  I get tripped up all the time, because this game uses American spelling. Any word games in the English language should either give a warning that the spelling is American, or have the option to choose between English and American.

  Do not waste your money. This was clearly meant for mobile, it's entirely too long but also painfully simplistic and honestly just not fun. Spend on something else, your money is worth more than this game.

  Not at all the game I was hoping for. After playing 60 levels of tutorial-on-rails (with no ability to skip ahead!), I've given up. I was thinking this would be a game more like the daily Squaredle puzzle (a grid of letters where you find as many words as you can), but after 60 levels it was still giving me tiny "grids" with only one valid answer. It's not at all like playing LYNE, despite what other reviews say - LYNE allows any valid path that connects everything, and doesn't require you to give one specific answer. Maybe for someone who had never played this kind of puzzle before, this would be a gentle (and very, VERY slow-paced) introduction to the basic concept. But for me, it was excruciatingly boring and I regret buying it. If the game allowed skipping to later levels, I could see if it ever gets more interesting, but it does not unlock a level until all 20 of the puzzles in the previous level have been completed.

  This game wont count to your 100% achievements count, so don't waste your time like i did *facepalm* I'll be sure to look for "Profile Features Limited" next time. But if you playing it for fun, go ahead, i suppose its cool.

  721 words. That is enough to cover 90% of conversations in English. Unscramble those words in Mini Words - a unique mix of puzzle, word search and hangman.

  [quote]For more puzzle game reviews, news and everything puzzle-related, follow [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/25928931-Puzzle-Lovers/]Puzzle Lovers[/url] and check out our [url=http://steamcommunity.com/groups/puzzlelovers]Steam group[/url].[/quote] [i]april 2020 edit: 10 more level packs got added, 200 new levels altogether, so I edited relevant parts of the review.[/i] words are fun, games are fun, ergo word games are fun, but there aren't many worthy of attention on steam, unfortunately. in [b]mini words[/b] you have to find a number of words among a bunch of letters to complete each level. at first, you'll only be looking for one, and five per level by the end. it plays very similarly to the excellent [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/266010/]lyne[/url], only with words, and of course it resembles all the word games ever on mobile. its sort of unique selling point is definitely the [b]parts of speech displayed next to the words, with optional descriptions[/b], adding some rarely seen and always appreciated [b]educational value[/b]. too bad some of the descriptions have typos, not a good sign in a word game. after the april 2020 update [b]there are 26 level packs (used to be 16) that hold 20 levels each[/b]. only one pack is unlocked at a time, but the levels are all available at once and can be done in any order. keep the mouse button pressed until you finish creating the words by moving horizontally, vertically or diagonally, but you can (and often have to) go back and forth to make longer words than the number of letters on the screen (e.g. using 't', 'e' and 'x' you can create text by using 't' twice), but you [b]have to use all the letters at least once[/b]. there's an [b]optional hint system[/b] with 3 settings: easy has the hint button enabled immediately, click on it to get a description of the word you're looking for, and on medium and hard it takes longer for it to appear. you can change this at any time, but for an extra challenge, turn tips off and try to find all the words without using definitions. this resets progress though. it's kinda like 'ironman mode' in other games, which I always thought completely pointless, just don't use hints if you don't want to. there's [b]no timer or mistake counter[/b] or anything, so it's all very relaxing and relatively easy, but difficulty will vary on your vocabulary. achievements are hidden, but of course you can check them on the store page, though that won't tell you what they are for either. 16 for the level packs, another for completing the game, and one more for completing it in no hints mode. [b]the presentation is just about acceptable[/b], even for a minimalist title based on words. simplistic looks, no music, only a few sound effects, but there is a volume slider. no resolution options or windowed mode per se, but you can resize the game window to various percentages, 100% being full screen, it's good enough. [b]some color combinations make it hard to see what's been done already[/b], most of the time it's not an issue though. I love word games, and as I said, this has additional educational value and it certainly isn't overpriced or frustrating, but it's not as polished and pleasant-looking as it could be. still recommended, takes several hours to complete based on your vocabulary and use of hints, but check out the [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/25928931-Puzzle-Lovers/list/49129/]puzzle lovers word games list[/url] for more titles in the genre.
