TLDR: Cool and unique DLC for a still buggy and unpolished game. The reason for the thumbs down is purely because the game still has so many glaring issues and now they are releasing DLC. Heads up: You can save a few bucks if you purchase this as part of a bundle (listed on the store page) as pointed out by another user. It's minimal, but yeah. It's nice of the devs to have this option in my opinion. That's cool of them. Finland faction is terribly weak in this so be aware of that. Like horrifically outgunned by even the lighter Russian armor. But... They are also awesome to see in action. This DLC adds a lot - and the new content is cool, but there are still so many bugs present, lots of inconsistencies, and the game is too overbalanced due to obvious biases so the game doesn't really fit with the realism and historical accuracy that they market the game to be. AI is still terrible and has bugs, glitches, and tons of issues making them painful to use. The new maps have some serious pathfinding issues. Not enough content for the price though. Ignore the reviews that say they got this for free from today - they are paid moderators who praise the game no matter what. I counted 4. Crashes still seem to be present even with this latest DLC/update and on vanilla (no mods) The game is not a bad one, but there are some serious issues with it. From launch day, they have been horrible GAME BREAKING issues that have been reported dozens of times and some of these STILL EXIST. This expansion/update seems to have broken some things as well that were working - but that is understandable. A lot changed. I am glad they released this DLC and the big update that went with it, but I don't feel that they should have been doing DLCs already considering the main game still has SO many problems and it's not even finished yet as they have said before. (But they also say it is a finished product and many bugs are "features" yet they occasionally fix their "features" so that's odd) Sloppy. The devs still have not enabled the bot players to use combined arms so we have to rely on a mod to do so. The bots only ever use a few light vehicles, tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of tanks (including very heavy tanks) and spam infantry and an occasional mortar/arty/AT piece. The odd thing is, the bots know how to use static mgs and everything else but the devs don't add them in for reasons beyond my understanding.

Unique and fun. Buggy and unpolished. Bit harsh of me ? Nah. Sick of devs releasing buggy crap and expecting the consumer to remain silent and deal with it. Nope, I will not. I will thumb this otherwise okay DLC down for being released in it's state.

Interesting faction to try and recreate their success while being out gunned and out manned in every instance. Love the work and dedication to history.

I have no idea who designed those maps but Im 100% they didnt test them. First map in Talvisota campaign is mostly fine until SMK and left flank pop up. You have to move your new AT gun or it will be stuck in ground, unable to fire over premade cover and you cant resupply it with new truck since there are trenches in the way. So you either have to pray that it has enough ammo for it to fend off multiple tanks or micro your supply truck trough the trenches while SMK tears you a new ahole. Also mgs in bunkers can be dislocated from their firing holes making them useless. Second map is fine, outside of sideobjective droppoint, you can have truck tow a gun to the extraction point just to have truck get sent into shadow realm leaving towed gun and the driver alone, meaning you have to pull another guy from the front line in a mission where you already have few troops to begin with. Third mission broke me. It was going good, I had secured my half of the map and was preparing to assault 76mm guns position, even dealt with quad mg that was shooting me from outside the map boundaries and I started slowly sending my troops and tank to deal with the 76mm. And then it fucking happend. Map suddenly shrunks vertically, pushing out my infantry and tank out in the open and supply truck, armored car and at gun that I held in the back now are stuck in the limbo. Out of three I could only save armored car. And while it shrunk vertically it also widdenend horizontaly so in addition to my infantry and tank being thrown out into open Im also attacked from right side and getting mortard. Tanks get detracked by mortar, infantry loses 2 men including medic before I figure out what the hell just happend and starts running out of ammo while my supply truck is stuck in the limbo.

Well, modelling 40 VEHICLES, 20 WEAPONS and 50 UNIFORMS, making 43 MAPS, and programming 12 MISSIONS isn't easy. I fell in love with this dlc. It is worth 18 dollars, or 30 turkish liras in my country. BUY IT!

Good DLC You get a decent amount of content in terms of missions and the Fin's play vary different then Germany or the Soviets relying more on support equipment and grunts then Tanks in later parts of matches. Makes me excited to see what they have planed next.

It's a DLC for DLC! We're hitting autism levels that shouldn't even be possible.

The campaign has been a disappointment so far. The first mission was a pure defense mission, where on the hard difficulty I just sat back and made sure my AT guns had ammo. For about 30 minutes. Only time I had to control my units was when an enemy tank, which I needed to kill to end the mission, got stuck. Second mission was sort of interesting, the secondary objective had you scavenge enemy vehicles and artillery, and bringing them back to your base. However, there was no reward for this. The vehicles that you brought back simply disappeared. They weren't even driven off of the map, they just vanished on the spot. You did not get to use them later, you didn't get more resources for capturing these vehicles, nothing. The only reward was a check mark on the objectives menu. Really disappointing. The third mission has actually made me rage quit. One of the premises of this mission is that once you complete a certain objective, the map opens up, and you get to move to a new area. However, before this happens, enemies in that portion of the map, which you cannot see and cannot interact with, are still allowed to attack and kill your troops. This is infuriating. My infantry got gunned down by emplacements that I could not see and could not kill over and over again. Furthermore, once that next area opens up, all of your troops, for some reason, are teleported away from the positions that they were in, to a new location on the map, which, if you did not pre-clear of enemies, will mean that all of your troops are killed while a cutscene is playing. This is a terrible idea. Leave my troops in the positions that I put them in. The skirmishes are pretty fun tho, really reminiscent of the old Men of War games.
