  I always though Hime with -1 DEF is bad.... now they gave her -2 DEF! Great! Can't wait to get one shotted everytime she gets challenged

  Thanks my friend for this gift. Mechanic-wise, these two are fun, but art-wise, I don't quite like them.

  Part 1: Fernet (Noble) - Rank: T3

  Basically Fernet herself sold 1 DEF for 1 EVD, not a good deal I think. Oh well, now she truly behaves like a princess that you have to pay stars to challenge her to battle, that price isn't something but eh. Her hyper itself isn't quite impressive at first glance - level 2 with no cost, makes all other units randomly gain -1 to one of their stats in their next battle, but if in her hand, she can upgrade it to Affluence (X), and when X hits 4, this card initiates a Whimsical Windmill effect but gives all of them -3 ATK, and if you do not suffer KO from their attack, they pay you stars equal to 10x their level. This takes significant amount of stars to build up, but in late games, one can net you many many stars like a well-timed Whimsical Windmill does but gives you the Ubiquitous effect instead, not to mention the fact that she has good defense to make sure she can take those hits. There is one counter to such card, and that is the legendary Reverse Attribute Field! So you need to be careful if there are characters that tend to bring such card to the game, as this gives them a chance to one-hit-kill you. And because she has -1 EVD, you'd better make sure you have at least 4 HP before you pop it or you might die and waste everything. She kinda reminds me of Freudia Neuwahl though. Changed to T3 after seeing how powerful her hyper can be if pulled off right. She has been nerfed in the latest version as she no longer attacks in those battles but she's still in the T3 range.

  Part 2: Hime (Moonlight) - Rank: T2

  Now, with a stat of 5/+1/-2/+2/5, this version of Hime is basically a Suguri that trades 1 DEF for 1 max HP, this may or may not be beneficial, similar to Yuki vs. Tomomo. And while she can make sure she never dies to a 5, which is unlike Suguri, she's still prone to bullies due to the nature of EVD. She has a passive - at every 5th chapter, her stat becomes 5/-1/-1/+3/5, paying 2 ATK for 1 DEF and 1 EVD. While this stat is quite underwhelming, this is what makes her hyper shines. Her hyper (level 2, 20 stars, BATTLE) gives her a stronger Repa-like mechanism. Upon use, if you dodge enemy attack, you deal that amount of damage to them. So this is one way to counter low-ATK characters, but this isn't over. If used at the exact "every 5th chapter", it deals double damage at the cost of not picking defend. This, combined with her increased EVD, makes it a "surprise motherfucker!" card which can slap your opponent in the face painfully because dodging just a 3 can deal a whopping 6 damage to your opponent, which is enough to kill most casts in the game. The only downside is, it's a battle card, they only way to enhance it is with Accelerating Sky. And the chances are you will still die if their attack is too strong. To make sure you don't take a whopping 4+ damage from her, just don't try anything stupid when she gets "Moonlight" buff, and try to get a really strong combo to knock her down if possible. If she plans to do an attack with this card, just bring Shield so you don't fight back and thus take damage. Raised back to T2. While aggressive characters can dominate her with ease, you don't meet those characters often, and with 5 HP she doesn't die that often like Suguri or Cook does. This will be one of my new mains.

  Fernet (Noble) is a bit of a design mess, but still manages to be an effective unit by the simple fact that tanks that don't depend on cards are really good. Although not as tanky as her base game counterpart, Fernet (Noble) can gain stars while her opponents try to chip her down. Affluence is one of the biggest win-more cards in the game. Making it work requires you to invest a bunch of stars and be healthy. You know, those things that happen when you are already winning. One Gift Exchange or Flamethrower will ruin her setup and put you in a terrible position. New Nobility however is an ok combat trick that doesn't cost a thing. What you end up with is a character that plays more or less the same as her free counterpart with some minor changes unless you really go out of your way for the big payoff. Hime (Moonlight) is an interesting take on an arctype that was formerly exclusive to Ceoreparque; a skirmisher who deals damage through evasion. Her frailty will lead to a lot of broken hearts in the face of offense characters and lucky rolls. Playing her effectively will depend on making good use of her full moon mechanic. Every 5th turn boosts her EVD and doubles the damage from her hyper while weakening her ATK. With proper setup, you can make some pretty flashy plays, assuming your opponent doesn't wiff their roll in your big moment. She is fun, but very high risk. This pack ekes out a thumbs up from me, but just barely. Hime will give evasion fans a new toy to play around with and Fernet is... Fernet again. Buy if you like waifus I guess.
