  This is SO good. This update has EVERYTHING I've wanted in this game. It's so more interactive with the home owners you're fixing the house for and I absolutely love the before/after portfolio feature. You guys really did such an amazing job with the dlc release. I definitely cannot wait to see how the game advances from here.

  Pros: -New houses to explore and work with -More jobs which is something the base game really needed improvement on(I'd prefer it to have endless jobs) -Cool map of the new houses, this is more just something I think looks nice -New furniture and items Cons: -The whole map isn't usable, like really guys what is the point if I can't renovate every house on that map -HGTV NPCs, I just don't like them and could do without those two staring at me while I read the choices -I can't mow the grass on these jobs, but I can pick the weeds by hand Only thing I'd like to be changed is to let me renovate all the houses on the map. Why show them if I can't do anything with those. The last time I played was a few months ago so if updates were made since then to change some things or make some improvements I have not seen those yet. If you like House Flipper I would recommend you get this to extend out the world of flipping.

  Honestly pretty disappointed by this DLC. The content of this DLC feels somewhat minimal and rather half-assed. The entire time I played through the HGTV jobs I couldn't help but feel like this DLC was rushed for the sake of having an HGTV branded DLC out asap. Almost every single room that required the walls to be painted or tiled a specific amount didn't require the correct amount of painting/tiling, so you'd be left with quite a few unpainted/untiled sections if you did just what the job asked and/or tried to remain within budget. Some rooms that require refurnishing don't take the size of the room into consideration. it goes from "Hey we need this bathroom remodeled, it's barely big enough for a sink and a toilet but we need you to cram a shower and a chandelier that is so big you can't even walk underneath it" to "This room could easily fit an entire house worth of furniture but we really just need one bathtub that has to be placed in one specific spot, two small sinks and one tiny toilet, nothing else". There's also that one "hidden" basement that you have to fill with some of the largest furniture in the game which makes no sense if you take into consideration the space people would need. In addition to not fixing any of the bugs or quality issues from the original game (which are unfortunately too common), this DLC adds a nice new bunch of bugs to make the experience even more enjoyable. There are some new features that could have been explored and/or used further, such as the broken pipe you may encounter during one of the new jobs. Those features are used exactly once and never again. It's not ALL bad, obviously. But taking those things in consideration, I can't recommend paying $10 for this. I didn't expect much, but I expected more than this. Especially quality-wise.

  Really enjoyed the DLC, was able to get it for around £5.80 as Steam gave a discount to "complete the bundle". I love this game and this really upgraded the experience! I have just finished the last house so a quick pro and con: Pros: - way more immersive (points below) - love the decision making which can bundle with the immersive point but it needs it's separate one imo because it's great and shapes how much of the budget you use - other interactions such as "this person has found out they're pregnant" which can change the layout of the house in the middle of the job - loads of new stuff added! I mean loads! - Love the portfolio at the end! - Houses look way better than the "originals" Cons: - Found it pretty short but with the amount added and the price I wouldn't really say this is a con as such, I just love the game and would love more content like this (so take that as both a positive and negative haha) - Still found it buggy when installing showers/baths etc. like trying to put a shower in and when it zooms out you can't see as there's a wall in the way resulting in either not putting the shower in or knocking the wall down to rebuild. - Maybe I'm just thick but you don't know how a certain bath/shower/sink will fit until after you've installed plumbing and gone to buy the object/bought it. I found on 2 occasions where I'd stuck some plumbing and then the specific object the person wanted would look weird/not fit (but others would) and simply during the "missions" let's say you're on a budget so installing, uninstalling and then reinstalling plumbing can add up! Overall, buy this! It's fantastic, new achievements, immersive, beautiful new objects and is an amazingly low price for what it is.

  I'm not sure how to exactly review this, because I do recommend it but at the same time? I don't. Not at this price, at least. Let's get into it: I completed this DLC in 2 hours after waiting for what felt like forever after the announcement of said DLC. It's cute, it adds some nice new decor that is definitely fitting for Massachusetts style houses that this DLC supplies you with. The houses are great, I love the style of looking at them from a map when doing the jobs, but.. Sadly, this DLC is also lacking. I waited for this content for quite some time and was hyped up, happy to finally interact with NPCs in a way instead of getting nagged at by the buyers on the side of the screen. but like others have mentioned. The game.. doesn't take into account itself in a way? Furniture doesn't fit in most rooms, like they want you to cram it all in there, and painting the walls, if you do it according to game instructions, then you are left with pieces of wall unpainted. Sometimes the decisions don't even make sense, or there's "hidden" things like finding a safe in one house or a secret basement, but it was only those two instances where you actually find something and are able to incorporate it into making decisions so.. it was exciting thinking that I'd get to see more of that but after completing all the jobs it was only those two. Bummer :( Especially coming from the huge historical side of things in Massachusetts. Another thing is how you got this whole map with houses and interesting things (the house with all the police cars in front of it) but there's very little to do, you can just speed through the houses and tedious jobs/decisions where you're basically piling things in one room, then you can actually buy the houses and do it your way. But it feels like everything was half done, and I was definitely hoping there would at least be some kind of incorporation of the Garden DLC for those who bought it too. One feature I did fall in love with is the portfolio and before/after pictures, I don't know if that's something the DLC added but I love seeing it because sometimes I do take a few IRL days to complete one house before I sell it. All in all. I recommend it if you want some cute new decor and beach themes along with a few new houses and a cool yet short mini..campaign thing, but I don't recommend the price.   I am very proud to be one of the first people to play this DLC, I got it right when it came out. I like the improved animations and graphics. There are new mounts and utilities. This DLC is WAY better than garden flipper which they should fix because it is very buggy. I also like the beachside view. One mechanic I do not like is the map scrolling for houses. I would like to option to click and drag. Thanks!

  It doesn't really add much to the game, unfortunately. Yes, new homes, yay. But nothing really substantial. Also tied to HGTV which is under scrutiny for scamming.

  The new furniture is nice enough, but the added game play is terrible. Each house you have to work on requires you to use the exact items and layout that the level designer chose. You are very limited in design choices and sometimes the ones you are forced into look really stupid, honestly.

  I really wish these reviewes came with more options than recommend and not recommend because I dont know where I stand with this DLC. It sounded great in practice but the more I get into these renovations I cant help but feel restricted and as if the renovations were kind of thrown together at last second. Why do I say that? Because most of the renovations and decorating etc dont make sense or dont match up. The game will tell you to tile 16 walls (which is a waste of money as one pack of tiles is 15) and you really have no idea what walls the game actually want you to focus on. I'd much rather have the game tell me I need to use tiles and paint but let me do it in whichever way I want rather than an obnoxious paint 50 walls prompt. Some walls will end up getting missed as well with this, as if the devlopers couldnt be bothered to count the walls in said room and had the job match up to it. This DLC also said something about feedback from buyers and people you renovate for but Ive yet to see anything with that? You only get a few past and present swipes to show you your renovation and then youre done. I really enjoy those past and present ones, however and I almost wish that was base game rather than DLC. The new map and the new houses are lovely to look at and the fact that the game gives you options makes it so that you can play through the renovations more than once, which is a plus. But the fact that things dont feel coherent makes me feel kind of meh at the thought of doing it all over again. I'd recommend this is you enjoy the base game and want some more side gigs, but if youre hoping for something more I'd gloss past it.

  apart from adding a new beach-themed neighborhood, this dlc is rather pointless. the jobs are the exact same as regular missions, except you get a few rooms where you can choose between TWO extremely restrictive shopping lists instead of being limited to one. oh, and there's a budget aside from your own money, but it's completely pointless, since you don't get payed any more if you add extra decor and the spaces usually end up way too crowded for the stuff that you are required to add in order to 100% the job. the most notable thing i gained from this dlc was more work i had to do in order to "finish" the game and thus earn the ability to re-buy houses i'd already sold. unless you really love the beach, i highly recommend NOT buying this dlc.
