To difficult to find water units.

Really annoying to work with honestly because of how much the game REALLY tries to shove this DLC down your throat, like the game will have a fit if it can't give you a city with at least 3 ports scattered around at random made up spots. I don't care how much this game wants me to use this DLC you can't tell me that Tucson Police needs 3 boats for rivers that are dried up beds a majority of the year, you can't tell me a cruise ship is sinking in the Arkansas river by Tulsa, and you can't tell me that there's a cargo ship being hijacked in a non existant lake in Lancaster CA. It became almost a game in itself just trying to find a city that didn't need 3 boats for the small 250 2^ft pond they have in the town center. I got so fed up with this DLC I had more fun disabling it than anything else. Even when you use it in a coastal city it still doesn't want to play nice. I ended up having a section in Newport News, Virginia where a bridge was recognized as a land mass, boxing off an entire bay into it's own area meaning I had to get separate department boats for that one spot. Creating multiple instances where the police boat would be overwhelmed during a call, injuring both officers, then just having the suspects aimlessly drive around the bay with a helicopter flying over them the whole shift. It's so frustrating working with this DLC because the game is clearly not built for it, the whole DLC feels badly tacked on with cruise ships sinking in aquatic preserves in Clearwater, tsunamis happening in Milwaukee, and passenger jets landing in small rivers half a mile away from the Indianapolis airport.

Author's note: Since DLC's are not games, a new format for reviewing such products is being used. The format should be short enough to not warrant a TL;DR section. (If not, see a Psychologist to treat your extremely limited attention span.)
What the DLC adds
Ships that can be used by all three types of emergency services, incidents occurring on bodies of water, and a watery background is also provided in the incident scenes. This DLC also provides a scenario based off of the 2012 Costa Concordia Disaster in which units must be dispatched to rescue people offshore. (This disaster can also spawn on maps that have large enough bodies of water.) Successful completion of the scenario in the most difficult game mode grants the player with an achievement.
Impressions
Water Operations adds some much needed variety to the base game, but with the way boats cannot travel underneath causeways, players will either have to quit missions that involve transporting patients or criminals (and take a penalty) or be prepared to buy more boats than what should be reasonably expected of the player because violent encounters requiring SWAT weapons and equipment can occur even in relatively small bodies of water.
Worth the purchase?
Only at a discounted price, unless the player is the type that's obsessive about completing their collection of DLC's for a game. Depending on the map the player is playing, this DLC should be disabled. When in doubt, check the map in game and make your decision from there whether or not to disable this DLC. (Ol' Il Pallino can say from personal experience that starting out on the east side of Florida's Tampa Bay area is a nightmare with this DLC.)
The honest word of Il Pallino... OR ELSE!
This review has been provided independently by an admin at REXCurse (REXnetwork). No compensation was provided. The DLC seems fine, it adds a lot of new incidents, but I really wouldn't recommend if you're playing a small town anywhere with lakes (I decided to play in my home town which is in Minnesota). It adds too many units for each lake and it makes the screen look like a giant mess. Avoid this DLC if you're in this certain specific use case. Otherwise, it's probably fine

The dlc is so much better than the facilities one. Water operations brings so much more to 112 operator. it provides a more diverse range of incidents to resolve. It includes a lot of new units, new calls, and disasters. very much worth the money maybe even worth more. 10/10 a lot better than the facilities dlc.

I hadn't played the game in a while, so I decided to buy this DLC and try it out. I continued my first campaign (I have only played the campaign so far) and tbh I was a bit disappointed by this addition. I have just played one shift, but as in the rest of the game, there are way too many incidents and especially on the water I was not ready for that. I got one basic and one transport boat for the police and medical services and also 2 boats for the fire. So six in total. But people went mayhem, so with those units in my single shift I had to
clean 2 oil spillages, 2 ship robberies, 2 kidnappings, 2 drownings, people speeding on a boat, a boat driving dangerously, a missing child search, a boat gone loose, a technical incident...
There were even more, but I have mostly remembered the ones I could actually send units to. In total, there were just way too many incidents and also they were way too big for the units I got. Half way through my game I noticed I could also send helicopters to water incidents, so that gave some relief, but I still had to deal with ship robberies, which are totally ridiculous. Cause here I was, short on all three types, and I had a ship robbery going on. So what did I do, I send the big police boat I got to the robbery. Well, before I now it all three officers are shot down and now I not only have a unit less, but also I have a big medical incident with like 7 people needing serious aid. Oh, and the attackers are speeding away. Oh, and one of my medical boats is waiting for transport and can't leave because of it and the other is on the other side of the map. My 2 fireboats are also waiting for a police unit to finish their incident... And than the second ship robbery appeared..... For some reason the robbers for that one took forever, cause 6 hours later at the end of my shift, after everything else was done, I send a fireheli, 2 fireboats, 2 medical boats, my remaining boat with 2 officers and my police heli, also with 2 officers on it to these guy's apparently still busy with their robbery. Only the 2 officers of the boat got shot that time, so in the end both of my boats were taken out of action, but at least my shift was over then. And if that was that, ok , this game is mostly about getting overwhelmed I believe and I could buy more teams for my next shift. Stuff like this is also quit hilarious off course. But also these incidents spawned everywhere on the map. Not just in the zones I had to control like the normal land incidents. No, water incidents for some reason popped up all over the map. Mostly in lakes, but also in rivers right in the corner. Considering water units are about as quick as cars... The game sometimes expected me to move vehicles from one corner to the other. And it takes like half your shift to do that. I dunno if this is a bug, but it gave a lot of stress. And that is when the wonkiest thing started. I think that maybe my boats realised how dare the situation was, because 2 of my ships started traversing on land. That's right, as if it was Normandy all over again, my police and medical boat suddenly started ignoring the waterways and just went in a straight line to the incidents I send them too! I dunno, maybe I had PTSD from that first robbery. But it was a strange shift for sure. I had fun though, so in the end I recommend this :)

In free play it takes to long to download the water map. I have disable the DLC until they fix it.

The DLC is amazing. It allows water transportation, which is a PLUS. This was an amazing DLC. My favorite part is the new calls.

This DLC is very buggy, in free play Cologne i get every duty a mission inside the river which is not meant to be there. If i remember correctly it is mostly a Kidnapping mission which instantly fails because it is not meant to spawn in the river! I get bad reputation and cant do anything to solve it. Did they even tested this DLC? I mean i get it on every duty... they should have seen this at one point and did not fix it??
