A farming adventure with a dash of magic. By day, restore your quaint homestead into a summer paradise. Raise crops, care for animals and rebuild to your heart's content. At night inhabit the various farmland creatures through your dreams and bring enchantment to the valley.

This little homestead needs some attention and there sure is a lot to do! A variety of fruits and veggies to cultivate and a vast collection of animals to raise. You’ll need to protect your crops from pests and keep your animals fed, healthy and entertained. All while getting the resources to repair and expand your little summer paradise.

Explore the open world to find more adventures, animals, collectibles and get to the bottom of what is giving you these magic dreams at night…

Everdream Valley has very few people mucking about and disturbing the peace so animals are absolutely thriving here. We’ve got *takes a deep breath* pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, goats, alpacas, horses, sheep, bees, wild boar, magpies, beavers, bisons, geese, deer, frogs, beetles, butterflies, dragonflies, wolves, mice, snails, slugs, fish and more. Phew! Each comes with some unique influence on your farm.

Everdream Valley is all about raising and caring for animals, so besides a few bugs being made into animal treats, rest assured you’ll never be turning favourite cow Bessie into a burger patty.

Throughout your days your doggie sidekick will be right by your side. Choose from 13 different breeds and train them to be the best boy to help with herding, tracking, and finding treasure.

Oh. And there is a cat too. Just one, really really grumpy cat. Win him over he might do something for you in return. Maybe. It’s up to him really.

When slumber hits, that’s when the magic of the valley really comes out. Each night your dreams will let you take the role of one of many animals around the farm through unique mini games. The more animal variety on the farm, the more night-time adventures unlock and each has its own unique reward or impact on your farm the next morning.

Your long summer days in the valley aren’t just about looking after the farm. There’s so much more to do! Spend the nights camping, build a treehouse, catch and collect bugs, go fishing, get new clothes, cook, take photos, build furniture, go treasure hunting. Each little adventure gives you something back to help you grow your farm even more and unlock more story and side quests, all at a leisurely pace.

The little sister of Dreamlight Valley and Stardew Valley.

I won't give this a thumbs down. It is better, for me, than any pixel graphic farming sim. That said, I am rage quitting because of beavers. I enjoyed a lot of it but it just gets annoying. I can't tell which alpacas are male, the rats eat all the hay, the stamina takes ages to refresh, and it takes half the day to collect fruit. I have mixed feelings, really. It was a mildly infuriating 14 hours but there was always something to do. If the beavers ever get less difficult to corral, I'll be back.

Managed to finish it before official 'launch' so here goes: This is another farming sim with a hint of the mystical behind it. As you venture off to your Grandparents' dilapidated farm, your character becomes a bit of a Dr. Doolittle with a twist. Pace is just right for the casual gamer (though if you want to stop mid-day, you need to do a manual save) and days go by languidly giving you enough time to set up your farm, forage, fish etc. Pros: - Decent variety of animals, bugs, fish and frogs to keep you busy for a bit; the 3 breed tiers are great for longer games, but you can absolutely get by on the basic Tier 1 animals buying, breeding, and selling - Days go by slowly, giving you plenty of time to do what you need to do and explore for a bit - Droughts, while annoying, still give you the option of getting water elsewhere and still gives you time to do your pattern of dailies - Stamina is limited at first, but you can grow it as you learn cooking recipes - You can pet the chonky animals, even the wild deer and boars - Trees and crops are easy to dig up and move, customize what you want - Crafting recipes aren't "expensive" material wise - You can ride multiple animals (though some won't want to be ridden!) - Easy to find and make 'free foraging money' for early upgrades. Honestly if you explore, you find a lot of things you need for later builds free. - Wardrobe is just enough to be a thing, limited in styles but honestly a kid shouldn't be a dress-up diva in a farm sim. - Hidden quests (like the Contaminated pond) pop up in places. Cons: - The dog whistle for herding is... challenging to use. Even altering left and right easily, it's hard getting domestic animals (and in a late case, wild ones) to go where you want them to. I found it easier to pet them every 20 seconds or so, so they'd follow you. Much easier. - Horse navigation is clunky. You guide their direction with your mouse and it's third person view. The sprint speed tends to make them go off hard left or hard right sometimes with no discerning reason other than you breathed a little tough in that direction. (There's a mini-game that actually feels LESS clunky, but not much) - The map size. It starts small, but my goodness it gets positively massive when you start getting near endgame. Have a tent handy to sleep outside easily otherwise the 'spooky wolves' will be out to get you. I'd say use the horse to get around faster if it wasn't as clunky to use as previously stated. - Geese. The hit-box on these are questionable and sometimes you get stunned even though they're a good two sword lengths away from you. I find running around a rock and then returning to dig for the white X rocks for 'collectibles' was my path of least resistance. Sometimes I was able to get first strike on the geese using this 'fleeing' pattern - Bees. Be careful with your food supply when around these things. While you can use heavy ingredient recipes to boost your max stamina, if you're stung by bees, your 'semi-permanent' max health gets nerfed each time you get stung. You have to basically munch on high-ingredient/high-refined foods to get it back after being attacked. Sometimes the bee smoker doesn't work when you go to retrieve honey (range detection issue) or when you go to catch forest bees for the first time, you're gonna get stung once or twice alternating between net and bee smoker. - Weeds. The detection on the shovel tip can be... trying. I found coming in on the side of the plot and aligning the tip with weeds that grow in between or under your crops are easily removed this way. Sometimes it's impossible to find the right angle and you have to dig up that crop to 're-start' its growth cycle after you clear the weed that was stuck under it. - Exploration gating: You will not be able to go corner to corner early. Nails are given to you after key dreams or conversations with your grandparents happen, don't go looking for them or to craft them. - Mountain Goating can get you stuck in places (I have a Screenshot where I managed to get outside the map and I'm doing a hard staredown at a wolf well past 10 pm. I had to let the wolf get me so that I'd respawn at the farm. Minus the few clunky navigation issues, this was a short farm sim time waster that has a cute story and interesting 'mini-games' with all sorts of animals.

Really fun, simple farming simulator that is very relaxing to play and there is always something to do around the farm. Well optimized too.

Edit, I wanted to add this tip to avoid frustration: For now you only get one pumpkin from grandma, so do not cook it. Rather, you should plant it if you want to have pumpkins in your game. Do the same with the strawberry she gives you. Now after 27 hours I am not sure if I should restart the game or just go on without pumpkins and hope they are added later. Original Review: This is a very cute game, and the devs have already proven that they are listening to feedback by promptly releasing a patch just before the game launched! It has been a pleasure just watching in the Discord how well they have been treating the community, first by allowing early access to the pre-orders, and then by addressing player concerns so quickly in a patch. I do wish their team all the best and look forward to continuing to support them in the future as they release more content for the game! On top of feeling spoiled by the devs, the game is beautiful and fun. There are mini-games for the different tasks such as milking your cow, playing with your adorable pets, and cooking. The food looks delicious and the games are cute! Some things take some practice, and it looks like they will continue to implement quality-of-life improvements. The dreams are a neat idea that I’ve enjoyed so far. I think this game is worth it to enjoy a beautiful and interesting take on a farming/life sim and to support a good developer. <3

First off, I've been playing this game predominantly on the SteamDeck. I really like it, its cute and cozy and even if you aren't directly advancing the main quest there so much to do around the place. However There are a few gripes, specifically on SteamDeck, the workbench does not scroll through the items properly, it will always keep the last two items below the screen , they can be accessed, but not seen, this has been consistent so far. I have also had a bit of a bug where I couldn't use the d-pad through my inventory, acted like it was frozen however a save and reload did fix that. Some things you come across before the game ever tells you about them and can be a little confusing. There are small differences between PC and SD such as the milking mechanic filling up much quicker on PC. The scene where you're chasing wolves away from your sheep is not fun as they tend to do quite a bit of damage to your farm which is frustrating. I do wish I could more things around the farm but overall despite the small bugs and issues I still really enjoyed the game, I love running around and exploring the map is huge and I've yet to unlock even half of it. I tend to take my games quite slowly and I intend to put plenty more hours into this. Excited to see updates and patches.

To me, the graphics, music, and sounds were a great fit for the genre, and the game has potential. But have you ever played a game where all of the controls just feel slightly off, and there's a major disconnect between you and the game as a result? That's this game for me. One of the key elements to a farming sim game is making sure gathering of any kind is borderline cathartic. It's tedious by nature, so make it a fun experience, where every time you do something it adds to the fun. This game felt more like every time I did something, it made it slightly less fun, which is sad, because like I said, loads of potential. With some time to bake I will definitely give it another try and update this review.

I love this game, but it lacks a bit of balance; Sometimes you'll get flooded with quests, then suddenly find yourself waiting a few in-game days for a single one or grinding for money to complete one. Especially the money part seems a bit unbalance, at least in the first part of the game where I'm currently at. The friendship with the cat and dog also deteriorates too fast which means their "mini-games" becomes boring, very quickly. I've yet to understand the whistle feature for the dog, but this could be a me-problem. Despite a few minor complaints, I do really enjoy this game! The super cute animals, especially the oversize dog, just makes me smile. This game feels new and fresh. The dreaming and small mini-games are nice features that brings something new to the game and they fits right in. You can costumize a lot around the farm and I can see myself spending hours on this alone. I'm personally not a fan of having to "befriend" a whole village, like most of these type of games have, but there are no human friendship/marrige status in this and I really love that. It also adds to the relaxing atmosphere, that you don't have to keep track of favorite gifts etc. Overall this is a super relaxing and very cute game that I would highly recommened! - Played with Xbox One Wireless controller.

I was privileged enough to receive Early Access to Everdream Valley simply by preordering. Within the first three days prior to the official release, I became deeply immersed by this true masterpiece. The captivating storyline with enjoyable quests keeps the experience fresh and exciting. Everdream Valley can be described as a general life simulation with major influences of farming and city creation. The experience can only be slightly compared to a mixture of Stardew Valley and the Animal Crossing series as Everdream Valley took a unique approach to this style that honestly does not miss a beat. As an added bonus, the development team behind this wonder have been extremely responsive and engaged within the community. I hope that this game has a bright future with continuous updates that The Everdream Valley Development Team, Mooneaters, already appear to have planned with great consideration to the positive and constructive feedback received. I honestly have zero negatives at this moment and certainly plan on completing the entertaining main storyline and the exciting side quests as well as receiving all of the achievements within this game out of pure enjoyable. I greatly recommend this game to all as I am positive that no one would be disappointed as I simply cannot discuss this amazing sensation any more without the user personally experiencing it and understanding this near perfection of a game. Everdream Valley receives my deep and genuine praise and deserves my highest recognition.

Definitely recommend this game but the herding really upsets me ;w; it was what made me rage quit the demo and it almost made me rage quit again today T_T It made me physically sick bc of the camera swinging from one side to the other, not to mention the difficulty getting just one animal into the target areas ;w; Otherwise, the graphics, mini games, story, etc. have all been beautiful and whimsical! Love that I can pet the animals <3
