  It is good considering the price. I wish there was more different species of animals. and i wish you had to start from scratch, so the office isnt decorated, and you had to do that yourself. But overall its a good game.

  I can't recommend this game at this time. It is fairly buggy and gets repetitive really fast. After the tutorial, you essentially repeat everything the tutorial taught you. That's it. The only things you have control over are decorations, really. I'm really not one to be bothered by bugs but some of these are game breaking. I got stuck several times, an animal of mine got sick without cure, and there's so many UI features I'm missing, things that in today's simulator games are standard - A "undo" button while decorating or selling for example. The names of the people repeat several times and after a few adoption cycles the whole process feels dreadful. ESPECIALLY after you get more cages and animals; As there is zero automation (as far as I can tell) it is impossible to keep every animal happy AND adopt them out and get any money. It's possible I haven't found my rythm yet, however. I'm at three starts rep. I AM still having fun, I love simulator games and I don't mind repetitive/grindful tasks, but what I'm severely lacking here is the long term rewards. You get one email from the adopters which feels like one of three pre written messages making the whole process super unemotional (which, in my opinion, is not an okay thing for a simulator with a big emotional factor), and the stakes for finding the right owner or pet are so low, eventually you just don't care. And considering that you bond with every animal just to "sell" it later, which is sad in the beginning but feels factory-like later on, takes everything I was looking forward to in this game: Rescuing animals and finding them a good, fitting home. Personally I think they released it too fast. I hope there will be updates in the future, I really do. I will still play this game and have a good time but overall I have to say it's fairly disappointing, and unless you enjoy the really, really grindy parts in simulators, this game is not for you. From what I've counted, you're getting about 3 hrs of unique gameplay.

  I may now be slightly obsessed with this game. It's a great game to give you the full experience of running and operating your own animal shelter. A few things I'd like to see added in the future though: An Auto Run function. Ability to leash dogs and take them for walks to raise fun. Hopefully even more items to purchase in the future. Abilitly to rescue/adopt out other types of animals. Ability to adopt certain animals yourself (with a limit based on center size) that then either roam the office or roam around the whole facility. While this is a more end of game suggestion - I'd like to see the ability to actually hire people to work at stations. Someone that washes dogs, someone that makes sure all food and water is filled, someone that picks up poop. End of the day, very fun game and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

  This is such a cute and nice game! I really enjoy it so far. This game is clearly defined and described by its title and it's what you would expect. You improve and develop your own animal shelter and raise both dogs and cats to take care of them and find them forever sweet and loving homes to individuals and families as well. The choice is yours at the very beginning of the game if you want to first take in cats or dogs but eventually the game will unlock and allow you to do both after doing a checklist and some tasks to get you to know pretty much the basics of the game. Some of the things you can do in the game are: -Take in animals and feed them and play around with them, there are many different toys and things that dogs and cats normally play with such as balls, bones, scratch posts, lasers etc. - Be a veterinarian and try to improve the cats or dogs health by bandaging up their wounds, using tweezers to take out ticks, blood samples and blood testing and putting eye drops in the animals eyes. As well as give them medicine and pills to get better. (This requires the vet building to be purchased and unlocked and placed in the yard) -A photo studio which I absolutely love and adore as you can put various outfits on the pets and have the animals do different poses and etc. -A dedicated washing building to clean the dogs. -An included building mode to place things where you want them but you have to gain expansion tickets or you can buy some with in game currency in order to expand your shelters land. You will get expansion tickets as you improve and develop your own shelter for free. -Order refills and products you need to take care of your shelter animals. You have to just as in real life pay attention and give love and care for each of your animals. If you don't and you ignore them or even forget, the animals will get taken away from you after a certain period of time. You also take photos of your animals by using a camera and until you are able to buy and place the photo studio you would have to buy a point and shoot camera that prints out photos and scan them into your office computer. But once you scan them in, they will be on your game as it saves. But once you get the photo studio you get a much better camera and it automatically uploads to the PC in the photo shoot building. As far as the adoption process goes, you basically create advertisements and upload the pets photos and go through people who are interested in adopting those specific animals or it can be that they are interested in any dog or cat that you may have. But you have to sort by traits by what the person wants, and what the cat or dog has and you have to basically decide who is best fit for each other. The traits are automatically determined in game, but you still have to decide by your judgement what is best. You don't need to fufill all the traits but its best if you get some matching from my experience and the adopters will give you money if they really enjoy and like the animals. If you really enjoy and adore pets/animals like I do, I would really recommend picking up and trying out this game, and there is a demo available for free as well.

  The game is fun and cute. But only for like an hour or two. Then it already becomes repetetive and offers nothing new. What you see in the screenshots of the store page actually shows everything you can do. Time only makes the lot and buildings larger, which lets you handle more animals at the same time. That means doing the same things even more over and over again.

  Personally I think its a cute and relaxing game to play. It IS repetitive, It would be great if they had more customisation options, probably customise your own shelter a bit better then the current way it is. One thing that I would highly recommend that would be awesome is to have a pet that is the shelter pet, where it stays in the main building with you, roaming around. It only JUST released, give them time. I haven't had frame rate drops or any massive bugs, yet?   The game is helping me heal from losing my real dog of 15 years old(13 years with me 2 years on the street and as a rescue dog). I lost my dog in December a few days away from christmas, due to cancer and degrading health. Haven't felt like gaming too much, saw this game on sale, and its helpful just to go through the motions. Is the game the best game ever? No but it doesn't need to be, its made a few good choices and its early enough access for a sub 20 usd buy, that its easy just to justify buying.

  I have to agree with the other negative reviews here. I was really looking forward to the game but I have to say, I feel like I paid $20 to play the demo on repeat. I did expect a lot more for sure, although I'm not sure what. The thing that annoyed me the most was how long it takes to adopt out animals IF you're trying to match well with an owner. I've placed repeated ads and still not had an appropriate owner come up for the animal. Very boring and frustrating. I found the whole game very repetitive, get animal, give food, water and a pat. Play a bit. Take a photo. Adopt out after an hour of waiting for and going through owners to find a decent match. Repeat forever. Occasionally you can take an animal to the vet or dog wash. I never got the photo studio working properly although I'll admit I was already bored by then. I love sim games but this one is lack luster. Another reviewer said "Are the people leaving positive reviews playing the same game as me" and I feel the same. I think my daughter will enjoy it once shes a little older so maybe theres a market for kids, but it definitely got old quick for me.

  Sadly, I can only give this game a negative review. As much as I admire the good intentions in this game, it is unfortunately absolutely inadequately created. It starts with the fact that you don't get to see any people in this game. The interaction with the new pet owners is only done via the PC. And there you spend a lot of time, if you really want to find the right new owner. A lot of time! Normally the interactions with the animals are limited to feeding, giving water, petting or throwing the ball, waiting for the poop to be made and washing. Especially with the dogs being pack animals, I would have expected them to play with each other if you let them out in the run together - but nothing. The dogs also do not lie down in their dog beds so far.... well, it's daytime all the time anyway. Oh, and there is of course no daily routine, so fixed feeding times, for example. For sick, malnourished or too fat animals can be important. And my biggest criticism: You have to do everything alone! There is no support, no employees, no volunteers to walk the dogs, as is usual at least in local animal shelters (Germany). There are also no visitors, no adoption events like some shelters like to host. The game is really very repetitive: animal arrives, take care of it in the cage, have a short time outdoor, take a picture, place an ad, find a suitable owner, put the dog in the car - and the next one. In short, it gets boring quickly. There are many tasks in an animal shelter that you can do yourself and also delegate to others. But not in the way it is presented here. Sadly.
