  It's such a shame that people have review bombed this just because it's difficult. It's a beautifully designed map and the challenge is fun. I felt like I was truly paving new ways and building important basic infrastructure. Hope this doesn't put the devs off of trying to make big challenging maps in the future <3

  Yes these maps are difficult, time consuming, and the most challenging to date. But for those of us who have completed everything else and pretty much mastered our driving, it is a real logistics challenge that can't be rushed. I recommend only for the most dedicated truckers as there will be a lot of frustrations, but it is possible and very rewarding once completed. Make sure to only come here once you get chain tyres unlocked at higher level and a vast array of trucks at your disposal.

  When I exited the garage on the first map for this and drove around a little I said, "Uh-huh. Gratuitous rocks to get stuck on. Frozen lakes to drive over. Yadda yadda Kola Peninsula. I did that already." Then I found there were bridges to fix, "So I said, blah blah blah." I liked the Kola Peninsula for the challenge, so I plugged away a little more. I only started to appreciate the play value of this when I saw that there are lots of problems to solve, a lot of it sort of like a spatial puzzle. About 20 minutes into the first map you realize that fixing those bridges is going to require a lot of figuring out a way to get the materials. You have to find alternate routes or your main routes won't be available to you later. I enjoy a good puzzle so I think this is worth the effort. For me, the "pointless" aspect, as was with the Kola Peninsula, are the gratuitous rocks. The rocks get old really fast. It's also worthwhile to pick up the upgrades and get the other treasure that comes with the DLC. However, the main attraction for me is the difficulty with completing tasks.

  Michigan, Alaska, Taymir, Lake Kovd, Canada and Winsconsin were well balanced, and fun to play maps. But this one is not. I think that the devs exaggerated with the difficulty. All the trucks you liked, have to stay in garage from now on. You have to use insanely overpowered machines, otherwise you will not make any progress. It's just too hard, and poorly balanced.

  Clearly these levels were made by a level designer going through a messy divorce. I can picture him now repeating the mantra "I'll hurt them the way she hurt me". It's quite difficult and recommended only to veteran Snowrunner players - it can get quite frustrating at times and helps if you've got a good stable of trucks with top upgrades for some trial-and-error. I would downvote it on difficulty alone but that would be silly - there's nothing inherently wrong with it visually/mechanically - it's just very, very difficult. Be prepared to have a bag of glass on hand to munch on as you snail-crawl through feet of soft snow.

  I find it funny that the negative reviews complain about the difficulty, but in the trailer the announcer calls this a "herculean undertaking." To some, I guess that means you're supposed to be handed a victory, and those are the people giving the thumbs down.

  "Fun and challenging" my ass. Endless frustration and can barely accomplish anything with the best trucks even. Chained tires are only good for icy roads but nothing else, they are literally the worst tires to have in snow along with highway tires -which is funny since chained tires are used to traverse deep snow in real life- And get prepared to meet deep snow with mud and cracking ice covered with snow, your chained tires wont save you there, but surprise, because after hundreds of meters of deep snow and mud you gonna meet an icy slope a very funny map designer put there, and if you are using any kind of tires except chained, prepared to be trolled very hard. And I F you got chained tires because of that- well, you gonna get stuck in about 10 seconds once the paved icy road ends. Very "fun" when you get stuck in 15 cm deep snow with the best mudtires in the game. And I honestly feel sorry for all of you who thinks this region is any good.
