So Crash Wheels was surprisngly fun, but short. So far I'm halfway through the game and I've been playing just about 15 minutes. However, in the 15 minutes that I played, I had SOME fun. I found the gameplay right now to be very, VERY easy. Maybe if the levels were longer, or if actually getting in first place ment something, then it would be difficult, but right now the best strategy is to go AFK at the start, let the other vehicles pass you, then continue on in the free open area. I do have high hopes for this game tho! I can see a bright future for this! Check out my gameplay on it if you want a quick look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk3VgdXttrE

I LOVE THIS GAME, Personally I would reccomend a level editor, kinda like happy wheels and many more tracks, then this game would be perfect.
Fast & Furious & Destructive
A strange combination of a 3D car crash simulation and a brute achievement popper game. Steam is not learning about this for some reason. 32 levels and you unlock 18 achievements for entering and passing each level. What makes it difficult are the hostile opponents behind you that try to push you into the abyss. It's recommended to destroy them first before you try to finish the tracks. You also have watch out for car wreks that could stop your accerelation which you need to perform car jumps over high gaps. In some level your car won't even survive a jump from a top platform. You have to land smooth. The traps are mostly swinging hammers and landmines. The game is not bad and challenging. But it's ridiculous how it tries to be a serious game. You can feel the cheap implementation everywhere.
INTRO
Is it a budget BeamNG?
THE GOOD AND THE BAD
+ Very good crash physics + Cockpit view + A shitton of free achievements *1 + AI cars being idiots and crashing each other out all the time *2 - One car (you cannot even pick your color) - Little challenge (you "win" by finishing the level, no need to come in first) *3
NOTES
*1 The "achievements" consist of variously colored letters and numbers. I assume you can make a nice achievement showcase from them in your profile. You unlock the first half by just opening the levels, the second half is unlocked by finishing them. *2 Avoid the grey car. It's there to ruin your race and ram you off the track. The red cars are harmless and usually take each other out. *3 The whole game can be completed under an hour. There's also a sandbox "crash test" level which could've been designed better. It's reminiscent of the "Next Car Game" full tech demo, but nowhere near as fun unfortunately.
OVERALL
Not sure how to rate this game. The crash physics are really cool and they could certainly find use in some actual game. In its current (and I assume final) state it's a decent way to spend 30 minutes of your life when you're bored. The game would massively benefit from having a track editor. The 32 levels present are too short and easy to complete. Despite all of this, I could recommend this game when (and only when) it's priced at 0.49€ during sales. If nothing else, you at least get a lot of free achievements. The gameplay itself is good too, but skeleton. Therefore, it's barely worth a cent over 0.99€.
RATING
5.5/10

Sort of an arcade-style racing challenge game, but you're not really racing, just trying to reach the end of 32 short tracks. Your car can easily be severely damaged if you hit any obstacle, land too hard, or smack into the half baked AI competitors. Most levels can be completed the first time no problem, but some rather tricky ones are sprinkled throughout that just depend on trial and error. Graphics are simple, I'm guessing purchased models for the cars and mountain surroundings. Track decorations/props are very basic, like those in Crossy Road. I don't want to be too hard on Crash Wheels, it's not a horrible diversion (especially purchased on sale), but it feels like someone experimenting with Unity over the course of a week or two, growing bored, adding rather awful generic hard rock instrumentals, then calling it good and posting it for sale. Can't say that's something I respect. A bit more effort and creativity would have done wonders, even if the scale were kept small. Main reason you might want to buy Crash Wheels is that you receive a ton of achievements for completing each level. It's from the makers of the Zup! series, so no surprise there. However, the profile backgrounds associated with the game are very drab. 2/5
