  I highly recommend this game, although as the game dev I would make a couple steps of service changes. As someone who works as a bartender in New York City and I love my job. I would make it so that with every drink made you would have to place down a napkin in front of your customer every time. Based on greeting time is how you are also rated as a bartender. Also I don’t see mojitos in here which are a basic drink. More margaritas cosmopolitans martinis dry vs sweet vs dirty at the start because any dive bar has a lot of beer sold and margaritas mojitos old fashioneds martinis dry sweet dirty ofc you can’t forget gin tonic vodka tonic rum Coca Cola. Then go onto the sea breezes the hurricanes the more difficult recipes to remember. The difference in shaking a martini vs stirring and cool side notes. A book I would recommend that would help you learn some more and have some cool hints and tips is meehans bartender Manual. And definitely change the system in which a customer only comes when you look away. That is also problematic. I think when it’s more optimized also add the cleaning of the equipment after one drink made.

  Back in 2020 (or so), I was looking for a game similar to "Bartender: The Right Mix", that childhood flash game where you attempt to make the perfect cocktail, so I looked up Steam for a bartender game and to my surprised, I found none. I only saw this game called "Bartender Hustle" that was labelled "coming soon" so wishlisted it. After a year or so I played the demo and it's just what I was looking for. As for the review... Pros: - You can choose between story mode and many other free play modes. - Can be both relaxing and challenging by choosing the right mode and the right menu. (I almost always go for the relaxing one) - Has quite a lot of recipe (for me at least) after the update. Cons: - The text is too small, especially on 1080p of smaller size screen. The dev replied to me during the beta that a change would be implemented in the future but so far it is still small. - Sometimes freeze a bit even with a system that matches the recommended requirements, especially when I open the recipe tab or the start shift tab. Overall I would give it a 8/10. Recommended for anyone finding a bartender game.

  This game ISN'T stressful enough. Needs more pikeys asking you if you have any Rose blushes or if you sell White Zinfandel, for MAXIMUM gameplay potential.

  Have to remake drinks 2 sometimes 3 times because the ending results don't show up, which doesn't allow me to take another customer's drink, which then requires me to have to make the drink again. Game freezes when I try to go to sleep. Other than these game breaking/immersion bugs, the game is great. Please fix.

  As a cocktail enthusiast, I was really looking forward to this game. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it in its current state. First, the story mode. It is quite short (took me 3 hours to finish, without skipping any dialog). Most of the environments are completely pointless. The bars and characters are just reskins. Your home looks nice and the cat is cute but you cannot do anything except solve some (pretty vague) quiz questions to get a 10 dollar bonus. Oh, and all you can do with money in this game is buy clothes and wall paint. Unlike in Metro Sim Hustle, you have no daily life and no needs. You sleep during the day, get up at night, go to the bar and mix drinks, then you come back home and sleep. Heck, you do not even get dialog options-all you do is listen to your own character talk like in a visual novel. With no choices. Is bartending not about interacting with customers as much as serving drinks? There are attempts to spice things up (like checking IDs of young patrons, getting threatened by a wannabe mafioso etc.) but these are one-time affairs that lead to nothing. As a result the game gets repetitive and boring even during the short story mode. It is extremely formulaic, you tend the bar for three days and get promoted, rinse and repeat until there is no more bars to advance to and the credits roll. Meh. Second, the actual gameplay. The drinks are problematic to say the least. There are simply not enough of them. Many classic cocktails are either plain missing (Mojito, Pina Colada and LIT immediately come to mind) or their recipes are mind numbingly inaccurate (e.g. I sincerely hope that building an AMF in the glass without shaking or stirring is an oversight). Martinis are made with vodka and shaken by default, which IRL would need to be specially requested (gee thanks 007). Also, the "dry" martini recipe is that of a classic martini! There are no layered drinks or visual effects (for example, you simply mix the grenadine into the Tequila Sunrise). Overproof rum for igniting cocktails is also put into the shaker instead of floating it on top (the result would be very unlikely to have enough ABV to ignite, mixing with low ABV liqueurs and getting diluted by the ice in the shaker). To make matters worse, customers never make any special requests and they do not get drunk or belligerent so every drink you make is the same and every day manages to be somehow uneventful. I also dislike the fact that bottles get arbitrarily rearranged between shifts. If we had licensed names and bottles in the game this would be fine, but as it stands it is already hard enough to distinguish between a bottle of dark rum and a bottle of whiskey so you are likely to quickly become dependent on the bottle highlighting feature. All in all, this game is a great idea with some merits, but the execution is as bland as its dry martini recipe. I do hope that more features are added later because this game has great potential if it focuses more on exploring the broader life of a bartender and giving the player more freedom.

  Pretty fun way to learn mixology! I'm using this as a tool mostly to study for my bartending license, so I've been using sandbox mode instead of story/arcade/endless modes. The recipes are somewhat close to being accurate so I was surprised. Some QoL improvements I'd like to see in the future though: 1. PLEASE let me organize the well drinks and add house/top shelves. AFAIK bars usually have a 5-12 well system, and although the wells are organized in alphabetical, I still think it's kinda a clusterfuck of alcohol. So custom user organization would be nice as well as the shelves. 2. Boston Shaker > French Shaker. Periodt. 3. Obviously more drinks but I'm sure they'll add more with future updates. Overall, even in sandbox it's fun! Great tool for students or people who wants to make bartending their hobby

  Bartender Hustle gelingt es, sowohl außerordentlich relaxt als auch durchaus fordernd zu sein - ganz wie ein geglückter Old Fashioned. Hier dreht sich alles um die Cocktail-Zubereitung unter realistischen Maßgaben. Dazu finden wir uns hinter der Bar mit zahllosen authentischen Zutaten wieder, wozu über dreißig Basisspirituosen gehören, aber auch viele Säfte und Sirupe sowie etliche Fruchtdekorationen. Die umfangreiche Auswahl aus immerhin etwa neunzig mixbaren Drinks folgt den tatsächlichen Rezepten. Im relativ kurzen Story-Modus durchleben wir die steile Karriere einer jungen Bardame von der ranzigen Eckkneipe über ein gutbesuchtes Tanzlokal bis zur exquisiten Strandbar unter Palmen, wobei wir mit den Gästen vorgegebene, leider recht ideenarme Gespräche führen, bevor wir den jeweils gewünschten Drink kredenzen. Weitaus besser hat mir der Arcade-Modus gefallen, in dem wir rudimentär einen eigenen Schankraum leiten und die zufällig generierten Bestellungen der Besucher nach Zeitvorgabe und unter Einhaltung des jeweiligen Rezepts abarbeiten. Nicht nur füllt sich hierdurch das Geldkonto, auch erhöht sich die Charakterstufe, was anspruchsvollere Getränkeangebote ermöglicht. Zu lange Wartezeiten oder falsch gepanschte Drinks hingegen führen zu unzufriedenen Gästen, wodurch Finanzen und Ansehen leiden. Vor allem lohnt sich Bartender Hustle, um sich im korrekten Mixen von Cocktails zu üben. Dabei ist insbesondere der Sandbox-Modus nützlich, können wir hier doch das gewünschte Getränk individuell im Rezeptbuch auswählen. Das erworbene Know-How ermöglicht vielleicht nicht unbedingt das rezeptgerechte Shakerschwingen im Privathaushalt, da die Zutaten im heimischen Spirituosenschrank selten vollzählig vorhanden sind, es hilft jedoch beim nächsten Barbesuch dabei, eine Entscheidung zu treffen und dem Barkeeper bei der Melange der Ingredienzen kritisch auf die Finger zu schauen.

  Bartender Hustle manages to be both extraordinarily relaxed and thoroughly challenging - just like a successful Old Fashioned. Here, everything revolves around cocktail preparation under realistic standards. To this end, we find ourselves behind the bar with countless authentic ingredients, which include over thirty base spirits, but also many juices and syrups, as well as quite a few fruit decorations. The extensive selection of about ninety mixable drinks follows the actual recipes. In the relatively short story mode, we experience the steep career of a young barmaid from a rancid corner bar to a well-attended dance club to an exquisite beach bar under palm trees, where we have predefined, unfortunately rather awkward conversations with the guests before we serve the desired drinks. I liked the arcade mode much better, in which we manage our own rudimentary taproom and process the randomly generated orders of the visitors according to the time limit and in compliance with the respective recipe. Not only does this fill up the cash account, but it also increases the character level, which allows for more sophisticated drink offerings. Too long waiting times or incorrectly adulterated drinks, on the other hand, lead to dissatisfied guests, whereby finances and reputation suffer. Above all, Bartender Hustle is worthwhile to practice mixing cocktails correctly. The sandbox mode is especially useful here, as we can select the desired drink individually in the recipe book. The acquired know-how may not necessarily enable recipe-compliant shaker swinging in the private household, since the ingredients are rarely available in full in the liquor cabinet at home, but it does help to make a decision the next time you visit a bar and to keep a critical eye on the bartender's fingers concocting the drinks.

  It may be a little early in my playtime, but this game is a lot of fun. The drinks are fun to make (and look good with actual recipes); the bars feel different; the clients are interesting to speak to (and reading how they review me after our interactions is pretty interesting as well); the apartment is a nice little time sink (with some customization options and a lot of interactions); and I am constantly chasing Ninja (our faithful companion) down to see what is going on there. Plus, you can always go into sandbox or arcade mode if the story just is not your thing. Definitely recommend.
