  The rifts is interesting and challenging map you can play in endless mode. Good addition for a small price and a teaser for everyone, who like me wants to support developer with buying Season Pass and encourage to deliver something breathtaking in The Last Autumn DLC. Looking forward for Project TVADGYCGJR (RECONQUEST?) too. 11bit gained my trust with solid base Frostpunk and all free stuff delivered in 2018. For now I have reason to play Frostpunk once again. 11bit has time to deliver me solid story and mechanics of prequel and sequel :). I owned it earlier, but free soundtruck included in Season Pass is also big adventage of bundle with its .flac quality. EDIT: I see some people are confused what to expect, if it is not clear from what I have stated above, maybe points listed below will avoid You possible disappointment: 1) When You buy Season Pass you get access to what I called teaser with interesting endless map I have fun with right now. Two full bloodied DLCs to follow and that's why I purchased Season Pass. Adittional goodies - high quality soundtrack and artbook are included. 2) If not interested in full package now or direct support to development of new DLCs, You can choose to buy the rifts alone to get a map for fair price and wait for more content abundant DLCs. 3) or buy nothing and enjoy base patched Frostpunt with 3 new endless maps ...hope it helps :)

  Nice map, plays well. If the building of bridges is all that was added to gameplay, then thats a bit of a let down as its map specific. I would rather have liked to see a gameplay addition to the game, not a thematic map specific mechanic (like lets say trading between colonies, which would add new gameplay to the game). Yet for the price asked, its a no brainer to support them releasing more. The price is not too much for it. Which means its a recommendation from me. However, i hope the developers will bring in more general gameplay additions in the future. The game could need a few more meta gameplay aspects.

  The new building is a bridge which only works on maps that allow for the bridge. It doesn't have any nuance and is extremely expensive. I want to support this game but this is not the way it should be be.

  Now don't get me wrong, Frostpunk is an under-exposed and under-appreciated absolute gem of a game that I have and continue to enjoy immensely. I say that now to offset the below. Do not buy this DLC. The idea of using bridges to expand your city along different lines is an interesting one but it fails in the execution. The bridges can only be used on the single new map and also CAN ONLY BE BUILT IN PRE-DEFINED LOCATIONS. This completely goes against any freedom the ability to build bridges should allow and serves to actually make the map much more restrictive than those in the base game and limits your build options hugely. Also (as a gameplay aside) the bridges are massively expensive but you need them to be able to access any resources, locking you into a failure circle as you can't gather enough on the starting areas to both build bridges to the new areas and to satisfy your people. I know this is part of the challenge of the map but the cost is soo huge it just makes the whole experience frustrating. This on top of the restrictive nature of the map mean it is a definite no from me.

  Def not worth $5 because all it adds is literally just a bridge that has set build points on a map. This should have either been a free update or wrapped up into a future DLC. I absolutely LOVE the game and want to support it but this DLC is a hard pass.
