  This game was awesome when it came out, the balance was good, the weapon did everything you could want. those were the good days, I could switch from defense to offense to sniping, all with a single gun. There was never a situation that you could blame anything but yourself for your death. The future was bright and I thought that this could very well be the next counter-strike in terms of e-sports. BUT, then came the firepower DLC, free DLC that took AWAY the gun that we loved, with no way to bring it back. Now you had to choose your role before spawning and once chosen all other roles would be out of the question. The community cried and begged the developers: "Please give us back our old gun, well do anything. give us back the old version you don't even have to maintain it." but the developers said: "No, we do not want to fracture the community." The community struggled a little longer trying to get back the game they loved. But eventually everyone just gave up. And that is how future-mark killed this once so awesome game. Well, they tried to save it in their own way, bots were to combat the draining servers. But it was not enough, all we wanted was the game we once paid for, the one that was awesome. But now i have a simple cod rip-off in space, and not a very good one at that. I hope they learned from this experience to never fundamentally change game-play in a published game. But I know that I don't care what they release next. I don't trust future mark any more.

  Alas, what could have been really never was. Like the perfect sunset it was here but a fleeting moment and then it was gone. Farewell sweet prince.

  Notice: At the request of the publisher, Shattered Horizon is no longer available for sale on Steam. At least the store page is still up. I've owned this game for many years. Hard a hard time finding people that played, not just owned the game. The space view looks great to me, even on an older system. Much better now with my newer one. Played against bots most of my time in game. Servers are gone now yet, some still try to keep one running but, it's only running on scheduled times. It just need dedicated servers and players.

  This game was good before it was updated with tons of (free) DLCs. Nowadays it is an imabalced DM game with the no gravity concept, bloomy textures and empty deserted servers filled with bots. The game was good and fun when it came out? Yes. Would I recomend it right no? No.
