  Game is a masterpiece: -You want to hunt giant monsters? You got it. -You want to slay dragons? Check. -You want to explore dark dungeons filled to the brim with angry ghosts and other miscellaneous horrors that will tear you to shreds? Absolutely covered. -You want giant spells so graphically intensive that they'll make your ps3 yellow light, die, and lose all of your saved game data? This is the game for you. Dragon's Dogma has so much replay value. This game never stops giving and will constantly challenge you to the fullest if you're not prepared. Please, please give this game a shot. You will not regret it. I also still love this game despite it originally murdering my ps3 - that's how good it is.

  Before you start playing DRAGON'S DOGMA you should know that goblins don't like fire. Take care you aren't soaked in water. Make sure you have enough curatives and an ample supply of oil. The bandits are armed and wolves hunt in packs. And most importantly - a cyclops has but one eye!

  An underrated masterpiece of a game. You get to kill a dragon and abuse a race of slave people designed by god to serve you.

  I am here to echo the sentiment of this game being very underrated and slept on. I came from hundreds of hours of Skyrim, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, and Breath of the Wild. Dragon's Dogma seemed right up my alley. I am happy to report that I wasn't disappointed at all. Dragon's Dogma released in 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and it likely got overshadowed by Skyrim and Dark Souls. But the game is absolutely worth your time, and in many ways it does feel like an Elder Scrolls game if it had actual, good combat. The combat and pawn system are the biggest selling points of the game. The pawn AI is generally very good, and though their dialogue can get repetitive sometimes ("WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS") there is a charm to it, in no small part thanks to how good the voice acting is. You know that feeling familiar to the LOTR films or kids playing DnD? That feeling of being an actual party of adventurers facing peril together in a fantasy world? With the nerdy camaraderie and sense of adventure, like you're a bunch of kids dressing up like knights and wizards? This game (and potentially Elden Ring) is the only game I've played that has actually captured that feeling in the most authentic way. The interactions with your pawns during combat, and the thrill of climbing a huge monster while your mages pelt it with spells is incredible. The combat on its own should sell most people on the game. It has the same satisfying nature to it familiar to anyone who uses greatswords in FromSoft or Monster Hunter games. There is good hitlag and emphasis on timing and positioning. Paired with the climbing system and the incredible music, it lends itself to some truly Lord Of The Rings-feeling moments throughout the game (specifically, it may remind you of when the Fellowship took down the cave troll in the Mines of Moria). The lack of convenient fast travel, besides the few portcrystals they give you is one of my biggest gripes with the game - as well as the lack of variety in scenery in many places. But these aren't things that should dissuade you from the game. I am only 32 hours into the game and yet to finish it, but I cannot stress enough how much this game needs more of your attention. It quickly became one of my favorite games. I am having a blast and I cannot wait for the sequel which was recently announced.
