This game was my path to enlightenment. Everything about this game is flawless: gameplay, story, map design, graphics etc. My favourite part is when the innkeeper said: "We all have it", it made my gluteus maximus laugh so much!!! I played this game for less than an hour, but I can't wait to play it some more. I plan to dedicate my life to this masterpiece that was probably created by God himself. The only downside of this game is its lack of sexual content, but I am sure that modders will fix it asap. Best euro I've ever spent!!!! PS. the bard from the inn is a handsome tall man, @ me when you release rule 34 for him ;)

This game is great; story, atmosphere, it all goes hand-in-hand. I did feel like the endings were a little rushed, and I honestly don't think I'd have been able to finish it without the occasional use of guides (As is usually the case with these types of games), but a very enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was looking for. Only few ones can truly appreciate these kind of games. Pros: lowpoly graphics + no voices and a minimal approach to audio + ambiance medieval music + surprisingly simple but decent combat system + some creepy stuff, including the setting, some characters and part of the story + claustrophobic mines. Bads: The only bad thing I found is that I could not get it to run in fullscreen, which is not good cuz you gotta immerse yourself into those lowfi polygons. What I did was making firefox show a black background, get firefox to fullscreen mode, then alt-tab back to the game, and there you have the fullscreen effect. Also, some solutions were somewhat extreme to my standards (since I'm not a big fan of point and clicks it would've taken me ages to finish it all), so I'd suggest to get a guide online.

At the end, it all comes down to a pint of beer. I recommend this hidden gem to everyone who likes og dungeon crawlers. The only downside I can think of is the fact you have to play the game in a small window since there is no way to fullscreen it.

a hidden gem that combines adventure games and dungeon crawlers, two of my favorite genres. I love the gloomy, harsh atmosphere of the medieval czech town and outskirts you explore, and I like the protagonist with his simple task that turns into something much darker and dangerous, totally out of his league. Legie has some difficult puzzles and english translation issues but I think it just adds to the experience. It takes about 5ish hours and is highly worth it for the price. the game goes great with beer.

From the developer of Hrot, Legie is the purest essence of Eurojank. It's fairly ugly -- copying a Playstation era style years before it became popular -- and obtuse. An adventure game with some RPG lite mechanics, closer to a first person version of Quest for Glory, actual progression in Legie requires a series of obscure actions the game doesn't telegraph and the poorly written script doesn't help either. There are moments of combat that are impossible to control where all you can do is raise your shield and pray your enemy doesn't break out of their stun lock to instantly smack you. But everything about the game is so sincere and fascinating from the fantasy Czech setting to the overall grimy vibe of the story. This is why I love indie games, I love experiencing the world through individual's eyes. It's difficult to call Legie a good game but it provides an experience unlike anything else.

So far it reminds me an unpolished Gothic or Shadows Over Riva, with the same sort of gloomy, brown low-poly and depressive atmosphere and non-intuitive but learnable interface. You start in an inn, a servant of a very grouchy keeper who has you perform some rather disgusting tasks within seconds. There are no voiceovers and the English dialogue is dark, brooding and unintentionally hilarious; this game REALLY needs a translation by a native English speaker (or at least a copyedit). It took me a bit to figure out there's no keyboard movement, only clicking with the mouse in the center of the next "square", moving you stepwise like the early 3D RPGs (you do have full mouselook, though). Your inventory bar is summoned with the right mouse button, and you use one object on another in the same way as many point-and-click adventure games. It's very primitive, but I find myself wanting to continue after exiting the tavern and wandering around the miniscule "town" (really just a couple of alleys). I suspect the game itself will be quite short. Still, I think the $1.99 entry fee is fair if you're a genre fan.
