  Though it's got decent 3D models, the animations are jerky, the story feel very rail roady (feel a though nothing you do make any difference at all). Pretty much no pleasure from playing this, in fact I got bored of it and only played so long because I wanted to know if anything changed further in... sadly it didn't. Fortunately I bought it on sale but I don't think this is one I'll continue playing to even one ending.

[h1]Gameplay[/h1] Before starting the game, a brief tutorial shows up on-screen. It explains basic controls and options, such as the ability to skip (already watched) scenes and the "fetish book". The fetish book allows you to disable any content that you might not be interested in, such as "futa, tentacles" and "pregnancy". From your inventory, there are a variety of books which provide useful information when activated. Though this game uses the RPGMaker engine, it plays-out more like a visual novel. You don't go around slaying baddies and grinding for new equipment. Instead, you go from place to place, as consequences of your actions or in the name of exploration. This title is story heavy, and as such expect a lot of reading and visual content. [h1]Story[/h1] Tara is a student of Magicus University, and she's a senior. She's the first elf (from her hometown) to attend Magicus, so she's got a bit of weight on her shoulders. She [i]must[/i] graduate Magicus, at all costs. Another student reveals to her that one or more boys are conspiring to sabotage her, and that she should know. After attending a school-wide meeting, it is also revealed that beings called "Invigilators" have been called to straighten out the students' flaws. After the meeting, Tara encounters an invigilator. He disguised himself as an academically challenged goblin, and requests her help. She treats him like [i]scum[/i], and he reveals his true form. He casts a curse upon her. Anytime she treats another poorly, she will be overtaken with [i]insatiable[/i] lust, which will grow stronger each time she mistreats another. This was his way to force Tara to overcome her problems with [i]peaceful[/i] solutions. A man she used and abused (as her magic guinea pig) hears [i]everything,[/i] and he takes full advantage of the situation. He sneaks into the Tara's room, and blackmails her. She must do [i]anything[/i] he asks, or else he'll tell everyone about the curse (thereby allowing them to use her as [i]they[/i] see fit) and how she invoked an invigilator's wrath. So, he does the logical thing and [i]violates[/i] her. But that's not all! Through a series of schemes and sneaky spell casting, a pair of boys wind up as her [i]masters.[/i] One of the boys becomes her "probation officer", with the power to expel her with a signature. So he (and his partner in crime) do the logical thing, which is [i]sexually exploit and demean her in front of her peers.[/i] She needs to figure out how to deal with all of the men [i]abusing[/i] her, how to remove her curse, [i]and on top of all that[/i] graduate Magicus! [h1]Visuals[/h1] The title screen is basic and unimpressive, lacking even an "option" selection. The game itself is a strange combination of 3D renders and pixel art. Scenes and character portraits are rendered in 3D, but the game-play uses pixel art. The 3D renders [i]try[/i] to match with the pixel assets, but the lack of original pixel art makes the discrepancies clear. But credit where credit's due, the developers [i]tried.[/i] [b]- The Goods -[/b] Sexual content is rendered with 3D models as animations and stills. In static scenes, there are a lot of pictures to smash through, keeping visual content fresh. The models resemble those of Daz Studio or Poser, freeware 3D rendering software. The renders themselves are decent, but far from professional. The animations are well done, however. Scenes are accompanied by a series of dialogue boxes, which I found distracting. Scenes can be viewed in-game from a pentagram in the protagonist's room. [h1]Verdict[/h1] I had mixed feelings going into this game, and the visuals remain a source of contention with me (in regards to style clashing). However, I've laughed out loud multiple times, and there's plenty of lewd scenes to keep you pressing on. This titles a bit pricey, but it's jacked with content.   The game has a pretty comical story and half the fun is wondering what the hell this poor girl will have to do next. Some of the endings can be a bit of a pain to unlock and there really isn't much out there for guides. One thing I will say is if you are playing with the intention of unlocking all of the cut scenes then do as little homework as possible. The developer is a very friendly guy and when I emailed him with a bug I found in game, he was extremely quick to reply. -*-*-*-*-*Spoiler Alert*-*-*-*-*- [spoiler] Once you miss 3 assignments in at least 2 classes you can skip homework and just go right to bed. Also the way you destroy the document is on Day 16 when Sinus is following you, open your inventory and look at the key items page and click the document. Also before you go to bed each night make sure to do a quick check of the Library, I don't remember the days buy twice Golby will be in that area and he is easy to miss if your not specifically checking [/spoiler]

  Story & character driven, ‘Adventures of Tara’ follows the misadventures of a female elf-mage, looking to do something that no one in her family has done… unfortunately for her, but fortunate for us, it ends up requiring her to do more and more risky and adult things that she never planned for. High quality 3D artwork and using the RPG Maker Game Engine, you can choose the route that Tara is going to take… will you allow her to be a blackmailed toy of one of her classmates? Will she remain true to her own values? Or will she become everyone’s little plaything. It’s all up to you in this hot, adult (XXX) adventure! I really enjoyed this game, tried different routes for Tara and look forward to any sequel that comes out! Nice job!!

  TLDR: It's an okay game. But there are better out there, and for same price no less. This is a tough one to review, and I wish there was middle ground instead of just 'yes or no'. I'll explain: This review has been revised too effect the changes made as of May 11 2020. Changes are marked. [h1]The Pros:[/h1] Good looking character models. No censorship. Interesting(ish) story* The game is stable, that is I didn't see any crashes. [h1]The Mid-ground (but can be fixed with patches):[/h1] [strike]Some major oversights in story design, that display how little choices matter.[/strike] Edit: Some of the above oversights have been fixed***, spoiler at the end if you want to know more detail. [strike]Bugs that range from as bad as the above, to a full set of controls (The W,A,S,D keys) not functioning at all.[/strike] Edit: The 'W,A,S,D' controls now work as described in-game. [h1]The Cons:[/h1] Choices don't seem to really matter.** Some of the naughty scenes are extremely obvious of being like a flip book cycling between 2 images. *The interesting(ish) story I can't really list as a gripe because the store description itself let's you know what your in for with Tara being 'violated' repeatedly. But there are some key areas when the story falls apart and makes no sense if you try to find interesting ways to get out of having that happen. Sometimes it downright contradicts itself. Which brings me to the other thing. **Some choices don't seem to really matter. For example (with as little spoilers as possible): Every day Tara must talk to the one 'violating' her, 2ce a day. When talking to this individual Tara knows she needs to expose herself. It gives you a choice when entering this individual's room to do just that before the order is given. If you choose to wait until the order is given, showing the most resistance, Tara still ends up the same way as if she had shown no resistance at all. [spoiler] Enjoying it. Or otherwise known as getting a case of 'Stockholm Syndrome'.[/spoiler] ***[spoiler] The main glaring oversight that I was most frustrated and confused by was that if you told the individual mentioned above that you where not going to do what he said at a point by visiting a shop. You could still invite a classmate into the shop to act as a 'shield' against that individual's plans. By being a potential witness to ill-intent against Tara. This has been corrected and that option is no longer available, because Tara didn't need a 'shield' or 'witness' in the first place. [/spoiler]

  Pros: -Gorgeous protaganist -who doesn't want to go to wizard school? -even if its an adult themed wizard school? Cons: -Path is a bit forced in the begining -Loss of oportunity in giving prot more agency and class selection I am going to recommend this game if you are looking for an adult, fantasy wizard school game with a sort of "cruel intentions" sort of vibe. At least in the early game, the path seems a bit forced, which is always one of my main critique points with these sorts of games. However, as you go further in you do gain a bit more agency. Further Tara is a well crafted heroine if you are into beautiful, attractive young blonde elves. Overall I wish there was a bit more free will availabe for our heroine....it would have been nice to have her pick her classes and I feel that there never should be a 100% enforced lewd scene with no hope of evasion possible....so, basically room for improvement, but the cut scenes, adult or otherwise, are gorgeous and well done. Obviously only buy this game if you are okay with adult content and you don't mind being gender locked as a female, but this is a good game overall.

  Congratulations, you play a character that no matter what you do ends up being abused and raped though the game's description tries to imply you can change or prevent the negative things from occurring. Refund requested as there is no way to 'redeem' you character only the ability to 'watch' the disaster unfold.

  There are scenes and events that cannot be avoided. So don't count on your choices meaning anything. In this game, you play a character who has her (admittedly over abundant) pride sexually abused out of her. If you're into that sort of thing, more power to you. But I'm not having any fun.
