  A game to play if you want to relax. I admit I was hesitant to play it due to being spoiled by newer HOPA games with voice acting, cutscenes, active maps, fast travel, and better hints. But I knew this was a classic of one of my favorite types of games, and there was a bundle sale, so why not? It took time to adjust to the older style of game play, but eventually I got the hang of it, but it did take me trial and error to find a few things. The puzzles were enjoyable, but not challenging. I felt the graphics, while they have aged, are pretty decent for the time it was made. I consider this a game to play when you just want to unwind for the day and play a few puzzles. It isn't as intricate or as polished as modern ones, but if you do love HOPA and want to see the roots, I don't think you can go wrong with this. I'm looking forward to seeing other games in this title to see how the series evolved overtime.

  I played this back when Big Fish Games was pretty big and you could do the hour long trial, and I remember loving it. Now that I have Adult Money™ and am not 10 years old I am finally able to achieve my dreams and finish this game. Overall it's a pretty solid entry-level hidden object game, great for younger kids.

  This is a great and relaxing game. I adore the nice graphics and all the places in the game too. As a player, I was introduced to some interesting characters. Overall the game is refreshing and spirit lifting. And I loved it so much. Pros: - Gameplay - Great and magical story - Journal with containing clues to the puzzles - Enchanting atmosphere

  This is Awakening #1, a charming, classic hidden-object game. At times quite challenging, because the objects to find are very small and the resolution low. Point-and-click adventuring puzzles are also difficult, as some backtracking is expected. And there's no map. But everything does work together well. The series keeps getting better, but this a nice, humble beginning.

  I used to play this over and over as a kid, and replaying definitely did NOT disappoint!! Would recommend to anyone who just wants a chill puzzle game to relax and play :))

  I love the art of this game and overall the story is really good. (my problem is that the character was a child when she went into her 100 year slumber.) Mira the fairy also is not the most helpful unless you are in the correct area and have the items.

  This is a beautiful, light-hearted Hidden Object Adventure game. It's a fun story full of activities & dialogue that kept me going from one thing to another. It has a lesser number of HOPs, plus a good mix of puzzles & mini games that seemed just right for difficulty. -There is a helpful journal. -Hint/skip button. That works mostly for HOPs, games, puzzles. The hint button does not show you which way to go and mostly says, "there's nothing to do here." -You can't choose a difficulty level. -There is no map or fast travel feature and there is nothing to show you areas where you can take action. -You will not always know what items can be clicked on when searching an area. Sometimes it shows as a hot spot when you hover over it, and other times you have no idea you can click on it. -You have plenty of things to collect in order to play the mini games & puzzles. If you can't find one, the hint does not show you where to find it.

  Recommended! Overall a good game, a click to find kind of game where you need to find clues to solve stuff along the way out. Nothing super exciting but a good game if you have 2h to spare.

  Only on sale. Pros .Fairy tale atmosphere .Lovely artwork/graphics/scenes .Enhancing music/sounds .Stationary toolbar .Moderately intricate and challenging adventure play .Easy to moderately challenging hidden object scenes .Easy to moderately challenging mini-puzzles Cons .Very light on story .No difficulty options offered .No mini-map (so no fast travel) .No indication when objects in correct position for possible use .Same type of mini-puzzles repeated .Clicky-picky .Responsiveness can be slow ,Hint system was unreliable (ie failed to indicate available actions; Indicated already completed puzzles) .Very, very short Final thoughts (6/10): I enjoyed this game, despite the lack of bells and whistles and its numerous flaws. Appropriate for any age.
