This has to be one of the best hentai games/visual novel that I've come across on my journey. It has a decent amount of achievements, enjoyable lines, a fair amount of playtime, and most importantly some AMAZING girls and scenes. Definitely one to buy when you get the chance, I know I'll be coming back for those replays ;) 10/10
Great feminine romance.
[Pay-to-Play], A cute love story.

Chasing Tails ~A Promise in the Snow~ is a pretty good game : It has a good balance of humor, emotions, love with a pinch of horror. This visual novel doesn't have an overly complicated story, but it is charming and gives you the possibility to start a Girl & Girl relationship with two different characters. It is quite simple, but it's cute and well executed, worth it for the cheap price.

[SIDENOTE] Chasing Tails ~A Promise in the Snow~ includes a downloadable (and completely free) DLC that includes 5 (replayable) hentai scenes, more information can be found below. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1659940/Chasing_Tails__18_Adult_Only_Patch/

This game/VN is a bit difficult for me to pin down. On the one hand, I personally vastly prefer their previous effort, Lucy Got Problems, for a variety of reasons (which are mostly due simply to personal preference, more on that in a bit). On the other, I loved that title so much that living up to it was something of an unrealistically high bar for me - which it mostly does, but not quite. This title is still objectively "good," and I very much do recommend it as well, but I wouldn't exactly say it was "phenomenal." The art is top-tier mangaka; it's gorgeous and incredibly detailed, and the "spicy" scenes are illustrated really well. The characters' designs are adorable and clearly visually distinct (Rin's jet black hair and striking red eyes, vs. Kumi's white fox kit and "unseen" eyes), and while I can see how one could argue that June isn't a particularly memorable or "unique" main character by some standards, she is とても可愛い. Character sprites are unfortunately not directly animated (e.g., the realistic breast jiggle physics these devs used in LGP), but there is at least a good variety of (adorable) facial expressions and poses. The artbook DLC has JPG copies of all of the "all-audience" CGs (adult scenes not included as of this writing, 8 Oct. 2022), and thoughtfully includes absurd-res (like, 6K) versions of a large subset thereof. There are also a few closer looks at some adorable little in-game Easter eggs like sneaky references to 3 of their other titles (the aforementioned LGP, and the forthcoming Selene Apoptosis and CrocApoca) that I found to be a highlight. My only real criticism here is that the vast majority of the CGs amount to a single static scene, without any "animation"/variation across multiple frames as is often found in narrative-centric VNs. I wouldn't normally hold this against them, but the script of several of the (particularly adult) scenes in question involves a progression in the narrative/action that isn't illustrated at all, which seems odd by omission. Audio design is nice, and reasonably scene-appropriate. There's unfortunately no character voice work per se in the "main" game, though there is some moaning in the adult scenes for which 3 actresses are billed in the credits. <'whoop-de-doo' finger motion> The music isn't anything exceptional, but is pleasant enough and generally pretty suitable for the situations. The sound effects are actually great, though (the squeaky one is adorable), and do seem to help the immersion level for me. In terms of gameplay, it's more of a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type of VN (where choices matter for reasons beyond immediate dialogue) than a linear kinetic novel - although it is more linear than others of that description. Not only is there essentially only 1 "path" (with minor branches for each girl once you meet Kumi), but there are "only" 6 endings in total (2 early deaths, 1 "bad" ending, 2 similarly suboptimal "good" endings, and 1 "true" ending) depending on all your choices. As some other reviewers have pointed out, due to the rather mysterious nature of the story and the vague nature of some of the choices, (especially in the early game) it's often a bit opaque as to what the long-term results of choices might be. This theoretically results in a lot of save/load trial and error unless you follow a guide; even if you do, it's still often not obvious what the direct consequences will be, and I would nonetheless recommend backtracking to pick up the full dialogue from the various alternate branches. Which leads me to far and away my single biggest objective complaint about this title: the lack of a rollback for easy backtracking. There is a history/backlog for story reference like pretty much every VN, but it's presented solely in the form of script, with no means to go back other than loading a previous save state. In the grand scheme of things, this isn't a huge problem, but it seems to me an unnecessarily irritating QoL failure in this day and age - particularly when their earlier title LGP implemented precisely that rollback system something like 5 years ago. It also unfortunately eschews the clever little point-and-click sections they used in LGP, and which I really enjoyed in that title. This seems to be part of a specific effort to make this title tighter and more focused; I guess I can kind of understand that when it's considerably smaller in scope than LGP, and this title broadly works within those constraints, but it was a minor disappointment for me. The story is more than a bit hit and miss for me, but I feel like that's mostly a matter of personal taste. I have absolutely no interest in anything that could reasonably be described as "horror" - with the notable exception of action movies from like 1979-92 built around their SFX (e.g., Alien, The Thing, and the Predator franchise) - and supernatural things in general, really. The devs specifically cite the Twin Peaks TV series as an influence in the artbook, and I can honestly say I have never had any interest in watching a single episode of it. I went into this VN in spite of all that because I loved the devs' earlier work; it has received generally favorable reviews; the art looked nice; and I was able to get it at a decent discount, and the result was about what I expected. It's quite well-written in general, and the character moments seem to ring true, but is perhaps a bit heavy on the horror and supernatural elements for my liking - and I was particularly disappointed by one such scene of what amounted to a jumpscare. But all of that's just me! That stuff may well be for you! All I can say for sure is that it's not my cup of tea. The character moments are very cute and enjoyable, and there's a lot of good humor in June's and Rin's interactions - and to a lesser extent between both of them and Kumi the kitsune (I only just now noticed that's alliterative in English). But I feel like that part gets more than a bit shortchanged by Kumi not even showing up until like 2/3 of the way through, and Kumi is somewhat disappointingly underdeveloped as a result - I noted in one of the Discussion threads that she seems little more than a "UwU (,,• ω •,,)" archetype. A lot of the reviews have noted that the whole thing seems way too short (I completely finished the entire story with all achievements and CGs in about 15 hours, as a very slow reader taking my sweet-ass time), and I'm very much of two minds about this. On the one hand, I agree that it's too short (e.g., like I mentioned) to give Kumi any time for the character development she deserves or to build an actual relationship with June. On the other, (particularly as a slow reader) I appreciate stories that are relatively shorter and to the point, and don't "overstay their welcome," so to speak. Ultimately, I think this comes down to your preferences re: short- vs. long-form storytelling, and at what price you're able get it. If you don't mind a tight, focused experience that might come across as feeling a little rushed, then this might be for you. If shorter lengths are a deal-breaker for you, then it might be best to try something else. It might be a bit expensive for some at full price, but should nonetheless be worth it with a decent discount. Overall, I consider this a worthwhile little lewd VN - particularly if you find it on sale, as I did. The art is amazing, and the story - with a few... shortcomings - is good enough. I'm happy to continue supporting this dev for the wonderful work they do with their art and design, and I'm interested to see what comes next from them.
