  SPOILERS AHEAD! I feel as if I need to leave a review for Chongqing because someone needs to. Even though this level comes bundled, I need some way of expressing my anger towards this joke of a wannabe Sapienza. Spoilers ahead. This level should be hypothetically, one of the best! The issue is, it's built taller rather than wide. The level is separated into three main places; with everything else being just an afterthought. Sapienza has two central squares. Chongqing has one street and three or so pathways. It is not an open town. It is three fortresses separated by one or two narrow streets. The actual places themselves are poor. There is an underground base, a homeless prison, and another weird apartment building. There's also a watchtower, but this is practically irrelevant. The places themselves have their own quirky little system of disguises getting you into higher tiers, like everything else in the game. The targets themselves are surprisingly compelling. Hush is crazy and experiments on people living on the streets before testing them and wiping their memories clean like a psycho. You genuinely want to rip his throat out when you see him brainwash some guy in front of you. The other one, who is so one dimensional I literally have forgotten her name, is just like any other target. Boss lady, blah blah blah, kill her to get the data. Did I talk about the data? Well at least the lab is unique. There is an intricate series of ventilation networks that can be used to infiltrate and locate the data only with the right access keys and your camera, which is done in an entertaining way. However, this is mostly defeated with a screwdriver. Not sure how this could be fixed. The actual lab itself is like any other fortress. In conclusion, I hated Chongqing. It was one of the better levels of Hitman 3, but nothing compared to the first two games in the trilogy. It feels tall rather than wide, being a limiting husk of what Hitman levels were previously all about. I had such high expectations for this particular level, and from me writing this it's clear it struck a nerve. Go on with your day, and be happy now. Buy the other two games. Maybe get Hitman 3 if you want additional levels.

  This level can eat my asshole with a spoon. What is the fucking point of giving us a disposable keycard hacker unlockable item in the mastery if the entire goddamn level has doors ONLY unlockable with passwords or by "camera hacking" by finding special "dongs" in the level with hacking clearance. Not only this, the whole level is cyberpunk aesthetics and yet there's not a single futuristic unlock in the mastery, and not a single unlockable item from challenges unless you have the deluxe edition DLC. Why the fuck no, Berlin and Dartmoor had several items unlockable from challenges. This level has terrible replayability due to its awful mastery rewards and no items unlockable from challenges, and in general it's just a pain to get around. The only redeeming feature is that the aesthetics are pretty and the incredibly and annoying objective of going down into the lab to do the boring ass disabling of the network thingie becomes optional on the second playthrough.
