Genshin Impact player discovers a Slime painting on a cliffside in Liyue

On Reddit, a Genshin Impact fan posted what they discovered while exploring Liyue's cliffsides. Given that Liyue is home to the Geo archon Zhongli, the area has mountains, valleys, and other natural features. They offer the developers a great opportunity to hide easter eggs and teasers. Whether it be for lore, characters, future events, or even something else. One such easter egg painting was discovered by a Genshin Impact player on a cliff in the Liyue area.

The gamer disclosed a fascinating easter egg that they discovered when exploring the Liyue cliffs in a post by Reddit user u/Asaurus1. In the picture, the cliff's face has what appears to be a painting of slime engraved into it. The image of the slime may be seen directly below the character in the player's photo. And based on the color, it is either a Cryo slime, which is often found around the dragon spine mountain separating the two zones, or anemo slime, which are both highly common in the nearby region of Mondstadt. This does not, however, provide an explanation for the nature of the painting or the significance of Hoyoverse's placement.

There is currently a pretty compelling theory in the comments of the Reddit thread by user u/raccoonjudas. They claimed that only a few HoYoverse symbols may have been painted on a few of the cliffs. It serves as a watermark in an effort to stop people from stealing game assets for their own games. When they do this, it is also made clearer that HoYoverse can more readily take legal action. Other users so far appear to concur with this notion, and some have discovered other watermark emblems in other places including Springvale and the Dawn Winery.
