  The game is pretty good but it's only got 5 levels. After you figure out what is going on it's about an one to one and a half hours of honest game play before you repeat levels for no reason, because you can beat the whole game with the service pistol if you wanted to. Game is pretty repetitious. Lack of many enemy types, one boss character type. The game has good mechanics and is pretty, but steer clear until they get more content unless you get it at a deep discount.

  ✨ After The Fall - A Fantastic Left 4 Dead Styled VR Game✨ I'm going to start this review off with I already have 30 hours in the game, and I have many many more to go. NO. It's nothing like a re-skinned Arizona Sunshine. Carry on 😉 Beginners Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNyjhvOSjsk Otherwise continue on to my written review. 🕹Gameplay🕹 +5 Solid missions at launch, with 2 more missions for the first part of the roadmap in the upcoming months. +6 different weapons to choose from with more also listed on the upcoming roadmap +4 Player Co-Op (doesn't require you to have friends as you can either Queue up with AI bots to complete the party, or you can randomly search for new friends via the handy dandy 80's arcade cabinet while weilding a Ninten- I mean Yukon blaster!) +4v4 PvP mode that is fun, but could definitely use some improvements. Currently 2 maps for PvP with another one in the roadmap +Randomized hordes of zombies (Snowbreed) that attack you from various directions. It changes every game so you never know for sure where they are coming from, only the general area. +Tons of gun skins for each and every weapon with fun challenging achievements needed to complete to unlock the skins +NO PAYING for skins! You can EARN your skins, your guns, everything every step of the way. The way it should be done. + 4 difficulties for each stage you play. Survivor, Veteran, Master, and Nightmare. Nightmare is insanely hard, and you lose everything you are carrying with you if you lose the "Harvest Run" (name of the matches for co-op) +You can break down and rebuild your guns fully, making them unique to you. And store and save 6 guns on your personal gun wall! +A backstory and lore that is a lot of fun the more you dig into it, with many easter eggs scattered across the levels and the social hub 🎨Graphics🎨 +PCVR graphics are mind boggling +You can tune down the graphics to compensate for older PC hardware if need be! +Using a Valve Index and a Reverb G2 v2, I can say this is by far the best graphics of a mainstream PCVR game. (Equal or better than HLA In my personal opinion.) ⛔Bad⛔ +Does this game have issues/bugs? Yeah unfortunately it has some. But it has been 1 day since official launch, I will edit this when these few bugs are fixed. +The major one for my friends and I have been losing your weapon attachments. (This can be avoided by making sure that every one in your squad is out of the gun crafting room and back into the main hub before starting the mission. This has worked 100% of the time at the moment for us until they patch this bug.) +On some parts of different maps if you walk your body the wrong way, your head will get stuck in a "blackness" which can usually be left by pressing in on your menu joystick and trying to walk away from the blackness. Besides that? There really aren't any other game breaking bugs, a few little ones here and there, but I am sure those will also be patched in the upcoming weeks! Very few VR games in my Library earn the spot of being played more than 30 hours in less than 5 days of launch.   Pretty fun co-op zombie shooter that plays well but could still use some polish and tuning. Also note that load times are on the long side so you'll want to install this to your SSD. The Good: - Great with friends. - Game mechanics and shooting all work pretty well. - Graphics are great. (Have to turn shadows down to get decent performance, though) - Zombies are very satisfying to shoot with detailed location-based damage. The Bad: - Animation framerates for everything that's not running client-side are abysmal. People in the lobby, your teammates, physics objects that your teammates mess with, etc, all run at like 2fps. The framerate of the game itself is fine, however. - The unlocks are grindy as all hell. Even basic paint jobs require hundreds to thousands of kills to unlock and the disks that you collect during missions can give you dupes (if you even find any disks). You would have to play this game for [i][b]ages[/b][/i] to unlock everything. You want a blue gun? That'll be 3000 kills with that one gun. You want blue for another gun? That'll be another 3000 kills with that other gun. You collected a rare gold disk? Too bad, it gave you a dupe item. Far, far too grindy for my taste. - The stocked rifles don't have a virtual stock. Would Be Nice: - The AI teammates aren't terrible but Jimmy loves to run back and forth in front of everyone blocking all the shots. Damn you, Jimmy! GTFO the way! They could use some slight improvement, is what I'm getting at. - When all the human players have voted at the end of the match, the timer should change to a 5s timer instead of having to wait the full amount. - A LFG system in the hub. Instead of manually recruiting people (or constantly getting invites when you aren't LFG) there could be a terminal in the hub that people can use to register as LFG and the system just automatically groups people as they register. Overall, it's one of the better co-op VR games and is definitely worth the purchase if you have people to play it with but it's by no means perfect. I hope the devs continue to polish and update it.

  Don't get me wrong I like this game. One of the BEST VR CoOp ones out there; but there are some serious issues with the launch ATM. I'm not going to compare this to Left 4 Dead, because everyone else has. Some people complain this is a Quest game downgraded for PC VR. Maybe? Maybe not. Other will say the performance is bad based on the quality of the game. Depending on what side of the fence you're on, I'm going to say that I believe most gamers out there, looking for a fast paced multiplayer VR shooter will love this game. The graphics are good, the gameplay is solid, diverse & the performance is expected out of a game of this caliber. DOZENS of hordes coming after you, big maps & 4 players unloading endless amounts of ammo per second is a sight to behold in VR. NOW..... My BIGGEST complaint with the game so far is the core....match making. When you start your game, you don't "make" a game or host lobby by default. When you choose your level it automatically puts you into an existing lobby with others that are waiting for the host to start. Most of the time the host is AFK. So you leave & choose the level again only to be put into another lobby with waiting players. That sucks. SOMETIMES, you will be the host only if there isn't another level currently running that you've selected. Also you can't chat to anyone unless they're in your party. When you finally get a good group of people to play the game with & you finish the level you vote on where to go next, but after that it disbands the players into different lobbies & you will NEVER find those players again, unless you have friended them before. There's a "player ID" system for everyone, but the game only shows yours. So it's IMPOSSIBLE to find your friend or those you just played with. Also, there no offline mode. I know you can go into the menu & select play solo. BUT you STILL have to be online for the game to operate. If you try to play in "offline" steam mode the game wont run at all. You just get authenticating sever error & have to exit the game. There should be an offline mode because not all of us have chad internet & it's hard to find good players, which this game requires. I like to play solo most of the time anyway. There's a MAJOR BUG with the game currency & the weapons you've collected disappearing when you exit the game. By that I mean you LOOSE them permanently! I've played about 5 hours & this happened to me twice now. I go back & play, find the weapon I had, quit the game & BOOM it's gone... SO FRUSTRATING!! There's no character selection or customization. But I hear the devs are working on that. Remind you I still like this & I'm not nitpicking, these are some issues that really need to be addressed especially the match making, after all it's a multiplayer game at the core. At this time I can't recommend this game with the issues at hand, loosing all your weapons, items & game currency that's just a slap in the face. The match making needs an overhaul ASAP. I don't write long reviews like this EVER, but I like to make videos on YouTube, & I hope that this reaches the devs so they can fix these problems.   I do not recommend After the Fall. The game has a decent foundation. The visuals are nice, the shooting feels good, the sound design is solid. Unfortunately Vertigo Games did not manage to build a good game on this foundation. There is about 1.5 hours of content. After that all there is to do is to grind the same missions over and over again. The missions only vary in environment. The structure is always the same and very simple, just fight wave after wave of enemies. There is only one boss that you fight in nearly every mission. The boss fight does not have any mechanics, except shoot the weak spots. The progression system is not sustainable for a longer playtime. Some features you would expect from this genre are missing completely, like character customisation or a specialist system. This would be a decent start into an Early Access phase. The game could do with one or two more years in development to add more (interesting) content and flesh out the progression system.   I have read some of the negative reviews and I'm a bit puzzled by them. So a few things before we get started: 1 - you can adjust audio, movement and game play through the in game menu, you can mute npc or players, and yourself, change movement, change how weapons are loaded or held, change holsters, and many other options. 2 - the game is fun because you are playing with other people, might not be many maps but I promise each battle is different depending on the people you are with and it gets addictive pretty fast, try a more difficult setting with seasoned players and go for the more rare upgrade disks 3 - your weapons can be customized as you progress, you can also find weapons in many maps, door card keys open rooms with free weapons, floppy disks unlock weapon upgrades like scopes and magazines, the harvest you collect allows you to purchase unlocked weapons, upgrades and skins 4 - if you are dropping weapons, again the in game menu has options that will prevent it, change your settings 5 - if you are getting stuck, set movement to instant to disable the animations, its a known bug the devs are working on There are very few VR games that are both co-op and fun, this is both of those things. You can go it alone with AI or team up with all kinds of gamers. The devs are aware of the bugs, but show me a VR game that does not have bugs. At least this one is actually fun to play. It's not a perfect game but I'm constantly drawn to it. I recommend trying it and supporting it, more content will be added and the bugs will eventually be fixed. Play it co-op, its like a party but you have to defend against zombies. If you are having issues, ask a seasoned player in game for help, just another advantage of it being a co-op game.
