  Let's be honest, most of you are here because you love Slay The Spire and you are looking for another game that can scratch that itch. WELL LOOK NO FURTHER. TL;DR... this game is AWESOME and it is well worth the money. If you want details, keep reading. This game takes the STS formula and multiplies it by 10. Now, a lot of games claim to do that but they get so lost in their own mechanics it just feels like a different game. Which is fine. This game however is the exact STS formula but improved in every way. Because you are already familiar with STS, you will feel right at home diving into this game. I'm going to do a quick pros/cons, please be aware these are direct comparison to STS. Pros -- 1) Where STS gives you 4 unique characters, this game gives you 16 if I counted correctly. Yes, each with their own decks and dynamics, just like STS. So a LOT more character variation which adds tons of strategic options. 2) Characters also have different skins you can unlock, giving a light bit of customization to the experience. 3) Card affects are explained just like in STS. Just hover over the card, it tells you what the card does, and includes descriptions of any special modifiers or effects. In some other STS inspired games, the card UI is so terrible it takes away from the enjoyment. Not in this game. You won't get confused in the mechanics. 4) In STS you have a 3 tier ladder with unique bosses at the end. Same here. The difference with this game is, it has multiple worlds. Each with unique enemies and dynamics. And each world has multiple difficulty levels. So the gameplay is expanded greatly in this game. I am 40 hours in as of this writing and I have unlocked maybe 20% of what I can and haven't even played every world yet. 5) FREAKING PIRATES YO! YARRRRRRRR!!!! Cons -- 1) STS has better graphics. Hopefully there will be updates to this game to improve on that in the future. This game is really more about your strategy playing, which is excellent and super fun. But if you are expecting eye candy as far as battle animations, you will be disappointed. I understand with the vast array of characters, worlds, and enemies this game offers, that may have had to take a back seat in development. But it is worth mentioning, and improving on this would elevate this game to one of the best in the genre. 2) The main hud can be a little confusing going in. Fear not, this is a minor annoyance, and after playing for awhile you will get used to it and things will make more sense. But I feel like the hud design could use some minor improvements. Which if the devs read this, I would be happy to elaborate on. All of that out of the way, I freaking LOVE this game. It's addicting, there is a ton to unlock and explore, and it is very very fun. Great job to the devs and I hope this game will do well enough for you that you can continue making great games, because gameplay wise this is one of the best in this genre I have encountered. In many ways, superior to STS, and deserves to be in the conversation when ANYBODY discusses these types of games. Thanks for reading gamers, cheers.

  My first impressions of this game were that it was too simple. There's no saving cards in your hand for the next turn, there's only one buff/debuff allowed at a time. I actually refunded it the first time, but then decided to give it another try because I did really like the art style and the pirate setting. My first impressions were very wrong. This game is complex, and you have to actively work at managing all resources (including your buffs/debuff and any "curse" cards), particularly for certain heroes you may play as. There is a fair RNG element to the game in which loot you get and which bosses you encounter, but I find that it gives it a challenge, and the game gives you ways to prune decks or items as you progress. I like the Slay the Spire format, and I love the pirate theme. Worth the money! PS, excellent on steam deck!

  Easily a TOP TIER deck builder roguelike. A ton of replayability. Its Slay the Spire with more characters to play as, more worlds, and more PIRATE!! I have bought this game twice for Steam and Iphone. Steam alone I have 3x the playtime of Slay the Spire.

  I mean, it's fine. It's super RNG heavy due to the Ammo mechanic and a lot of 50% tohit/tomiss mechanics which can cause some annoying run-enders, but the visuals are cute and there's a lot to unlock (though it's a deep slog) with enough variety. Worth playing, a bit overpriced for the value at full price ($19.99). Definitely feels like the iOS port that it is which also adds to a semi-clunky interface.

  This game came out on mobile a while back, and I've loved the mobile version. I've unlocked mostly everything in the mobile version, along with all but 2 achievements, and really don't get tired of it. It ties in the randomness factor of a dice-rolling game into something with strategy and pattern recognition when playing with the AI. Recognizing moments when not attacking is the best option, and when not defending is the best call makes each playthrough of the game slightly unique from the last time. The different characters to choose from have different pros and cons to them, with some having a higher curve than others. It's what I would consider to be a well-rounded game, and one that I've assisted with finding and reporting bugs on. The Development group seems quite responsive to bugs and feedback from players, and I would recommend it to people that are looking for a game that you can putter away at, put away, and pick up again later right from where you left off. Experiences can range from 20 minutes for a map to 60-120 minutes for the arena mode. The drive to unlock more cards and then play again with anticipation of using the newly unlocked cards gives some enthusiasm to play it repeatedly. And even after unlocking all the cards and relics, trying to get just the right combo of cards to try something crazy out is a fun time. I would recommend this game to anyone with a Desktop or mobile platform to play it on. You will have frustrating moments that will make you rage quit the game for a bit, but you will likely come back to it, eager to try something new. The game isn't perfect, but that doesn't mean it's not approaching perfection. 7 stacks of injury out of 7 for this game.

  Really enjoyable card game, it's not frustratingly difficult like most others in the genre. I was very pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it alot for the first few hours. However, there are some rather silly design decisions that sour the experience. You can only have one buff/debuff at a time. That means that if you buff your character with Dodge, the first enemy can still hit you with a debuff that overwrites your Dodge, and that leaves the 2nd and 3rd enemy free to mollywhop you. I'm also having a hard time understanding the choice to make Dodge and Blind only 50%. Play as the Sword Master where dodging is your main defense, the fact that it only works half the time if you're lucky, makes for a rather aggravating experience. I'd rather strategize my way to winning, rather than praying RNG doesn't kick me in the nuts. Edit: Gave the game another try, and actually had quite a bit of fun - was considering changing my review despite the crap that is the Buff/Debuff mechanic... Untill I came upon the Sentinel boss-fight. What's the point of something that can only be won by building your deck a very specific way, and on top of that, only with certain champions.

  3 STARS. Fun roguelite deckbuilder. A LOT of things to unlock and until you do the gameplay can get a bit stale. Overall, a nice take on the deck builder genre. Instead of energy to pick from, you have to use reload cards. But not all cards use up your ammo, so you do get a sense of combat. However, there is not the ability to have a completely broken run due to the limited synergies between cards and relics.
