Logic World Features

Logic World is a circuit simulator like no other. Immerse yourself in a bright and colorful world as you build circuits in 3D from a first-person perspective. Learn about the magic and wonder of digital logic, and grow your skills as you build machines of increasing complexity and grandeur.

Key Features

  • Digital Logic - Logic World is a simulation of digital circuits, running on the same principles as real world computer chips.

  • Performance - Build massive circuits and simulate them at thousands of updates per second, all without lag.

  • Building - Advanced building mechanics help you quickly move a design from your brain into the game world.

  • Multiplayer - Logic World is built from the ground up for collaborative multiplayer. The game comes with standalone self-hostable server software so you can build, invent, and learn with your friends.

A growing platform

The core of Logic World is there, and it's quite awesome, but we are brimming with ideas to make it even better. Throughout Early Access, and beyond the 1.0 release, we'll be constantly updating the game with new features and expanded gameplay.

I've been waiting for this game since the age of TUNG, absolutely love it!

The dev calls Logic World his dream game. I'd expand on that and say it's a dream game for anyone who's spent days learning how logic circuits and computers work by messing around with minecraft's redstone, or any other similar wiring systems in various sandbox games. Logic World is the distillation of such mechanics: unlike redstone and its ilk, the circuits here are the meat and potatoes, rather than an extraneous system tacked on to a generic sandbox game. I highly recommend Logic World for anyone interested in messing around with boolean logic for fun without needing to use professional-grade software or dealing with the aforementioned generic sandboxes.
Perspective from the Circuit
There is no '0'-input, all components share the same ground. Also the floating input is considered as low. All devices have propagation delay, except the Buffer (this is a confusing device, since all of the sources seem to have zero output impedance, so there is no need to use a Buffer. Maybe we can use it as a diode.) No OR-gate is needed, because you can connect multiple sources (switches) directly. Delayer Component seems not to work if the signal elapsed time is shorter than the delay time. But you can also think of the Delayer as a component that has a Setup time (you can set manually) and a Hold time (dependent on the input). Yes, we are talking about the D flip-flop, but with a configurable propagation delay and its Enable port tied to High.
Music composition mechanics
Yes, this deserves a standalone section, because there are near 200 instruments available! This game is a circuit-sim, but also a Digital audio workstation! I guess half of the game file size are those sound samples :)
Some weird
Server crashes when I selected & deleted multiple components (without selecting the wires attached to them). The log revealed nothing between I joined game and server shutdown. There is one tick delay in the output of the Relay device, but this delay will NOT accumulate in cascading Relays.
Requests (for dev)
[olist] [*] Connect multiple points if they are in the same line, so we don't need to connect them one by one. [*] Clone also wires between selected parts [*] Compress the BGM pls, the wav is too *bloat* [*] Add support for Verilog ([strike] I'm joking [/strike]) [/olist]
GNU/Linux Support: NATIVE
Engine: Unity, game version: 0.90

OS Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia 64-bit

Kernel 5.4.0-65-generic x86_64

Desktop/WM XMonad 0.13

CPU AMD A10-7300 Radeon R6

GPU AMD Radeon R5 M255

Vulkan API Version 1.1.70

GPU Driver 4.5 Mesa 20.0.8

Check more Linux game reviews in Games, Linux, Steam, reviews.

Note for Evgueni [Linux user]: This game may be classified as: Coding/Circuit design/Logic. Looks like a good start. The first thing I would mention, is that this game is about building logic circuits, using logic gates. If you don't know what an AND gate is, you probably need to do a bit of reading /videos before playing. My "hello world" (first project) suggestion for new players, is to build a half adder circuit. A half adder is one of the first multi-gate circuits you learn when learning digital electronics. If you understand how computers add, you understand quite a lot more than many people about how computers work. There's a discord server, I suggest it. You can watch people interact with the game if they are sharing, it's helpful. Something things I learned in my first day of playing.... * There's no OR gate, just connect wires together. * Use T to lay circuit boards flat * Use circuit boards, as opposed to just laying stuff on the ground, makes it easier to move stuff, and copy stuff * When you left click place some stuff, use rotate while holding down left click ( E or Q) * When you build circuit boards, build the whole thing at the same time. You can make it larger using V. V is tricky, put cursor on board, hit v, then drag one of the boxes in a direction to make that direction bigger or smaller. Don't build circuit boards with individual cells, they won't auto add to the board. * Flip flops are tricky. Spend many hours on it. * The game dev, Jimmy, has videos on youtube showing various features. * In some cases, you might need buffers which act like diodes, in other words, they restrict the flow to one direction * The game may not always work like real circuitry, for example, as I said above, flip flops are tricky * You can build a periodic timer with a delay, and a feedback loop ( may need an inverter.) * Hopefully over time things will be more newbie friendly. * I struggled a lot with the UI, the discord room was a big help.

I don't know much about circuits, but I know enough to know that this is awesome.

The game, or sandbox I didn't know I needed. Having worked with digital logic for a long time this game has filled a gap in creativity that I didn't know I even had. I spent 30 minutes trying to remember how to make a basic memory module only to realize that all I needed was 4 components. Now 5 hours in I've built a simple (yet entirely modular & expandable with 2 shortcut keys) binary counter and have already begun drafting plans for so so so many projects! To the dev: Thank you for this beauty. Keep up the great work!

Decent game, though quite buggy for now. I'm certainly looking forward to it getting better during early access! Performance with large builds is very good with high tickrates achievable (the thousands mentioned in about might be an understatement, more like up to a million lol). There are other reviewers confused by the weird logic gates in this game, it is more like Minecraft's redstone, It's not based on real components exactly but it's quite unique and I like it, it's much more physical than simple logic simulators, all of them have their own shape you have to take into consideration and different boards can be connected with sockets. Linux support: native, no issues DRM: none of that bullshit!

This game is incredible. If you've ever wanted to build a redstone computer in Minecraft but didn't because it would be too slow or too limited, this is the game for you. There's currently no tutorial or objectives so the game doesn't hold your hand at all in terms of teaching you how to use the logic gates. I would recommend either Ben Eater's "Build your own 8-bit computer" series or the nand2tetris.org project if you want a course to follow along with and learn from. The developers are very active in the community and very active in development. The game has been in early access for about 4 weeks and there have been 3 updates with new features, optimizations, and bug fixes. Join the discord if you want to see all the cool stuff that has been made in the game!
