Maybe Spoiler 16 Years since Release. So much Time gone through my first Finish. There is no harder Fight than the that one with "!YOURSELF"/ your Shadow/ your Darkside. If you see Link on the Water Temple fight his own Dark Spirit as one of the best Fights in the Game- History and really rough because he nearly counters everything. Than there was Spiderman 3 where Venow showed, even a Peter Park had a lot of Trouble deep inside of himself, even if he has a lucky Life-Periode beeing on the Sunshine Side. In Legend of Zelda Twillight Princess was shown Dark Link again. Every Hero struggling. And than there was Metroid Prime 2 Echoes & Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Samus Aran Fights vs Dark Samus as her strongest Opponent ever. This Time it looks like the Dark Side is helpful like Venom by Spiderman make him stronger and help where the Prince would be lost. But the Deal with the Devil never ends good? +++ I love the Story of the Trilogy even if had sad Moments but its a good Ending ++ Sound mostly very good + Level Design is good + unlimited Saves + Return of Farah & the Dagger of Time <3 Sorry Kaileena + 6 Life Upgrades really well hidden & challenging, even on easy not that easy & without Sand Rewind/ Slowmotion sometimes nearly impossible + 4 Boss Fights with some unique Tactics to beat, sure the Vizier is the best one + Mental Area at the End (like a few Spots from Sand of Time & Warrior Within & 1 Tricky Puzzle to go back (sadly the Ending no Kakulukiam for Farah again, but the Time is an Ocean Beginning of Sand of Time + Gallery with Illustrations with Sands of Time & Warrior Within and all for 1500 Sandpoints, i did over 2000 +/- Game Bug Middle Tower ( only Help in Community Hub but not fixed, watch Video, stop Wallrun RMB when reacg the Leaves/Green) - low Game Time if you rush trough - not many Help with the right Way like Sand ot Time -sometimes there could be more Time Sand sometimes less, not always good balanced -sometimes fast new Save Points, sometimes very far away - some Areas are very empty - Enemys evolved but Dagger not & long Way till u get the Father Sword - Enemys very much the Same like Warrior Within only other Design - the big Statue Puzzle was a little bit to much running from Side to Side & Try and Error - could have some more Water Points - no Screenshots with F12 I love this Trilogy and i am happy i finish it twice. Really worth to replay after such long time a second Walkthrough. Buy it with a Discount & enjoy this Classic Masterpiece. Where are the 3 Remakes of SoT Trilogy? The last game in the classic Prince of Persia trilogy The new gameplay now includes elements of stealth and the ability to do more damage without being seen or heard. Exploration and making progress through climbing, swinging, jumping, sliding and wall-running are still a huge part of the game, which is awesome. They even added some chariot levels. But the biggest change and probably the most important one, is the appearance of the Prince's alter ego The Dark Prince is manifested by an internal voice that speaks to the Prince... at first. The Dark Prince is cold, cruel, arrogant, and sarcastic, and attempts to convince the Prince that they are the same person. And that the Prince should strive to serve only himself, using the Prince's vengeance as a catalyst for his other emotions. On many occasions, the Dark Prince seizes control of the Prince's body. And the Prince is then fully transformed into a kind of hybrid sand monster with new abilities that allow him to pass otherwise insurmountable obstacles While searching for the Vizier, the Prince encounters Farah, who does not remember him, and is surprised that the Prince knows her name. Despite this, the pair begin to grow an entirely new romance together Yuri Lowenthal's iconic soothing voice is back. The Prince would not be the same without it. Beautiful monologues scattered through-out the game make it so much more enjoyable. The music has Persian influences, but is much more epic than Sands of Time. With a touch of grandeur and heroism Some of the characters are familiar to the player, others are new and provocative. But with no doubt, they're all unique and interesting. The Prince changes his appearance several times, as the corruption keeps getting further. There are a lot of weapons, secrets, and other hidden items scattered around the levels The game looks great, as it shows you the very roofs of Babylon and then down into the depths of the city's dry well Solid gameplay, amazing music and voice-acting, great and intriguing storyline. I think the last part of this trilogy really mixed all of the best from the previous games. Thus creating an incredible game that feels great to play

Ahh Prince of Persia. Assassins Creed's older acrobatic brother. This game is great. Youve got combos, sick acrobatic puzzles, and time control. TIME CONTROL! Wanna cheat death by rewinding time to get out of a bottemless pit? easy. messed up a stealth kill on an eenmy and wanna second chance? hit that R button. there are some annoying points though. Some of the jump puzzles are devious. But overall, this game is definatly worth a playthrough. dont even mind the crap graphics, about 5 minutes in, u wont even notice. and besides, its better to have a great game with crappy graphics *cough, zelda, cough*, then a 1080p game that sucks ass. *cough, COD Ghosts, cough*. So go pick it up and get your prince on.

Good old prince of persia. [*]It has widescreen support on its own (no hacking and whatnot). [*]Supports Xbox 360 controller. [*]Runs great on Win 10 with no crashes or whatever. In short "totally worth it".

This was a huge favorite of mine back when it was originally released, so in spite of my reservations about haphazard ports, I was happy when this unadulterated version was released on Steam. As far as I could tell, it seems to be a pretty direct copy of the original. The graphics have been touched up a bit, but the gameplay, content, menus, and music all remain the same as they were a decade ago. Steam has this tagged as “partial controller support”, but aside from a few things on the menu, the whole game is controller friendly. How does the actual gaming experience hold up, though? The graphics are outdated, Ubisoft has moved on to bigger and bolder things with the Assassin’s Creed series, and many avid fans of our favorite wall-running protagonist would tell you to just stick with 2003’s seminal Sands of Time if you want the true POP experience. So what makes Two Thrones worth playing a decade later? There are a number of less important factors I could point to. The music is crisp, regionally appropriate (thank God), and diverse. The voice acting harkens back to the more subtle days of Sands of Time, and the schizophrenic conversations between the Prince and his dark alter-ego are funny, illuminating, and cleverly deployed in support of the game’s overall narrative. The boss battles are varied, make clever use of the game’s mechanics, and, particularly in the case of the final two fights, are truly epic in a way that was often missing in previous series installments. The game is linear, but within that linear construct, it offers you multiple ways to accomplish your objectives. And that brings us to the true strength of this game: Two words: visceral satisfaction. In other words, the quick-kill system. It sounds odd to say that a repetitive system of QTEs positively defines a game, but it isn’t the physical act of button-pressing that makes this mechanism tick; it’s how you get there. In Two Thrones, there are basically three options for combat. You can avoid large parts of it by just platforming past enemies and keeping your eyes on the prize. You can cover yourself in the blood and sands of your enemies by flinging yourself headfirst into combat, where you can breakdance, roll, and slash your way to gruesome victory by means of the same combat system from Warrior Within. The final option, though, is the most satisfying, and the most clever from a game design standpoint. In Sands of Time, platforming and combat were kept largely segregated, and combat was just something you reluctantly waded through so you could get back to traversing the gorgeous landscapes. In Warrior Within, you were still frequently forced into prolonged moments of repetitive hacking, albeit with a mechanically improved combat system. In Two Thrones, however, platforming and combat are finally integrated, and dear lord are they integrated effectively. Instead of just serving as the means to getting from point A to point B, platforming is now also deployed as a way to get the jump on your foes. Instead of waltzing in daggers drawn, you can now climb above, around, and past your enemies in order to sneak up behind them, hear some satisfying middle eastern beats, and quickly dispose of them with some brutally efficient killing strokes. It’s difficult to overstate how satisfying this mechanic is. You will seldom feel like more of a badass than when you’ve executed a series of precise quick-kills to silently eliminate a group of enemies. I found myself replaying parts of the game just to determine how best to utilize the environment to surprise my unsuspecting sand monster friends. That thrill, that desire to maximize the glorious synthesis between your dagger strokes and your gravity-defying stunts, is what drives this game, as well as what keeps you coming back.

So The Sands of Time was this beautiful but very casual Arabian Nights like platforming romp, while Warrior Within was a dark and edgy adventure with quite a bit of challenge. The Two Thrones is the glue that holds them together. It's a very polished game that tried to appease both sides of the fanbase, yet it's ultimately weaker than both of its predecessors. It's also the most similar to Assassin's Creed, you can see the developers toying with a lot of mechanics that would later become staple in Assassin's Creed. The prince and his newest trophy wife from the previous game return to Babylon, his homeland, only to find it under siege from the vizier's forces. The waifu quickly gets killed releasing the sands of time yet again and unleashing chaos in the city. At the same time, the prince discovers his evil alter ego, aptly named the Dark Prince. Can the prince save his homeland and subdue his inner demons? And who will be his final waifu? This is the canonical end of the Sands of Time trilogy. The game was meant to be open world at first, the idea was that you roam the city, switch between Light Prince (normal) and Dark Prince (sand demon), complete various objectives, sneak around and assassinate targets. Thankfully, due to the PS2 hardware limitations and in order to keep the game more faithful to the earlier entries this idea was scrapped. The final product is an entirely linear game, just like The Sands of Time. There's no backtracking whatsoever. The Dark Prince transformations are scripted and unavoidable. The combat is largely similar to Warrior Within, utilizing the same dual wielding system, but neutered. Your main weapon is now the dagger of time, but it can't freeze enemies like in the first game, so it's just a not very useful weapon with poor reach and damage output, thus forcing you to rely more on breakable pickups. The number of combos and combat acrobatics again has been reduced. In exchange there's a stealth kill system that lets you bypass the combat entirely. Sneaking up on an enemy lets you activate a QTE sequence which insta-kills the enemy if you don't mess up the input. This "speed kill" system is even used in each boss fight and the QTE's do add a good bit of frustration, as the inputs eventually get pretty strict. The Dark Prince on the other hand has a chain whip as his permanent secondary weapon and it's just stupidly powerful and every battle boils down to "spin to win". However, the Dark Prince constantly loses health at an alarming rate (it takes him around 60 seconds to die from full health) while any consumed sand heals him to full health, so you're forced to always be on the move, during both the platforming and combat sections. He has a few extra moves when platforming, utilizing his chain whip but it isn't much. His sections feel more like the Dahaka chases from Warrior Within, as in you need to move quickly in order to not die, can't really afford any sightseeing. Graphics and setting wise the game takes you all around the city, featuring a good variety of locations. It's not as colorful as The Sands of Time but still nowhere as gloomy as Warrior Within. It's a bit on the brown side though, in an attempt to be more realistic. The camera is finally decent, you get a free camera around 70-80% of the time and it almost feels like a modern game, which makes the gameplay a lot less aggravating than the previous entries. The PC port aged well enough. The texture resolution is twice larger than the console versions, so it's still the definitive version. There's a small number of technical issues you might run into on a modern machine and I've compiled an easy to follow guide on how to deal with them. With a fan patch applied the game supports proper HOR+ 16:9 (without any glitches or stretched HUD) and can run even at 4K. Modern Xbox/Playstation controllers work out of the box but you need to set the mappings yourself, which is no big deal.
