Tiny Bunny is set in 1999 in Russia in the taiga zone. The protagonist is Anton Petrov, a 12-year-old schoolboy from the sixth "B" grade, who moved from the city to an unknown village with his sister and parents in the winter.

Anton encounters some mysterious phenomena in the village that seem to happen only to him: meeting a fox girl named Alice, a tiny bunny, meeting a mysterious Forest Master, other animals, dancing in the forest and much more.

Tiny bunny is a short, and I mean a very short prologue to what should be a 5 part visual horror novel. You can get through the first episode in an hour or so, and as a visual novel you'll have to read a bit, but what really sets Tiny Bunny apart is his unique art style and eerily beautiful soundtrack. The music creates the perfect dark tone that harmonizes with the style of the art in a way that really brings the story to life, I really don't think it would be half as good as it is without these two elements complementing each other in that way.

As for the story itself... well, with one hour of content there really isn't much to go on. There are really only 2 choices you can make, and only one of them really has any effect on the story. However, the little content that is available is very well written, and despite the fact that the native language for this novel is not English, I felt that the flow of the story was exceptionally well done. As far as horror is concerned, the story dives into a bit of supernatural Russian folklore and does a good job of using that to create a dark mood, the fear jumps are few but effective and the end of the first episode gives you enough interest in the story to want to keep reading for more.

I now understand that visual novels may not be for everyone, but if you have an hour to spare to try it out, then I would strongly recommend that you do so. While there isn't much content at the moment, I'm really looking forward to seeing what the developers do with all the potential they've created with tiny bunny.
