Các tính năng của Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099

The Primate Observation Club is still active and stronger than ever in the year 2099. The world has become a hilariously absurd, retro-futuristic dystopia where spying is even more amusing! Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 is a digital voyeur simulator that combines narrative, investigation, surveillance, and resource management.

Life is about to get a little meta…

Do you like power? How about controlling the lives of others?

Do you like breaking rules? Does it excite you? Maybe “Rebel” is your middle name?

Do you want to be part of an exclusive group? Be someone important?

Do you want to make some money and become rich?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you’re in luck! You've been invited to join The Primate Observation Club. Live out all your heart’s desires as the newest member and if you are already in the Club, it’s time to move up the ladder.

Observe the monkeys behind cages from the comfort of your home, stash some cash with your side hustle jobs, and maybe even play the role of a divine being by manipulating the lives of your subjects. Don’t hesitate, it’s time to make 2099 your year!

A Dystopian Dreamland

It’s 2099 and alien knowledge has caused rapid advancements in technology to the point that big corporations now sponsor planets. Stripped of resources, Earth is now a wasteland and humanity has spread across the galaxy. Humans, robots, and aliens now live side by side.

Spying Is Encouraged

The MonkeyVision app helps you manage hidden cameras and monitor cages. Make observations and search the internet to learn more about each subject. Need more cameras? Pick up side jobs for money, all the while avoiding that wacky conspiracy theorist next door.

Definitely Not Feeding the Monkeys

Get to know the subjects and you might get the chance to interact with them. Hack security systems, make threatening phone calls or even put your own flavor on an unusual beverage. But then forget all those things, because that's against Club rules!

New Game, New Technology

For previous Club member alumni, you'll notice we've also added some community-requested features beyond the new game experience.

  • An OmniPal: Gone are the days of surveillance solitude. OmniPals are artificial intelligence represented by holograms that act as promoters of companies. OmniPals are another window into the outside world and may offer some other mysterious functions.

  • End Game Content: Once you've finished the game, new and exciting features such as a Fast Forwarding ability will be available. Who knows what other rewards await you!

  • A Peephole: Peepholes aren't standard equipment, but eventually you’ll be able to get one. Get a sneak peek at who's knocking on your door before deciding to open it.

I loved the first game, no, I adored it. Replayed it 10 times or so. I was so pumped for the new one so you can imagine the magnitude of my dissapointment when I got lesser game for bigger money. You see - it's the same exact game with a couple of new features. It even has the same length. And it has less stories than the first one somehow. The 2099 setting is distracting at best, not fun at all. Can't say I hated the game, no. It's allright. But if you are choosing between buying the first game or this one - buy the first and stop at that. This one does feel like a DLC to the first game. Hell, it would have been a lot better option to have just a story pack to the original, who cares about fast-forward feature when the gameplay is fun? Would have left a 'neutral' review, but Steam only allows the Good and the Bad kind, so, there's that.

I really disliked this one, especially compared to the prequel. It just feels so grindy to get clues. They seem to talk much more than in the first one but give way less opportunities to gather clues. And the clues you get rarely yield anything worthwile - It's exhausting. Let me give you an example: One camera is on a crime scene of a murder. You can click many things and you get quite a few clues early on but none of them help you in any way - You have the clues "murder" and "saturday" and I can't find an article or news report to get the name of the victim, which the Association just happens to ask you about? Come on, man. Most of the clues are just filler and do nothing. Many of those that do have search results give you explanations of the term. I do not require that, gimme more infos, let me make progress! Augh! Also, in this one the routine of the "monkeys" revolves several days now so if you miss the day you need it may be impossible to complete tasks due to the time limits. I was just so happy to see this one released and I am so bummed out :(

Worse than the previous game by far, would not recommend. Stories are grindy and boring, it feels like the game creators tried to make the game more unique and instead made it cornier and more mundane. Clues get you very little when searched compared with the previous game and it feels like you rely more on luck to match clues and progress, rather than common sense or deduction.

I'm sadly, disappointed in this one. I wanted to like it, as the original was SO SO good. I was SO looking forward to this expansion thinking it would be just as expansive as the original, but honestly, this would have been better off being a DLC. It doesn't feel like a full game. You get the same cages every time and after a point it feels insanely grueling in ways the 1st one didn't. Unless they update to include more cages/stories, I am gonna give this one a thumbs down. TLDR: Just replay the first one.

Disappointment. First game was a blast and after I finished it I just prayed for the sequel. But this one feels more like a demo or early access. There are very few cages that will often repeat every playthrough and the clues are not as fun to search like in previous game. You just end up playing the game over and over again, getting bored and waiting for something different to happen. I just wish they put at least the same effort and love to making this game like to the one before.

Like it's predecessor, your goal is to observe and collect data on an the "primates" in an increasing number of "cages". Fail to obtain enough cages by evaluation time and you're out of the club. To add to this, you must carefully monitor your health, hunger, and energy. You will also be harassed to pay an "Earth debt" every three days. It's a lot to manage while also keeping up with the number of cages and there's a delicate balance that needs to be struck. While the base mechanics are pretty much the same, I feel like the difficulty has been scaled up (this isn't a bad thing!). There is what I consider to be an "easy mode" option that makes resource management easier, but I haven't used it yet. The stories are all completely new and fresh, including alien races, egotistical celebrities, crazy conspiracy theory groups, rogue AIs, and more! I look forward to exploring all the different ways the various stories can turn out as well as snagging all these achievements as well. Pros: -Puzzle solving is excellent -Stories are well written -Characters, while simple, are still involved and make fascinating subjects -Graphics are well done -Papyrus is part of the game. How can this be a bad thing??? Cons -No number indicator pops up for health, sleep, or hunger anymore. That was a nice feature in the last game so I had a good idea of what foods to eat without over-doing it so nothing was wasted. It would be nice to bring that back (tbf, it MIGHT be in easy mode, but I haven't tried it yet). -The random nature of cages means it might be tricky to meet deadlines for certain club requests for information. While not required, they do usually turn out to be fairly lucrative, so I like to do them. -Also tricky is when cages are active at the same time. It can be tough to figure out which ones to do and when, but that's really a learning process. Overall, I highly recommend this game. It's not perfect, but it's still an amazing game. If you haven't played the first one, I recommend doing that first as there are NUMEROUS easter eggs to be seen in this game that reference the previous game and things you do in that one. While not required, it makes this sequel far more enjoyable.

I love this game, but it sort of a bummer that there are less cages here then in the original :(

It's a fun game but not as good as the first one, not as re-playable either. I think the game needs more content. The endings are a bit hard to follow too.

Once upon a time, a precious towel was sent to me by mistake, but I sold it immediately with no doubt... In this case, I have to play another 100 times, begging the robot to give me the towel randomly again. *DO NOT SELL THE TOWEL AND GO TO SLEEP IMMEDIATELY EVEN FOR ONLY 1 HOUR!!!* All achievements 34/35 in progress...

A great game spoiled by one minor detail: Let me explain DNFtM is a game about watching security cameras, aka "Cages". The concept and content are great. But there are so many Cages, that it gets overwhelming. So there is a helper feature, a motion detector. A light under each screen button flashes when it detects something happening there, as well as an audio Cue, so you can switch to there and see what's going on. In theory, this should alert you to when things have changed, or there's still something interesting to do. The problem is, this feature is poorly designed. While it DOES alert you in the above situations, it also calls your attention in two other situations: 1. Puzzles that you're done with. Many of the cages have some kind of puzzle that exists to be solved, and then there's no reason to interact with it anymore, nothing new to see. But for many of these cages, there is still stuff going on in them. Not new stuff, but the same content playing on a loop, the same events happening at certain times of the day. The motion detector still pings these, every day. 2. "Noisy cages". These are things that exist only to show you cute and interesting visuals, like the earliest one you unlock that shows a scientist using high tech lab equipment to turn various creatures and objects into food. Like the above, these run on a loop, showing you the same stuff every day. And like the above, they ping the motion detector You cannot turn it off. The net effect of this is that your motion detector is constantly pinging, and the game is constantly trying to draw your attention to things that you've already seen a dozen times before, that you have no reason to look at and no possible interaction with. This distracts you from the actual content you care about, which is not just annoying but a big issue because some of it runs on time limits. These problems only get worse as you go on and unlock more cages, including more noisy ones, and more puzzles that will ping you forever even after you complete them. IT never stops, I can't stand it, ahhhhhh There's also the side issue that on many cages the motion detector does NOT ping when something interesting changes, like cage 3 that shows you a planet being gradually terraformed, but you've gotta remember to keep checking it. That's minor though. The motion detector being constant noise makes it hard to focus on the good parts of the game. I know it seems petty, but this one, badly designed feature has single handedly ruined the game for me. I quit at about the point I unlocked my 16th cage, the constant pinging is too much. If they just gave us a button (for each cage) to permanantly deactivate its motion sensor, this review would be positive. Literally one change is all it takes. One thing that is holding this back from being a really good game But right now it is painful to play and i gave up before i finished it
