  The fun animations and creative levels make this a surprisingly challenging and fun game. Plus, with the original music that makes up the soundtrack, you're always surprised by the next level. A very creative and unique take on rhythm games. some of the levels seem easy, but are actually a little harder to get the hang of, which makes the experience that much more exciting. Great game!

  This game is highly recommended if you like to play games before bed because this game is a rhythm game that isnt very hard to learn and at the end it mushes all the levels together into one to show you how far you come in your game journey. Very good game and wish they had a dlc

  I think this game's amazing, but it's not for everyone, so here's a rundown of things you'll want to consider: This is basically just a Rhythm Heaven game. Sets of 4 minigames that lead into a remix which combines them all into a single song. If you like Rhythm Heaven, you'll like this. It's arguably not as hard as Rhythm Heaven (definitely not as hard as the challenge train, thank god), and it doesn't have as much visual variety, but it's basically the same otherwise. I'm not usually one for comparing games, but it's pretty clear to me that this is what they were going for. The game is short. That's because they've cut all the fat: every minigame is fun, every song is a bop and there's nothing else that gets in the way of enjoying those two things. That also means that, if you beat all the levels first try (which isn't too hard, even without accessibility options), the game's about an hour long. You can perfect all the levels and their hard mode versions, which'll tack on a couple more hours (wildly varying by skill level), but the main content is the game is short and sweet. There are plans for "fun new twists on existing levels" in future updates, but it's unclear what these are or how much they'll add. There would be custom levels to add more content, but... The level editor isn't very good... yet. It only allows for editing the vanilla tracks, has no way to preview the song or start from halfway through, has no way to export created levels and has limited/finnicky cues. For example, the cues in Desires have a set time between picking up and dropping (either 1 beat or 5 beats), and cannot be manually adjusted. However, there are plans to update the game to add custom music support and to allow for making remixes: I can only hope that these updates will also flesh out the editor to make it more user-friendly. The story is minimal. Most of the story/conflict is implied through the subject of every minigame, as well as short intro and outro sequences between each chapter/remix. What's there is pretty good, but don't go in expecting a story-heavy game: it's a rhythm game first and foremost, and it's better for it. Otherwise, the game's basically perfect! It has a clear focus and vision and succeeds with flying (pastel) colours; the dev team should be proud of how well it turned out. oh and add V-Sync please, it's driving me nuts not having it

  After fully completing the game 3 ring and starring all levels I have a quite a few things to say. Overall the game is probably the best rhythm game I have ever played (over 20+ rhythm games played: thumper, osu, beatsaber, rockband, rhythm heaven, just dance, necromancer etc). With a previous gaming background of more competitive scene games like league of legends, CSGO, Valorant, and old call of duty (MW, BO era), this brought back those feelings of joy where I could play for hours at a time. Unfortunately the new games do not provide that for me anymore (new mario games, pokemon, call of duty, etc) The music and animations work perfectly with the music, and you can tell the developer took their time to choose sound effects, music, and animations that would match the overall vibe of Melatonin. The levels are well made, and satisfying to play, I found myself never really frustrated (when calibrated properly which I will get into), and just found myself fully immersed in the game. I have been phasing out of gaming, but this game brought back those good memories and feelings of wanting to fully complete a map or a game no matter how long it takes. TLDR: The art is wonderful, music chosen well, everything was done with a purpose, and I haven't enjoyed a game this much since Covid-19 (last one was probably Celeste) 9.5/10

  i thought it is overpriced eventhough its good, but it am wrong, all ascpects in the game are well made with high quality. special thanks to accessibility setting, very thoughtful for players. and it runs perfeclty in steam deck
