price of this game. ( myself included ) I just bought the game today, not going to finish it in single setting. Besides the price, I like it. A game like Super Skelemania HAS to have tight controls & fortunately, it does. The difficulty is also quite nice and never overwhelms you. Game itself: B+ Price: C- Would recommend.

  Great little metrodvania game. Unlike most of the genre it's metroid elements come from getting new movement skills making it great fun to dart around exploring. Love the graphics and the music. Quite short, can be 100% completed in under 2 hours even when playing casually

  a "skeleton" of a game. There is nothing here, I ran around for 10 minutes in almost completely empty bland rooms with enemy's you could completely ignore. My first assumption before i decided to alt-f4 the game was that the reviews must all be fake, but they seem to be legit, not sure how or why this random half baked "indie" game would get so much attention. This is like the rough outline of a possible game. like 20% of a complete game, an abandoned early access game that was never in early access.

  Quick Description: -The developer of Super Skelemania clearly has the potential to create a really solid metroidvania experience, but Super Skelemania doesn't do enough to warrant a recommendation even at the low price point of $5. What's Good: -Super Skelemania offer light combat, decent exploration, and about half a dozen biomes to explore. The world is interrconected and checks most of the boxes of a metroidvania. -The main character has a cute, likeable look and there is some charm in the world that you get to explore. -Is on sale frequently, so not that difficult to pick up for just a couple of bucks. -The exploration is probably the most interesting part of the game since there are several powerups to find and each biome has a unique color and offers new enemy types. Could Use a Few Changes: -The world feels very barren. There aren't a ton of enemies and most of those that exist offer close to no challenge. -Most players will finish the game in 1-2 hrs. -Only 2 boss battles and neither are very interesting or challenging. -The rewards for exploring the world are only additional health. This is helpful, but it's not very fun. Thoughts: -If this were a free game, I could possibly recommend Super Skelemania to ppl looking for a mini metroidvania that isn't too challenging. It's really difficult for me to recommend this to anyone as is b/c there are so many incredible metroidvania's out there, and it isn't hard to get most of them for under $10 during sales. The dev clearly has skills as a game designer, so I'd love to see him create a larger scale metroidvania experience and take what he has learned from Super Skelemania. Consensus: -Bottom Shelf Game (Tier 5 and makes up 10% of my reviews). Gato Roboto is only a couple of bucks extra and is a significantly better and more polished game. I'd recommend snagging that one over Super Skelemania.

  A compact little Metroidvania with charming art style and music. The difficulty is pretty moderate, so this is great for beginners as well. Can be completed in about 2 hours, but that's completely okay considering it is only 4 Euros. Recommended!
