  Was hoping to use this just for posing references for drawing practice. I got it while it had a big discount on it. But with the few minutes I was using it, I could tell that this wasn't for me. There was a lack of custom body styles (which was what I wanted to practice) and also the tool to pose stuff felt a bit weird. Maybe if I used it more, I would understand how to pose stuff, but I never did.

  READ IF YOU WANT A NO BS REVIEW!!! Runs really REALLY painfully slow. For some reason the game barely uses any CPU/GPU/MEMORY when running... I wish it would use more so it would y'know... run well. That, and after downloading the game you still have to download each "section" of characters to make custom characters. I really don't get why these weird "downloading" phases aren't just handled prior to installation. It makes the end user experience so frustrating. I haven't even been able to begin working on anything within this editor due to these issues. I will try to get it functioning by 2 hours and if it isn't then I'm refunding. Till then, don't recommend this if you're trying to have an easy to use non-frustrating no compromise made to manga maker comipo. EDIT AFTER AB 20 MINUTES OF USE: Alright one more complaint, every section of backgrounds, effects, pets, poses, literally every section sits on this long loading screen that 40% of the time crashes the client. I have reinstalled, try installing on a hard disk drive or an NVME solid state drive. Solid state made it slightly more usable but did not improve the minutes of waiting time / crashes present in this product. I love the idea behind these and love to support them with my words and finances, but this is a NO GO. Highly recommend you do NOT purchase this. Refunded.

  Bought it to use as a training and refference tool to make my own manga/weeb comic, and it doesn't even load , and it seems to be issue with... connection ? why in the world a editor even needs a godamn connection in the first place !? this is no online game , this is ridiculous , i demand public execution for this tomfoolery !!

  Requires you to be online! There is no need to force me to be online to use an art program. Once I've downloaded the necessary files, I need to be able to use it when I'm camping, on the moon, etc!

  Easy to use interface (I prefer it over ComiPo) but suffers from the same really limited character design options. As of release (2/27/2019), there are: - 20 hairstyles for female - 6 for male (including bald) Some assets from anime include Sanji from One Piece's head and Kirito's GGO hair from Sword Art Online. Overall a pretty good piece of software, but needs a lot more assets for a program meant to do anything about the "barrier of learning how to draw". (You should only expect so much for $5)

  I would like to state that my use case for this programs may be a little untypical for what this program is. So, how is this product? It's alright. It has some basic functionality that if you intend to make a simple manga or story, this can do that. The interface is fairly easy to use and the templates they provide are varied enough. If you don't see a pose or a facial expression that isn't in the templates, you can make your own and while simple, they are able to give a good amount of custom expressions and you're hearts desires amount of poses. As a program to make a simple manga, you're able to do quite a bit with how the panels are layed out and shaped. They give a good amount of various items, scenes and backgrounds and if you find that you need to add something in, you are able to import pictures that you might want to add. With all that said, it doesn't get too far from being able to make something "simple". The amount of customizations is are limited in the parts that I personally find that matters. The character maker is too limited. You can choose their hair, eye color and clothing but not too a large amount (especially for the male characters). The hair styles are generic basic ones and the clothing options is too little and you can't really edit the clothing, their face shapes are also not something you can really change much and I mentioned earlier that you can make a good amount of expressions but not really shape the eyes. This ends up with characters looking too similar with each other or not having enough differences. If you could edit some of these parts a little more, like being able to choose a hair style and edit parts of it to make it looks longer, shorter, larger, thinner, messy, neat and for the clothes, even just being able to change the color would really enhance it even with the limited options. The amount of 3D items is also limited. You can add any 2D picture but since the 3D is so limited in the amount you add, it would be nice to be able to add 3D models of desk or chairs or lamps or something but as far as I can tell, it doesn't have that option. Which I would personally this program stand up as a standalone program so having a bunch more 3D models would be nice as well. Talking about 3D though, something that may not be important but it would be nice to have are lighting controls. The scene ends up looking a little flat due to the basic lighting. If you could add a way for you to choose the light source or sources, that would really liven up the scenes. There are a lot more minor issues I have, (some loading glitches, the custom posing could be a little bit more intuitive) but if you just need something to make simple visuals to your story or wish to use this programs as a base and do edits in another programs, this is good and even great for that. If you are someone like me, who wanted to able to customize the scene and more importantly a character to your liking and want to use this program as a standalone program for those, it CAN be but not with more complex ideas and visuals. Once again, not a bad program and for the price, it's pretty good for what it is and what it wants to achieve.

  Application won’t launch – just read the Steam discussion pages and you will see that this is a common problem. Also program tries to reach the Google Cloud. Why? Who knows, but seems shady as f***. (There is also no network requirement mentioned on the spec requirements.) Hopefully developer addresses these issues but right now this is a hard pass. Edit: So it is made with Unity. Needs access to Google Cloud. Requires turning of your anti-virus and maybe running it as a admin. What other Unity program has those requirements in order to launch? This is potential malware / spyware territory. Developer claims that access to the Google Cloud is needed to stream the resources because otherwise the download would be too big. In the age of +50gb downloads that is ridiculous claim when character models + textures by the looks of them should just take at most tens of megabytes. So the developer's "Too big to download" is maybe 2gb, max 5gb and that is enough to sacrifice the functionality of the program (like actually launching it)?

  My first comic using KumaKuma at my facebook page (Indonesian) : facebook.com/rinjucomic/photos/a.147906509117012/409232436317750/?type=3&theater Several thing that need to be added and fixed: - Custom eyestyle at custom role (idk what called eye that make different each other) - Costume variant (recolor) - Re-edit custom role - Hair add-ons - Hair and hair accessory at different place - Custom skin color - Can using own font - Aligh left and right text - More 3D item (like chair and table) and can attach to the role. - Ability to import 3D item (outside workshop) - Missclick (omg its realy annoying) btw i love depth of focus mechanic. It make my comic so realistic even in flat 3D. Sorry bad grammar. Thx

  I can't draw. So after sinking a casual 5,000 hours into ComiPO! Manga Maker and then seeing KumaKuma at like 6 dollars, I bought it even before I realized what I was going. and going from one maker to another and seeing the differences was pretty wild. I'm gonna just cover the things I found to be really cool of like, noteworthy or whatever. [b]Design[/b] - The UI is pretty similar to ComiPO! Though this one is a bit... bigger? Things are easier to read, but there are less options in terms of editing the page/panel and model (in terms of a quick-bar, like ComIPO! has) you can change the models angle, as well as flip the model, and being able to hold these buttons instead of clicking them, is a small but very welcome feature. ComiPO also has a dragging feature for angling a character which is lovely, and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an equivalent in this software (soft sobbing, but hey I'll get over it lol) [b]Custom Poses[/b] - There's custom Poses?! What is this witchcraft and thank you for it's existence? ComiPO! has a rigid like 200 poses at most I think? and even then, it depends on the model you're using (for whatever reason?) so being able to have not only preset poses but the ability to change them slightly, or create your own, is a god-sent! [b]Character Customization/Creation[/b] - I was pretty confused here at first, as you have to download parts within the software itself to create the a new "role" or model. They took a while to load, and there wasn't too much content to customize (which is fair, early days and all) but it was still pretty cool to mess around with and I'm happy that this software isn't trying to rob us by adding like 1000 different DLCs at 20-30 dollars each, and instead has a bunch of preset things to work with. (Though I guess that could change, but please don't do this, it physically hurts) It would be amazing if we could tweak the original model, changing things like height, chest and hip size (necessary evil there) and muscle/fat distribution. [b]Custom Content (CC)[/b] - or rather, the lack thereof. You can't import custom 3D models into this software, which is a bit disappointing, coming from ComiPO, where the majority of it's user-base uses CC (and really it's one of ComiPO's only redeeming features, we're desperate over there.) I can personally say how much CC adds to a software. Though, with this software's custom posing, it might be difficult to add CC, what with having to rig models etc etc (If you've ever used MMD well... enough said?) But I'm still desperately praying for CC, it's what gives us that ability to make the software our own in a way? or something like that lol [b]TL;DR[/b]: I think If KumaKuma gets worked on even at a moderately slow pace, adding things like custom content, and better character customization, it could easily overtake ComiPO! in being a go-to manga maker, so long as it actually listens to it's user-base's wants and needs.
