OMSI 2 - Add-on Irisbus Familie – Citybus Pack Features

With the OMSI AddOn Irisbus Family Citybus Pack we continue the series of city buses.

A total of 6 different models are waiting in this collection for use in OMSI.

The low-floor bus Irisbus Citelis was produced from 2005 - 2013, before it was replaced by the IVECO Urbanway. It is available in three different lengths: 10, 12 and 18 metres.

The Crealis model is available in two different lengths: a 12 metre and an 18 metre version.

The Crealis neo, which stands out with a futuristic front, is available as a 12 metre version and the standard version of the Crealis is included in the pack with an 18 metre version.

Both Crealis variants are excellently suited for Bus Rapid Transit traffic, i.e. fast bus connections. They stand out visually due to their special wheel covers.

The package is rounded off with the Irisbus GX127, which was only marketed under this name outside France. It appears as a 9 metre version in this AddOn.

In total, there are 3 different engines to choose from. Together with the different lengths and partly different seat Konfiguration, there are many possibilities to find your own favourite bus for OMSI.

  • Different lengths: 9, 10, 12 and 18 metres

there will be the saddest thing if they will won't add setvars for example: change door type or seat type (like in gx27 family) and I don't see the euro 4 cng version So for now bad mark ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So... There are many OMSI addons. Some are really good. Some are mediocre. And some are the Irisbus Familie – Citybus Pack. Firstly, to get this out of the way, the name is confusing. Why is it called the Citybus pack when it contains mostly buses from the Citelis lineup and precisely none from the Citybus lineup? Secondly, the textures. Most of them are all right, despite most not being photo textures but made in photoshop or paint.net or something. Others tho, they lack a certain realism, like they are way too smooth. Now, non-photo textures can look good, but this is not it. Thirdly, why the lack of customization? I like to make repaints based on my city. Of course they are never perfect since there's always something in the model that can't be changed unless you directly modify the 3d model, however this is just ridiculous. What if I want an Euro4 Citelis 12M with 3 doors? What if I want a VDV where the is an Actia? Huh? Remodel the whole thing? Fourthly, the performance. I don't know how you achieved this, but when driving with a bus from this pack, my game often struggles to get above 10 FPS where i usually have 40. It's even worse in more performance-heavy maps. Fifthly, the handling. Oh boy. It handles like the worst bus in our depot IRL. And also what's with the brakes? Why does the bus shake so much if I'm pressing the brake even slightly while standing still? Is it cause of the FPS drops caused by the bus itself? WHO KNOWS. ETA cuz I forgot: Sixthly, the model itself. It's just weird. It's stretched in all sorts of weird ways, especially the driver's cabin. Nothing more to say here other than it's weird. To sum up, you'd be much better off spending the 17,95€ that this costs simping to Vtubers, and if you know me then you know how much I hate Vtubers.

I am someone that does not know a lot about buses and just go by the feeling when driving and the overall experience. That being said I think this bus is pretty simple and driving it is ajoy. However, I cannot recommend it for a 1 simple reason: The businfo (IBIS?) just doesn't completely work. You can enter your route and it looks like it tries to do what it is supposed to do. However, I cannot see any (dynamic) texts. The buttons are all visible, but I cannot see any destination, times or pincodes that I input. I have had this for a while now and hoped it would get fixed with an update, but for now it does not work. You can drive with it, but for the price you pay I think this shoul djust work.

I tried out this DLC, and sadly already refunded it after an hour of struggling. The handbook is very clear and the busses looks good but whenever i try to put in the IBIS the routes won't show up. The buttons of it are invisible to i can't see what the next stop is or if im late or not. I really expected better from this DLC..

Really? The bus looks nice etc. but its not optimised, no setvars and small amount of repaints. I really hoped I could make repaint of my local bus company with all the things like dashboard and the door configuration being accurate but I cant becasue of no setvars. Only good thing is the destination computer, even if its just taken from St. Servan.

Mostly negative overview is caused by that the initial release was buggy and unusuable. But it has changed! The sound, model and physics quality is outstanding compared to other DLCs. I'm quite confident about telling it's one of the best quality DLCs you can get here. It's something you can't encounter in most of other works, so don't let it be lost in negative release! Some variations are missing, but still - quality excuses it. Really good purchase of mine.

THIS IS A "NEUTRAL" RATING. The first thing to say is that this pack is nowhere near as bad as the reviews may appear. The buses are perfectly usable. If you're not counting rivets and just want a fun collection of slightly oddball (eg. the Crealis's shape!) Irisbuses, it's actually a pretty good pack. The sounds are a highlight - from the moment you turn on the electrics, to the pleasing pseumatic sounds from the transmission. The sounds are slightly above average for most OMSI bus addons. The modelling and texturing are nothing amazing - probably slightly below average. But if you're mostly in the cockpit driving - rather than measuring angle degrees in the passenger compartment - it's absolutely fine. There are two reasons for the appalling reviews that this bus has. Both are due to absolute laziness by the developer. For me, neither are showstoppers, but as you can see in the other reviews, for lots of people they are showstoppers! 1). Each bus in the pack comes with ONE repaint. You read that right - only one, random French livery. 2). The buses come with no Setvars or customizations I'm not that bothered about Setvars. They're nice for some things but I wouldn't not buy a bus purely because it doesn't come with setvars to change the seats, etc. For me, OMSI is all about the driving, not screenshots or customizing the perfect bus for my wishes. The one livery..... well that is shocking laziness and just unacceptable. If the Dev had spent ONE day making 3 other repaints, the feedback and reviews would have been far kinder. Utter laziness has cost this dev a lot of money in lost sales, due to the negative reviews. But..... it's a good set of buses otherwise and I don't regret buying it. The Crealis is an unusual bus and even the little bonus GX137 that comes with it, is quite good fun.
