  I was around 9 years old when I first played this. I remember booting up my PS3, lounging on the couch and just messing around the levels and speeding around the ramps. I will always remember how sad I got when I had to sell my PS3 and my games. But now after finally finishing the whole game I'm truly and eternally happy :)

  This game was genuinely part of my childhood. My dad got me the DVD-based one when I was maybe only 4 or so, and I played it to death. Like literally. I killed the disc. Luckily enough, my dad is a smart man, and bought 3, seeing 4-year olds and DVD's don't particularly mix well. I actually still have the OG DVD to this day, and as long as you have a good enough DVD-drive in your PC, then it actually still runs fine. I've also got the second one on the shelf next to me, not in much better of condition, as I was still young, but it works fine in the vast majority of DVD-drives. The third one is actually packed away in a storage box, out in my garage, never opened. Still sealed and all. I almost opened it a couple of years ago, but decided against it, as it's a genuine part of my childhood, and I wanted to preserve it. There were always some issues that I had with it ever since the day that I got it. 2 to be precise. 1: It was a DVD; Fragile and easily scratched. Even at the age of 4 I knew that they were incredibly weak and frail. 2: You, *had*, to have the disc in to play the stinkin' game. No arguing. I never understood why as a young child, all that I knew was that it was Very, very, *VERY*, annoying. Then, a couple of years ago, all of my problems were instantly solved. The game was on steam. I had wanted to get it for awhile up until this point, but I figured that seeing as I already had the game on DVD, it wouldn't really do me much good to purchase it digitally. Oooooh boy was I wrong. I just recently purchased it a couple days ago for the full $20 asking price, even though it was gonna be going for $4 in just a few days, and I do not regret it. Not only do I think that the game is worth the full-fledged $20, (whether that be more from bias or not, I do not know :P), the convenience of having it digitally is just spectacular. It's so much easier to just download it really quick, NOT have to put in the disk, and to just play it. Digressing, I stand by the fact that it's still a really fun, super great game, even at 16 years old where I should probably start to like guns or something like that. Buy it if you don't have it.
