WARNING: The DLCs only work if you log into your EA account in-game. Be wary, password requirements between Origin and the game are not the same. My password contained a semicolon, and while I could log in to Origin, the game gave me an "Illegal Character" warning. I had to change the password. Without the log in, the DLCs show up in the menu, but are marked as "unauthorized" and the content doesn't show up.

EDIT 2:There is a way to make it work and i feel stupid for not trying it before, so i hope this will save some time and frustration for people. If you take and run the game through the DLC "play now" from the store page, it'll allow you to connect to the servers, even though the base game won't if you got the DLC. (weird right?) Anyways, no issues for me now. The DLC not working bug due to being unable to connect to the servers is an old one. Like, Spore being released on Steam old. The fix for the Spore server issue, was to download origin and run Spore through it and log into the servers that way. Afterwards, you were able to run it through steam no problem, without having to monkey with the insanity that is origin. Going to see if that works with this, and will update after i find out. Edit: Nevermind, Origin is still trash. Love the game, hate the system blocking me and many others from using what we paid for. (If you have a fix, do let me know.)

Okay so the reason why the dlc isn't working for a lot of people is because you need to be logged into the EA account that the lite version of Origin is using. If you log into a different account, it won't let you use the dlc. I had no clue what account Origin was using or if it was even using an account, so I just made a new one and that's why it wouldn't work. Because the EA account I was logged into didn't own Dragon Age 2 and the dlc. If you also don't know what EA account Origin is using for you, open the game and you should be able to pull up Origin via the bottom right of your taskbar where background programs go (next to the volume mixer). First verify that Origin shows that you own Dragon Age 2 (it'll say its from steam as well). Click on Dragon Age 2, and also go to extra content to verify that this account also owns the dlc (It definitely should but just to make extra sure) Then click on the bottom left where it says your username to bring up your profile, and top right will be edit on EA.com. That should bring up all your account information and even let you edit your email if you need to "forgot password". Once you figured out your account log in that Origin is logged into, use that to log into in game and it should work immediately. There's no reason it should work this way. There's already two levels of verification that you own the dlc(steam and origin), no need to log into your EA account a 2nd time. And EA customer support is absolutely fucking useless. Granted english didn't seem to be the dude's first language, all he did was go off of a script. I listed the subject as "dlc isn't working, showing as unauthorized", and he thought I couldn't launch the game. AND his route to get me to launch the game was "verify you own the content, and then try to launch the game". That was literally it, he legitimately asked if I had any more problems I needed help with after I told him I had launched the game.

I can't believe I have to torrent a game I already bought just to access the DLC that I ALREADY HAVE!!!!

I cannot get the DLC to work. Other people's workarounds don't work for me. We shouldn't have to work around problems like this. We should be able to expect better than this from EA and steam.

Nightmare to get working. The DLC is worth getting, but the headache associated with making it playable might not be. The following made the DLC appear in my game: The EA account associated with your steam ID must be logged in to the game itself. When you launch the game, login to the email address of your EA ID - if you use any other email, the DLC will appear as unauthorised. EA support was useless with this. Spent an hour trying to get them to fix it.

This is the Bane of my existence, I'm going insane trying to play this dlc, Supposedly you have to log in (in the in game menu) to authorize dlc you already have installed, I wouldn't know about it since i can't log in! Unable to connect to Dragon age servers. Please try again. Hehehehehe i tried again and again and again for 15 hours! at this point It's a sunk cost fallacy for me. The thing is this game is a decade old and EA of course has let all the support around it rot, so if you have a problem it's time to read through these ancient forum posts for problems that are as old as the game itself, but whose solutions don't work anymore. I even went as far as calling EA support (insane right?) Twice, the first had the gall to tell me that they couldn't do anything since the game was so old? and the second had me do the most brain dead things like uninstalling everything (even steam)and reinstalling it, only to tell me to report it as a bug. So yeah i give up. Edit: Ok so i finally got it working by first logging into dragon age origins then log in into dragon age 2 while having origins open, and that worked... somehow. The thing is the DAO costs 30 dollars and while i personally didn't mind having to buy it since i like the whole trilogy, you might see the problem with being force to buy another game to use content in the game you already own. But i doubt EA will fix this so take it or leave it i guess.

The DLC does work. Problem is you have to have a EA account for them to work.

Don't listen to all the negative reviews. If you buy the bundle and play the game you just have to log in with your EA account (like usual) and all your DLC is there. Nothing wrong with this bundle.

I found a fix to enable the DLC for DA2 Requirements: Dragon Age Origin Step 1- Go on DAO and login on there ( the login button thingy is on the bottom left of the menu ) with your origin account Step 2- Alt-Tab out of DAO (keep it open) Step 3- Start up Dragon Age 2 and log in on there and it should work I tried a bunch of other methods and this is the only one I found that works, no help from origin support... Good luck!
