  [i]First edit (12/2018), second edit (12/2018): the developer has asked me to retry this, claiming my review is inaccurate. Both times I retried it, I found things in the game that weren't there upon my initial review. I'm happy to report things are being added, but I don't appreciate being called out for things that weren't there when I played it each time. That's a bit slimy. My original review has been edited to reflect my most recent findings. I won't be revisiting this title or review until full release.[/i] --- [b][i]Gym Simulator[/i] is horribly under-baked, and from reading the store page I'm not entirely sure that this isn't some kind of joke that will never be finished.[/b] I honestly think it's a neat idea if it were done well, but at this point it's more of a tease than anything. To speak plainly - there is little to do in the game, and very little of it seems to have any function. [b]Pros:[/b] +The idea is neat [b]Cons:[/b] -There are only a handful of excercises -You cannot strafe and it feels weird -You cannot walk backwards and it feels weird -We have mixed language menus even though you can choose a language -The game takes place in literally one small room -This project should be making leaps and bounds with updates, but is barely crawling -The dialogue is cringey, and broken -Too few assets -Menus are broken when going windowed mode -Lots of mirrors, but you cannot see your reflection -Janky textures that could be fixed in an afternoon [b]I'd steer clear.[/b]

  This game is wonderful, it allows me to live out my dream of leaving humanity behind for my gains and reach mount olympus. I was crippled in a car accident years ago and all I wanted in life was to be a successful body builder, now, with this game, I can continue my road to Olympus. This is more than a game to me, its a life style. I swear when I talked to that girl and we snuck away into the washroom for some fun... it all felt real to me. I worked hard for my dream body, lots of blood sweat and tears went into it. Looking at my self in the sweat stained mirror that sits in front of me while I do lateral raises to get those 3D delts I've always dreamed of gives me a feeling like no other. The alpha male achievement gave great joy to me, knowing that I have finally made it. I'm glad to be sitting a top the mountain with my heros, Arnie, Zyzz and Kai Greene, and its all thanks to this game and the lovely people who created it. “When You Walk Up To Opportunity’s Door: Don’t Knock It. Kick That Bitch In, Smile and Introduce Yourself” - Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) This game has given opritunity like nothing else, and I thank the devs for making it.

  about what you would expect from a game you can buy with pocket change. bonus points for the player character's eyelids(?), questionable grunting sound effects, and the fact that the scale near the gym's entrance takes in account the weight of dumbbells i was carrying.

  My favorite thing about Gym Simulator is how it never keeps you doing the same thing for very long. There may only be a small handful of overall interactions for the player, but thanks to the environments they battle you in and oftentimes their accessories, you’re constantly forced to tweak your strategy for how to make them vulnerable so you can suck them up, slam them around the room, and capture them. (And pounding them into the floor is extremely satisfying, by the way.)

  Best game ever! Now in Corona time I´m stuck at home and can´t go to the gym, but it´s ok, I have Gym simulatator.

  This is easily the best game i have ever seen or played. I love the built in RTX Ray Tracing support, and the graphics look amazing. The NPCs are also very interactive and the story is super in depth and realistic. I honestly don't see why the game is still in beta, its really stable and seems well polished and complete. The one complaint is that after playing the game, I didn't feel like I had paid enough for it, and I think the price should be higher.
