  Not enough to do and it feels impossible to lose. It doesn't feel like a game when all you do is wait for your silver count to go up and then snooze until the next cycle.

  Dev seems to be active with the community on all questions and issues. Game overall in current state is good from the amount of time I have had to put into it just lately. Looking forward to the continued growth and improvements.

  To start off, remember, this is a project by one guy. Don't expect massive updates and a ton of content. With that said, this is a great game. It's like Guild 2 without the bugs and a little less content. And it's reasonably priced for what you get.

  Sweat drips down my brow as I lug my heavy pack into town full of meat and skins to trade. I sidestepped a large smelly puddle in the road, causing a nearby carter to curse me out. I cheerfully waved back, and darted down a sidealley shortcut into the town market. My passage into the main market square greets me with a wall of sound and smells. I head into the butcher section, where burly Olaf grins at me as I walk up, ready to haggle for my wares. My silver purse much plumper than earlier this morning, I stop at the Alehouse to grab a couple meat pasties for my trek back home my little hovel in Barrowham. It's not much but bought it myself with my earnings as a hunter. Someday, I hope to be a real businesswoman and own my butchershop. Someday, MY children will inherit far more than the nothing I did from my drunkard father. Someday.

  ive been playing this game for close to 5 years on and off and what a journey it has been. the game 5 years ago looked so different from today but in a good way. During other games that are in EA there are usually updates that Im not a fan of, But saelig every update is appreciated and enjoyable. A few years back I mentioned a issue about sickness with longer day setting, this guy almost instantly replies asking for details to make the system better and not even a day later a hot fix comes. Atorcoppe your awesome man, and your engagement with the community does not go un noticed. sorry if there are grammar errors in here, wife and i had some drinks while having a board game night And I hope marriage is doing well for you

  Really fun so far, developer is very responsive. So far this game reminds me of The Guild 2 and thats a great thing! Im sure most of us who are interested in this game probably came because of that. Don't misread this though, this game is a lot more unique and is far from a copy. Though it is slightly buggy the game so far has been really fun and I can't wait to see where this goes! Good luck to you Stardog Edit: For those of you wondering why my time is so little, its not :P Internet company had a power outage over the past day and a half but I have been playing this game for well over 9 hours now!

  I bought Saelig because it's a spiritual successor to The Guild 2 which I loved years ago. There's a good framework here for a game that could eventually be great, but right now there's not a whole lot to do. What is there is good, the basics of The Guild style trade, production, and dynasty mechanics are in place but need a lot of fleshing out. I will keep my eye on this as it develops. I'd also like to mention I love the choice of setting, not enough Dark Ages strategy games, especially ones set in Danelaw era England. I will come back to Saelig specifically for this, even with The Guild 3 on the horizon.

  As someone who (perhaps foolishly but it's honestly the only game I've been that excited about in a while) pre-ordered Guild 3 and have been waiting for it for nearly two years now, I am so excited to see this game! It's pretty far along already and a fun experience, and I'm excited to see where it goes. You can jump right into playing a character, building a business and trading. There's a lot that I either haven't figured out how to do yet, or that isn't yet implemented, but definitely worth jumping in if you're a big Guild fan and can handle the Early Access maddness.

  Really enjoying this game so far, got married when I was 19 to a 44 year old the same year I met her and had a kid, now we share our belongings and wealth lel. Really want to go to sleep but can't stop playing lol, this game has a lot of content especially considering it is early access and is being made by a single person. Update: Some bitch just started talking to my wife so I burned down his house

  Are you tired of being the chosen one? Are the pressures of Kingship proving to be more work than you thought? Have you ever wondered about the lives of the npcs in the games you are playing? If so, then this might be just the sort of thing you've been looking for. I'm the kind of guy who wonders about that woodcutter swinging his axe at that same log, every day, rain or shine. Instead of riding past him on my magical, fire-breathing destrier, I now get to be that guy! This game reminds me of what I love most about history: the little details that are important to little people. I love worrying about the cost of ale, or how I'm going to find enough fruit in the winter time to make some for myself. This is an exerpt from a forum comment that I figured should be in a review, "So, I've done a couple of playthroughs now. The first was learning what not to do, the second is a raging success. This game is a wonderful breath of fresh air. I've spent many hours playing other games like Skyrim or Mount & Blade, etc. trying to be a normal person who works for a living. After over fifty hours in Saelig, I haven't even seen a weapon yet. The very idea that we can play a regular human being during such a fascinating time in history, is actually a fantastic learning opportunity. This is how history will be taught someday, I do believe this...but, we are a long, long way away from that day. This is an impressive step in the right direction however."
