  Takes a lot of inspiration from TheHunter: Primal (abandoned game that had loads of potential) and mixes it with the devs own ideas - furthering the value of gameplay. The game is a work in progress; however, for the price point, I'd say is worth it. When I first got the game, I couldn't get into it very much and just recently picked it back up. It is evident that the devs have, indeed put loads of effort into their product, as I found myself able to get into the gameplay with ease this time around. Loads of updates, a good and seemingly growing dinosaur species count, weapon & equipment variety, and other miscellaneous details (i.e. special locations, hud, etc.) have made it very clear to me that this is going to be the game that TheHunter: Primal should have always been and its player base hoped it would be. If you are looking for a good hunting / survival / dinosaur / open-world game that will not break the bank, then I would recommend giving Prehistoric Hunt a go, especially at its current price point.

  Okay so the game is early access and you can tell. The rag doll physics are jank as hell but they are going to be updated at some point. The in game models range from okay too pretty bad. The dinosaurs are very basic some look better than others. Please for the love of god change the Tyrannosaurus model. Its a bad looking Jurassic park stock model and it looks terrible. There are so many more accurate and just overall better looking depictions for Tyrannosaurus. The trees and foliage is okay but could be improved. They also look very basic and stock model at times. The animations for the dinosaurs need work also. Hopefully in a year or so this game could be great but right now it has some problems. All of that being said the game does have its positives. The game is pretty addicting. It has a good atmosphere and moving through the forest in the dark and rain is an immersive experience especially when there are predators around and you can hear them. The weapons have some nice sound effects and are fun to use. When compared to Carnivores Reborn or the latest re release of the Carnivores hd reboot games Prehistoric hunt has more content and deeper game play. Overall I would say currently Prehistoric hunt is a slighter better experience compared to the Carnivores hd games. There could be a great game here it has alot of potential it just needs more time and work. If you enjoy dinosaurs and like fps hunting games deffo check it out and maybe join the discord and send the developers some suggestions to what you want to see in the game in the future.

  This games is extremely glitchy. It can be fun and have some moderate potential but I keep getting booted from the game. This is not just a one time thing but happens often. It is very irritating especially when it happens while you are shooting. Dont pay the $17.99 that they ask for, wait for it to go on a deep sale if you are interested in buying.

  Very much yes do I recommend this game! Very realistic hunting mechanics, plus integrated predator/prey interactions makes for some good challenge. Best played with your friends. Just a handful of things I'd like to see tweaked would be updating some of the dinosaur models to be more scientifically accurate, so as to not make them too Jurassic Parky design wise, like the Tyrannosaurus rex and Utahraptors especially. It is a difficult game to get into initially, but once you've successfully bagged your first sets of dinosaurs and get familiar with placing accurate shots to drop them quicker for that higher integrity score, then it sort of does become easier. I look forward to seeing additional dinosaur species to hunt, continued additions/tweaking of dinosaur behaviors and of course new weapons/equipment.

  All the reviews, videos and screen shots made this game sound like it was much more than it is. Its simply a poorly executed and built game... walk to circle, shoot one of a few dino models that either run or attack when engaged, kill. repeat. It's not a game as much as a chore, its not fun, and its not a product that should be sold in good faith in its current state.

  PROS: Good idea. Simple. Good looking dinosaur models. Decent variation and amount of content. Finally a trophy room where you can place and position your own trophy stands. Multiplayer networking seems pretty solid. CONS: EVERYTHING ELSE No fast travel unless you're already at a fast travel point, and death and logging in places you randomly on the map. Stamina bar. God I hate stamina bars. As expected, it adds even more to the time it takes to travel. Because of the two points of above, plus the giant map, playing with friends is basically impossible as there's no way to get to eachother. The graphics look like they're were ripped from entirely different art styles. No way to skip hella-dark night, and no night vision to deal with it (just a crappy short range flash light). Tracking system is crap. Hitting vital organs doesn't actually guarantee a kill (then it's not VITAL, is it?) Most dinosaurs take several hits to kill, no matter where you hit them. And bleeding out isn't a thing. Hardly any feedback indicating if a dino is onto your presence, making stealth pretty much pointless. Active missions are deleted when you log off so you're forced to complete them first or lose your progress. Active missions randomly delete anyway for no reason. Was about to finish one after an hour and it just disappeared. Dying drops most of your shit on the ground, forcing you to run all the way to where you died to get it back. Idk why the dev thought this was necessary. No way to fend off or escape an attack once attacked by a dino. Seemingly no way to avoid getting attacked other than being extremely far away when you shoot. I'll find a nice hiding spot, max stealth, and shoot a dino 50-150m away and half the time they still run towards me and know exactly where I am, and attack and kill me unless I spam shots at them fucking up the trophy to kill them before they kill me. No explanation of what to hit for trophy integrity. Been keeping an eye out for a decent dinosaur hunting game for years, and so far the best is still carnivores, which lacks content. This has some of the cool features Ive wanted (simple, rng contract missions system, customizable trophy room, skins of different rarities, etc.), but it's so crappily put together it feels like some college students final project. Which if that's what it is, i'd be impressed. But as it is for a game they're charging money for, it's a complete rip off. I'd like to think there's potential here but honestly so many fundamental aspects are just bad I don't think this is going to go anywhere. As of writing this, their last news update was about adding content rather than fixing anything. How this has mostly positive reviews is beyond me. There's never any one playing, at most I'll see a single game with 1 person in it. Once a third person joined. There's a reason no ones playing this. It's just bad and broken. Not fun, everything feels like a chore. The biggest problem is the inability to fast travel from anywhere.

  I really enjoy the game, looks great, runs great. I would really like to have the option to turn aim toggle off. I prefer to hold aim and release but other than that I'm addicted.
