  Bad-ass twin stick rogue-like implemented by seriously talented developers. Perfect in every way with extreme vibes from the PS3's Super Stardust HD and Star-ship Troopers. This magnificent twin-stick is played out on gorgeous looking spherical play-fields with a good progression system and 2 additional un-lockable characters. Progression is character independent allowing for good longevity though the game's stages can get repetitive. Stages though remain challenging and hold your interest as you advance in ability. The game can be difficult but stick with it and as you invest into character, drone or weapon attributes you will be rewarded with new play-field dynamics as you progress. A real Steam hidden gem.

  It's fun, but I personally don't find it fun or varied enough to be worth even $4 compared to other games like it.

  The game is a pure adrenalin rush and feels like an explosion opera! It's fun to dodge the million bullets and enemies and combine attacks with the jetpack and special abilities. The difficulty is quite steep, but it's therefore super satisfying to make progress. Awesome title!

  A fun Topdown-Shooter with Bossfights, Roguelike elements and a slight bullet hell touch. It's feels easy to pick up, hard to master and the progression though upgrades, which you can buy after each run, make it very motivating to keep going. The coop works very well too and are a great addition if you want to have some quick fun with a buddy.

  I love everything about Battle Planet - Judgement Day. The gameplay, premise, and visual aesthetics are all superb. The permanent progression allows unspent upgrade chips to carry over to subsequent runs, while weapons, along with item upgrades can be shared by all characters. Meaning you only have to use your points on those two categories once. This allows you to focus on upgrading character specific traits between runs, or at upgrade posts after missions. The gameplay loop is based on being fair to the player, which makes it hard to stop playing. Battle Planet feels fast, frenetic, and fun!! Controlling each avatar feels unique, and the overall feel of the game is buttery smooth. No complaints here, just a great game. Cheers to the development team.

  This is a fantastic rogue-lite top down shooter. + Great visuals and unique aesthetics. + Very good combat. + Good learning curve. + 3 different Heros which play very differently. + Persistent upgrades for your hero, pick up weapons and abilities. + Upgrade currency doesn't reset between runs like in some other Rogue games, if you earned 3,000 chips in one game and 1,500 in the next one, you will have 4,500 chips. + 40 levels in campaign and challenge levels after you beat final boss. + 10 to 15 hours of gameplay to 100% the game depending on skill level. + Good boss fights. + Good variety of enemies and their mechanics. - One of the heroes [spoiler](Psycho)[/spoiler] is a lot better than the other two. - Some of the pick up weapons are quite useless compared to even the default weapon. - Some of the abilities are also very subpar. - Unskippable boss intro cutscenes but they are short.

  Great game feel, great mechanics, great soundtrack. Unfortunately the game is a bit short. But over all a great game.

  Battle planet is a mix of wave/objective based twin stick shooter with a dash of roguelite elements. Initially designed for the console market. The overall premise that the planetiod/moon rotates around the player, which makes for some rather quirky bullet hell scenarios. Average completion time: 6-10 hours (with psycho) Number of achievements: 13 Difficulty: casual/average Replay-ability: tied to achievements Online playerbase: none applicable (has local coop/remote play)
