The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy-Douglas Adams Introduction

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a humorous science fiction novel by English writer Douglas Adams. The first book of the series of the same name. The book begins with the fact that the house of the protagonist Arthur Dent is trying to demolish to build a new highway. To stop the demolition, Arthur lies down in front of the bulldozer, after which his friend Ford Prefect arrives.
