  Philophobia The Fear of Love by Tim Ruswick. This game is a delight to play. The controls are very responsive. The levels are extensive hide and seek puzzles. The sounds effects and background audio is immersive. The art style fits perfectly with the game and the sounds, it's a great mix of colors and darkness. I am really enjoying the game. I've watched this Solo Indie Developer work on this game on youtube and twitch for the last two years. He's a delight to hang out and chat with. He's dedicated to providing the best possible experience with low bug incidence. (I'm a developer too so it's important to me.)

  I only played 40 minutes but I wanted to review early on because of how awesome the game is. I'm not one to play platformers on pc. I usually play the old snes platformers the old console but this really is a beautiful game. It really gives me the feel of old snes games with modern responsive controls and beautiful graphics. But this is a really fun game to play if you need a break from today's modern violent video games and just want to enjoy an awesome story told from Tim's heart. Imo this a really cool unique game. i feel like I am playing a modern day mario with themes coming from the darkness games. The game has no bugs as of yet. If there are any I have yet to experience any. I rate this 9.5/10 as in my eyes nothing is perfect but this game comes pretty close to it.

  This is a tough game but when you die...well...you get back into the action rather quickly. :) I would not consider this a "Traditional Platformer" so keep that in mind. I would recommend it.

  I'm not really into platformers, but it's a good game, with a lot of polish. I can see it was made with love. A little hard for me to find the lost souls. I like the story and I think it's rewarding to advance because of it. I haven't finished the game yet, I'm in the beginning (finishing DENIAL realm of grief). I recommed it. Thought I will have to finish it.

  I found this game through the developer's twitch stream, and there was a scene/level in it that just grabbed me, and I wanted to experience it for myself. However, watching it played, I was afraid I might never make it to that scene. I still haven't made it, but I'm enjoying the heck out of the game, despite several hundred deaths already.

  This game is really fun. The controls feel great, the story is very engaging and the level design is challenging but it feels great when you complete levels. Also, finding the hidden items in each level is a lot of fun. Definitely worth playing! :)

  I can't give it a blanket recommendation, but having beaten it I enjoyed it well enough. If this one shook out as Positive/Mostly Positive I'd call that a fair assessment but come prepared for tight jumps and minimal hand holding. The title alternates between a puzzle platformer and a speedrunner. I'm not going to profess that it's the lovechild of Super Meat Boy and Celeste or anything like that but I think it's got some interesting ideas. Smoothing out difficulty curve a bit could go a long way (I died 260 times on one level and less than 10 on the next. This is an extreme example but you get the idea). I expect that level to be an exit point for a lot of people. Things to know going in: 1. Tiny variance in variable jump height (the smallest jump I am able to perform is 1 character height lower than the normal jump). 2. No momentum that I can discern.[spoiler] 3. Dash can destroy projectiles. 4. Your dash can pull you up ledges. [/spoiler] 5. It's got heart. Tldr Come for the single screen platforming and boss fights, stay for the angst poetry.

  This game is criminally underrated.The control is smooth and the visual design is stunning especially the bosses, also I love the art style(2D). It's a "must play" If you love platformer genre.
