  The Game is quite fun so far, the only thing I am sad about is that I cannot remap keys, for example, I have a one handed keyboard that doesnt have the letter M on it, when I go into controls it freezes and I have to alt f4 to restart game, other than that AMAZING GAME SO FAR!!!

  I've had my eye on this game for a long time, and with good damn reason. This game has a *ton* of heart put into it, and it is the best entry to the "mascot horror" genre in a very, very long time. The one nitpick a lot of people have is the save system - hell, a lot of people drop it just because of that. However, if you can get used to it (and reach the first checkpoint), it's really not that bad. Just something you have to get used to. Resident Evil fans will be experienced with it. Apart from that, I genuinely can't think of anything truly wrong with the game. Compared to the likes of security breach and banban, it's a breath of fresh air. A game with not just a fun premise, but an actual message behind it, unlike the walking simulator, 5 chapter money hog of Poppy Playtime. Overall, I highly reccomend fans of survival horror in general to give this game a shot. You won't be disappointed. I rarely review on steam, and even I did for this, because I just had to say how happy I was that there was a mascot horror that wasn't a cashgrab sellout. Actual effort and replayability are in this game, and I can't express how much I appreciate it. My hat tips to you, developer.

  Just finished My Friendly Neighborhood and it was a truly bizarre, fun, and tense experience that wasn't what I thought it was gonna be. The Good: I think this game really works as a good intro to other survival horror games, and it deeply reminds me of many of my other favorite games (Psychonauts, Hypnospace Outlaw, and Resident Evil 1/2 principally). This game really feels like a Muppets adaptation of a resident evil/biohazard game, (complete with scary dogs and eye-centric bosses on the resi side, and the story revolving around a human protagonist/ the kind of energy that a classic Jim Henson production exudes). The Bad: I have some nitpicks, I wish that some areas were a bit brighter, puzzles a bit clearer (glares at the garden chemical mixing puzzle where I didn't know I could hold down the buttons ), but really I just wish there was more game! I really was having a blast, and was slightly disappointed by how quickly it ended. I think the price is a bit too steep for the hour count (about six hours for me but you 100% can get a shorter time if not doing side objectives), but I suppose cheat tapes push back against that a bit. The Mascot Horror: I do think, at the end of the line, this is probably my favorite mascot horror game on the market. The current state of indie horror is something many people complain about, with some critisisms being made in ernest (poppy playtime NFTs having story elements locked behind them is actually abhorrent from a moral/art perspective) and others being made just because people don't understand what a game is going for. I think MFN has a very clear vision, and some people will not like it simply because it is not as graphic, directly violent, or serious as its contemporaries. I actually think this is a really good selling point and a look at 'responsible' mascot horror that know its audience might be on the younger side, without ever talking down to that audience. TLDR: MFN is a game I can imagine cool parents introducing to kids interested in horror, as the game can effortlessly balance clever scares with kooky humor and the strangest theme of hope and kindness in an unkind scenario. also im really tired so if this is illegible call my therapist: (866) 901-2739

  don't let the "Mascot horror" thing get to ya about this, it's a mix of RE4/RE8 and Bioshock with the theming of sesame street, and it shows a lot of love and care went into it, it's worth the money
