Eiyu*Senki – The World Conquest Features

Story

Set in a world run by powerful nations where heroes battle one another for control, Britannia wishes to unite the world through peace, while the European Union has taken an aggressive stance. The seafaring nation of Vinland thrives on pillaging and plundering, while far to the East, the island country of Zipang is faced with civil war. In the midst of all this Himiko, a ruler in Zipang, seeks to unite the world for the sake of peace. Her ambitions are high but so far she has only seen defeat. One day, while retreating from battle, a mysterious hero falls from the sky and joins Himiko’s cause. The two now set their sights on the war burning around them.

Gameplay

Eiyu*Senki takes you on an adventure to the ends of the earth and back as you help Himiko save the world from an endless war. Along the way you'll meet unique characters inspired from real historical figures and mythological icons, like King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus, Rasputin, Kamehameha of Hawaii, Aristotle and many more. There are over 70 characters that can join your side, each with their own valuable battle skills and side-quest storylines. Your battle party can have up to six members, so you have literally millions of possibilities to form your "dream team" to take down monsters, zombies, dragons, and evil villains. The tactics based combat starts out simple, but grows to be challenging and addictive.

The leveling system is unique among RPGs, with two ways to level-up your characters: their troops, and their relationship with you. You can purchase more troops for your teammates every turn, increasing their damage output and combat ability. You can also complete side quests to unlock new combat skills and abilities. The game has over 30 hours of gameplay and story, but if you are a completionist then it will take 40 to 50 hours to experience all the characters and side stories.

Overview

  • Engaging tactical battle gameplay

  • Over 70 unique characters to recruit

  • Hundreds of side-quests to unlock new items, skills and rare characters

  • Over 30 hours of story to explore

  • Beautiful artwork from Oyari Ashito (Littlewitch Romanesque)

  • Fully voiced in Japanese by a stellar cast

Uncensor patch required: Yes. Mosaic censorship: No. My Score: 9/10

    Prologue

A long time ago, in a world somewhat different but at the same time very similar to ours, where nineteen kingdoms scattered around the world fight day and night for supremacy, with no apparent sign of a winner or at least peace in sight. Among these various kingdoms there was a very small one, the smallest with only a single city called Zipang that was on an island in the east, surrounded internally by cities that served other leaders, and externally by great powers, but that did not intimidate the leader of this little kingdom. ^^ This girl is called Himiko, a young priestess who is determined to conquer the whole world, starting with the neighboring town because she has complete confidence that her "perfect" plan will work and guarantee victory, and after that punish the enemy leader with the " terrible and cruel" tickling. But unfortunately the plan quickly proves to be a fiasco causing Himiko to have to flee. But on the run being attacked by bandits and without any strength to protect herself, it seemed that it would be her end even before her first victory, but a light appeared in the sky, and from it came a man wearing armor and carrying a sword, which would be the missing piece to her plan to unify the world. ^^ Pros: + A fun, light and humorous story combining Visual Novel with Turn-based Strategy. + A total of seventy-one girls, each with their own personality, and voiced speech that unfortunately is not all dialogue, but all the girls have a few lines of voiced dialogue in Japanese. + Nine different classes for the characters, each one with its advantages and disadvantages. + Freedom to attack any kingdom in the order you want, being able to choose the easiest or the most difficult path, in addition to bonus objectives and some kingdoms have special abilities. + Several events with each of the girls all they with voices, which allow you to know more about them and also unlock various skills, as well as several of these events made me laugh a lot. + Beautiful art, especially the art of the various girls. + Pleasant songs that match the most tense moments or the lightest ones. Cons: - Many of the events with girls are released to be done only after starting a war against another kingdom, and the girls participating in an event cannot be used in battle in both attack and defense in the same turn. - If you plan on making the game 100% like I do, be prepared because this can take a while, as my in-game hours show. - The last seven regions to conquer the game take a huge leap in difficulty, but nothing impossible to beat with a few tries. - The use of a certain Patch unfortunately disables the function of taking pictures during the game.

    Game mechanics

And so comes what would become known as Servant of Paradise and the protagonist of our story, along with Himiko joining forces to conquer all other kingdoms, finally unifying and bringing peace to this world, in this combination of two types of games that I really like , turn-based strategy where we can choose which territory to attack and with which characters, while thinking about which ones to save for defense, and Visual Novel to tell the story and the various events in which we advance in the main story and have several events with the warrior girls knowing more about themselves and deepening relationships. ^^ Warrior girls who curiously have the names of famous warriors and leaders, and each one of them with their own skills divided into nine different classes, which brings us to one of the most curious points of this game, because during battles no just the turns order and the girls range need to be considered, but also gain energy to using the special powers of each girl and the way to do it and attacking and causing damage to enemy troops, but each class in the game has other classes, which if attacking causes extra damage, such as firearms against most classes melee, but when that happens, the energy, instead of coming to the player, goes all to the enemy, making it necessary to think about what is more interesting, causing extra damage or having more energy for the girls' special skills. ^^

    Art and sound

In the artistic part produced by the Japanese studio Tenco, I liked it, I think that some small points like the arts of some cities could be better worked on, but in general I liked it, mainly the arts of the various girls in the game, with each one of them having had the attention to adding clothes that make reference to the place of origin or the profession of the person who they have the same name, in addition to some girls having arts with much less clothes in more spicy moments. As for the soundtrack, I liked the music and the sound effects, but the highlight goes to the voices, with all seventy girls having several of their lines of dialogue voiced in Japanese, which multiplied the funniest of the stories moments several times of each of them. ^^

    Conclusion

Eiyu*Senki – The World Conquest was a game that I bought years ago but only now I decided to play it at the same time that a friend here at Steam was doing the same, and I must sincerely thank this friend of mine for making me want to play , because I had a lot of fun both fighting to conquer the various kingdoms around the world, and in moments of peace talking while having tea or looking for some special item with each of the girls. Therefore, Eiyu*Senki – The World Conquest is without a doubt a game that I recommend, especially for those who like turn-based strategy and pretty girls that will make the player laugh countless times and laugh a lot. ^^

    7/10

In this Japanese regional conquest SLG, which feminizes many well-known historical and mythological figures, you can clearly see the developer's homage and imitation of AliceSoft's Daiteikoku and Sengoku Rance. The game has many strengths that appeal to players but also inevitably have fatal flaws. The character design of this game is a masterpiece. The costume design of the characters, in particular, makes quite a visual impact on the player and brings out the character's identity relatively well. There are many historical characters, some playable gameplay, good music, and if the player is so inclined, some basic knowledge of history and mythology as well as geography. It is worth mentioning that this game is very friendly to most players as it allows you to choose the difficulty freely compared to AliceSoft's game, and there is no turn limit on the triggering of events, and you can collect them all in a single playthrough. The game's flaws are obvious, however- too many boarding characters and a lack of characterization in the plot make most of the image of the character superficial, and the Inadequate depiction of emotional lines makes this a fairly simple and mindless harem plot for the vast majority of the time. The overly long text, unreasonable quest design and lack of depth in the gameplay make for a tiring experience in the later stages of the game, making it difficult to motivate players to return to the game after passing it. The values conveyed in this game are also quite questionable, and those who are more serious about history may not be able to accept the feminization of historical characters. Overall, Eiyu*Senki - The World Conquest is quite enjoyable, but the game also has a lot of problems and I would only recommend this game to those who enjoy regional conquest SLGs and are very interested in the subject matter of this game. Even these players will have to carefully consider whether they can accept the shortcomings of this game.

Upd: R18 patch is available from Jast USA site for $6. Good strategy and VN. Based on very popular eroge but this is all-ages version with patch not yet available. Character art by Oyari Ashito.

Well, after a little testing... it's Sengoku Rance in the most basic gameplay, while not being that complex: less stats for battles, mission only oriented. But at least seems way more "girl friendly" for the storytelling, Rance ("hero" of Sengoku Rance) being a rapist pervert, while our Servant of Light seems more honorable. For the story: take historical names from different eras, change them into girls, and let's the fun begin! Crazy enough for me. ^^ Fap masters be aware! This version doesn't have the R-18 hentai scenes... at most some ecchi contents, but no adult scenes, certainly thanks to Steam adult policy. (is this why there's one u less in the title? differenciating versions?) EDIT for Kraken tamers: R-18 patch available on JASTUSA website, if you need that extra "boost"! Just give a little extra in buying the DLC-patch to match the JASTUSA price. EDIT +: As a dummy, I didn't read the "readme.txt" with the patch... so be sure to read that! (Me: Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game... <_< )

Lovely game, my first impression is that is a Sengoku Rance type game if you know what that is. Story is very cute and the MC is kinda bland and loving towards his girls so its pure vanilla all the way. I bought the uncensor DLC patch from the JastUSA website for 6$. Just had to download, extract to my install directory and run it and now the game is fully uncensored. Read some reviews saying their dlc got flagged but my AV didn't have any reactions at all. Guessing it was false positive. Anyways the initial gameplay is pretty easy. I have heard additional difficulties might be unlocked somehow but I am not sure how. Enjoying my time in the game regardless. Edit : I hope that Jast looks towards translating and selling Eiyu*Senki Gold Edition as well. It would definitely rate a buy from me as well.

Am I the only person in this review section who bought it because the Fire Emblem-y Ogre Battle-y unit-based combat looked interesting, and *not* because of sex scenes with historical figures as anime girls? I mean, I'll gently hold Lu Bu's hand if it means she learns how to kill things better, but I didn't set out with that intention. Does this make me weird?

Great game with simple but enjoyable strategy elements. The designs are pleasant to the eyes and the story makes you want to play more and more until the whole day is gone. Strategy game with cute anime girls what more can you ask for??
