  Charming little Rampage-like game which has a lot of dark humor in it and even mocks current cultural phenomenons. But beware: not suitable for children because there is a lot of gore to see! Update: The gameplay is much better than in the original Rampage game, because in that one, you did had dozens of different cities to destroy, which sometimes looked different, but the gameplay loop was always identical. In Terror of Hemasaurus (ToH) instead, every level has a different goal to achieve (like you have to kick a specific amount of meeple into helicopter blades or you have do destroy the blue skyscrapers, without them having collapse into the red ones, etc. etc.). This makes the amount of different levels smaller, but they feel a lot more individual, in that way. I like that a lot! The special attack of each creature is different, so you will find your favorite one, pretty soon. Even the difficulty (later in the game) is not as trivial as in the original Rampage game, back then. There are even some small special "bosses" around in some levels. Some levels are plain silly and more a nice joke than a full grown level. But in a good way, with sidekicks from the storyline. Like the first and (especially) the second pet hospital level. That made me burst out in laughter. (SPOILER ALERT: Imagine, you have to save cute little dogs and cats by taking them in your fists and putting (or throwing) them into a cage of a flying helicopter. Then, you click the wrong button and instead of taking the cute little critter into your hand, you eat it. nom-nom-nom. Damn! Then you take one and try to throw it into the cage of the chopper, since the time is running out but you miss the cage, and the poor little woofer flies straight into the rotor blades of the chopper, damaging it, so it flies straight into the hospital, exploding in a hell of a firestorm. While you are screaming: "oh no, damn!", there are tears of laughter dribbling down your cheeks... That kind of gameplay. SPOILER END) It is a clear recommendation to anyone who likes pixelarts, chaotic, funny and crazy gameplay, embedded in a neat and humorous story line.

  Good fun, homage to kaiju films and rampage. Works fantastic on steam deck, ideal game for the format imo. Friendly to bite sized play sessions, frequent stopping points, performance is pretty solid save for a touch of frame dipping when screen gets especially busy (like knocking down two sky scrapers with an ultimate attack when everything is crashing and on fire with people raining out of the windows also on fire) Good time all around, best $10 I spent all week.

  Inspired by the classic Midway game, Rampage. Terror of Hemasaurus is a a hell lots of fun! The physics of the world alongside the destruction makes lots and lots of fun messing around with the mechanics of the game. See a rocket? Kick it, A car is coming? Kick it, watch it crashing through the buildings, then kick it again before reaching the ground for style points. Also bonus points for bringing up nostalgia, reminding me of playing Rampage alongside my cousins back in early 2000s. ps: don't watch the Rampage movie, staring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It's terrible. Play Terror of Hemasaurus instead!!

  THIS. GAME. IS. INCREDIBLE! Nostalgic, Hilarious, Poignant, and HELLA FUCKING FUN!!! If you like Big Monsters and smashing shit, this game is for you. Instantly a part of my Go-To Couch Co-Op collection and just GREAT after a long day!

  Terror of Hemasaurus is significantly more dynamic than the original Rampage or Rampage World Tour. Buildings have physics and can collapse into one another, which is extremely satisfying. Cars can be kicked into buildings to damage them, and civilians on the ground can be brutalized in numerous ways that interact with both other civilians and enemies. Enemies can and will cause collateral damage to buildings attempting to harm you. The controls are a bit floaty, especially when on the ground. There's a noticeable slide at the end of movement, and kicking and punching move your character forward a slight amount. This makes movement feel inaccurate at times. Default keyboard controls utilize the numpad, which my keyboard doesn't have, so I used a controller. I'm most used to Rampage World Tour, and I had to adjust my expectations of how buildings are climbed in Terror of Hemasaurus. I completed the Arcade/Story mode in about 3 hours, and all the achievements in roughly 10. The Story mode has a very dark absurd style of humor that I enjoyed. The Story Mode also does an excellent job of introducing the game mechanics. The game is let down by a lack of variety in numerous facets: 1: There's really only 4 enemy types in the game (Helicopters, Gun Infantry, Rocket Infantry, Tanks) 2: Level layout in Endless Mode is pretty limited, and doesn't include variations where the buildings are clustered close enough together for a domino effect to really happen. (It would help if they'd allow Endless levels to utilize Story Mode assets) 3: Building destruction becomes a bit repetitive given the limited tools available to the monsters themselves- punch, butt-slam, and your ultimate are it on levels where vehicles or other objects don't spawn in. 4: Besides ultimate abilities, all 4 monsters in the game play identically. That said, I really enjoyed my time with Terror of Hemasaurus, and for the $10 I paid I can see myself playing it enough to feel like it was a good value. I can easily recommend it to any existing fans of the Rampage Franchise looking for their city destruction fix, especially those who will enjoy the physics-based elements Terror of Hemasaurus has.

  As a father of 4, this game is a dream come true: * 4-player couch co-op game * easy to pick up * has cute pixel graphics * has fun building destruction * we love it There are many nights and weekends to look forward to. There aren't too many 4-player couch co-op games that are appealing to my kids. My only suggestion is that I wouldn't have minded if I had to unlock the characters, but I suppose it was designed as an arcade game such that it should be picked up and played immediately.
