Expensive, such price for only 1 mission and 3 buildings? Buggy, I played 10 min in new mission, some strange roads automatically appeared everywhere then I gave up before the new patch. I bought it and I will not refund, but i will vote it down.

Very very shallow as far as DLC's go (more so than the usual shallowness of Tropico DLC) so the fact this costs 10 dollars, adds one mission and three buildings all three of which are basically worthless and add no meaningful change other than adding some new admittedly funny bugs (my favourite so far was ships at my dock would drive through the dock, park on land then spin around and zoom back out to sea) this DLC is not worth your time and certainly not worth your money TLDR ; Wait for a 60%+ sale or part of a bundle, not a good DLC but not the worst ever.

meh. it has potencial, but the execution is lame. The good: prices fluctating is fun! you can no longer trust your economy in only one resource. The bad: The system is almost random. There is a new building that can "control" the prices, but is also random. You cant choose the resources to control. So, things happen and you can't do anything about it. Maybe you can but the game doesn't explain nothing to you. The ugly: the new mission is boring, the other 2 new buildings are really lame and inconsecuential, and all the rest is meh. I really wish they could reimplement the idea so its more fun, this is only justifiable if you preordered the game, but, at a 10 dollar cost this is so lame and boring. i hope the rest of the DLC isn't as sad as this one.

A little buggy still, but easily fixed. I enjoyed it. It definitely focuses a lot on trade and some market manipulation Although the latter requires a lot of knowledge so don't expect to do it all the time, otherwise you'll research nothing, or have to build a ton of libraries. I also liked being able to store tons of resources in the warehouse and being able to import something and sell it later at a huge profit. The price tag is a little steep, but hey, it's Tropico so who cares!

With over 150 hours of playtime on this game, and at least 20 on the DLC, I cannot recommend this. The new update is *buggy* af. I've added bugs to the bug thread, but it feels no one is listening. Here's a few ones that are particularly annoying: - Main quest is bugged. It gets to a quest called "USA trade routes" and then never gives you one of the routes. I've tried everything I can think of (the new trade institute, using broker to generate new deals, etc) but never get it. Not after 50 years. - Guerillas are bugged. Having them be allowed to constantly appear out of nowhere, set something on fire, and then disappear before you can do anything is *not* fun. I've used traits, policies, religious minister, drone strikes, guerilla patrol, arresting, accidentally killing them, putting them in aslyums, provoke uprising, etc. I have newspapers, tvs, radio, and libraries all radiating liberty, and have +liberty policies. Rebels bypass watchtowers. Super annoying. - Warehouse is bugged. I set 5 of them to keep steel, gold, coal, aluminum, and iron. But they keep being exported. I used the "auto export" new feature and turn it off for those... and still it keeps exporting. Again, not fun. - Trade institute is bugged -- there's a way (I stumbled on) to be able to provoke several bull/bear trends at the same time. So not WAI. I would love to play this game more, but having watched for 50 years and not be able to progress the main quest, I am giving up for now. Hopefully they patch this soon. In the meantime, I'm un-voting for Tropico 6 in the game of the year awards. Can't support a game that can't do QA better than this.

Tropico 6: The Llama of Wall Street DLC (the DLC) was developed by Limbic Entertainment and released by Kalypso Media on 6 December 2019. The DLC is the first post-release downloadable content released for Tropico 6, coinciding with the 'Seguridad Social' Update 7.0. I will review some of Update 7.0 in this piece. The DLC largely follows the mechanics and game play seen in Tropico 6. It introduces three new buildings, a new campaign mission, and price fluctuations for goods and prices.
Feature: Price Fluctuations
My highlight of the DLC is the price fluctuations for the prices of goods. Price fluctuations occur in three different mantras: price trends with goods either increasing or decreasing; enacting 'Bull' or 'Bear' at the Trade Institute building to provoke trends to prices, or with goods normally trending in accordance with the market supply and demand. I love this feature, as it adds some greatly needed variety when pursuing industries because goods may not always be very lucrative, like cars and boats. My only constructive feedback is for the developers to consider increasing the fluctuations that happen to goods without any intervention in the market. For example, bananas over twelve months may change by $50-100. I am not sure of whether you change difficulty, but increasing the potential for pricing changes to occur would add some greater challenge to it.
Feature: Campaign Missions
The DLC features an excellent mission that spans from World Wars era to the Modern Times era. It also includes the buildings, price fluctuations, the new edict (Made in Tropico), and other features from Update 7.0 and the DLC. I completed the mission in over nine hours, which was longer than any of the base game missions. I found the mission to become progressively more challenging after the Cold War era, as missions became more complex and required you to expand your industries. The story throughout the mission was also logical and consistent for a Tropico game, which I would say is one of the better missions. Moreover, interestingly, the mission also has replayability because in one era, you can choose between two pathways, which appeared to have alternating pathways.
Feature: Buildings
The DLC and Update 7.0 features four new buildings. The DLC adds the 'Trade Institute', a building to monitor the market, 'Smart Furniture Studio', which combines furniture and electronics to produce smart furniture; think Internet of Things, and the 'Toy Workshop'. The DLC buildings add some variety to the game. The Toy Workshop expands on the largely basic Ancient Era, the Trade Institute complements a major and excellent feature of price fluctuations, and the Smart Furniture Building increases the number industries you can produce in the Modern Times. I appreciate these buildings because it just improves and adds to an existing very good game.   Update 7.0 adds the 'Warehouse' building. I found it cumbersome to use, the game does not really explain how it interacts with your existing industries or logistics well, and I genuinely did not find it useful. Whilst a free addition, it appears in the DLC's mission as a main quest, and I found that quest to be the worst in that mission.
DLC Price
I also acknowledge community feedback that notes the DLC is expensive compared to Tropico 5. I will say it is an expensive DLC. It is AUD$14.50, compared to Tropico 5 'Waterborne', which added six missions, nine buildings, and other features. Further, Tropico 5 also had cheaper DLC at AUD$5.95, which mainly added one mission and one building. I think this DLC would be better suited to the price points of Tropico 5's DLC, perhaps $9.99, because while it is a great DLC, the value for money proposition is less compared to Tropico 5.
Overall
Specifically looking at the DLC, I have greatly enjoyed the new features. The mission was lengthy, extremely fun, logical, and challenging. The buildings add flavour to the game to diversify each era. And, I absolutely love the price fluctuations feature because it really adds to the game and influences how you plan your economy. I recommend the DLC.
Rating
9/10 - If I had to rate it, but as it is a small amount of content per say, it is difficult to rate.
Pros
• Mission is an excellent addition to the game • The Price Fluctuations feature really adds to the dynamic • Three new buildings that expand on the variety of the game.
Cons
• Price is expensive compared to the price of Tropico 5 DLC • The 'Warehouse' building in Update 7.0 is frustrating. The 3 DLC buildings are not usable in the main game, ONLY in DLC mission and sandbox. Unlike the previous Tropico games, you can use the DLC buildings in the main missions.

It's a cool dlc, people rewiew talking of the "price being too high to the content", but I PERSONALLY think it totally worth it: - Adds a real simulation on the International Market, price balance, export/import balance, economical events, and other... This expands the economic part of the game on many ways. - Adds the Llama of Wall Street mission, that brings El Presidente to a big and fun challenge upon the International Trade. - Adds the Toy Factory, that is the most versatile (many material alternatives) industry building for starter economies. And the Smart Factory, that produces very expensive products from two other (eletronics and furniture) that each doesn't fetch a higher price on later eras... - Adds the Trade Institute, a great weapon to increase price of your exports or decrease price from imports, as well as generating knowledge (on second mode) and preventing the economic balance, making the game even more reallistic. I give 10/10 to this DLC, worth the price, worth the gameplay!
