  Already owned on standalone Quest and now on PC! Can't wait to have time to actually dive in more. One single developer made what no one else has attempted and I appreciate him for it! He is very helpful and open about what hes doing on his discord too! Highly recommend if you are a fan of crime scene investigation and old point and click puzzle solving! brand new take on a classic idea.

  This game is incredible! Very Immersive and such a great story that will keep you on the edge of your seat! 2 Episodes included and its such a great price for the value! The developer is always updating and active, looking forward to everything this dev puts out. Top Notch Work!

  Experienced on the Meta Quest 2

We finally have a good VR crime scene investigation mystery game on Steam. While this game is far from perfect, it is head and shoulders above prior VR efforts. You are a detective and you've been assigned to solve a possible murder mystery. You go out to investigate, but you have to follow proper police procedure. That includes knocking on doors and showing identification and investigating the scene using your forensic tools. You have a camera, evidence collection, blood analysis, fingerprinting, flashlight, & service pistol. Several of the interactions are of the point & click variety where you have to click on the object to get some voice narration which may lead to a clue. The pistol mechanic is surprisingly good for this type of game. There's a nice shooting range. The VR interactions for the use of the tools like the camera and blood swabs or fingerprinting are also well done. Something as simple as opening doors is also better than most VR games or using keys or inputting codes, all pretty well done here. The puzzles are challenging enough, but they do have logical solutions. I am stumped though at a certain spot in the first investigation and I'm not sure what to do next. What I have seen of the story is pretty well written. The voice acting is pretty good for a budget title. The visuals, while not the best, are again, nice for a budget title. Definitely better than most VR games in this price range. There are some cinematic cut scenes, but they are done in a 2D screen, but in an immersive 3D environment. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting steady 90 fps. You have smooth locomotion and smooth or snap turning available. You can play seated or standing, although I did have an easier time playing standing. You can save at any time. I did not experience any issues or bugs. I do wish there was a hint system for when you get stumped though. My biggest gripe would be the inventory system is a bit clunky to use. I don't like how you can't put your evidence collection kit in your inventory so you have to carry it around until you can put it down somewhere. Rate 7.5/10. Very early impressions, so take my score with a grain of salt, but I do believe this is the best crime scene investigation type puzzle adventure game in VR. I already got my $10 USD money's worth.   Another ugly, poorly made VR game to throw in the heap. I like the concept, but the execution is not there. Spent most of my time searching for a key that just disappeared, then some of it pressing buttons on a Chinese puzzle box, and the rest trying to open my evidence case without it flying off into space. Poorly voice acted, with textures from the PS2.

  HP Reverb G2, Radeon 5700XT, Ryzen 5 3600XT This game is very atmospheric, runs well, and it really makes you feel like a detective in a gritty film noir movie. My one gripe is the inventory system; I wish it had what's starting to be the standard of grabbing your backpack from over the shoulder but instead you click on an icon on your left wrist which I don't find intuitive. Besides that, the developer deserves great praise from creating such a unique game.

  David Slade Mystery Case Files is really good I highly recommend this to anybody looking for an experience similar to LA Noire. Episode 1 has the detective going to room 202 based on a complaint from a neighbor and that's the one thing I would have liked to seen in this game was the ability to go around and knock on doors and actually question the neighbors but even without that the game still holds its own. All in all David Slade is a great game and has me excited to play its sequel Riverside Slasher 7/10

  Just finished the first case file. Really enjoying this game! You can see a lot of love has gone into the development of this game. Looking forward to starting the next case file! If you're looking for a challenging, in-depth, detective/crime scene investigation, VR game that won't hold your hand, this is the game for you!

  Update: Just finished the first chapter. The atmosphere is amazing. Only negative I found is, that you can't choose between hmd and controller oriented movement. Everything else is really good. Original: I haven't gotten really far yet but I can already tell this is a really great game. But be aware, this is hard. There is no handholding, you need to think like a real detective and figure out everything by yourself. But the good thing is, that the puzzles, while being tough, always make sense so far. Haven't played anything like it yet, this is truly unique!
