Shattered Heaven Возможности

Shattered Heaven combines card games and roguelikes to make a single-player deck builder with RPG elements, dungeon crawling, and a multi-branch narrative structure.

Shattered Heaven focuses on a card game/roguelike gameplay fueled by a great replay value, thanks to procedural dungeons, a deep crafting system, and a gripping narrative influenced by players’ choices.

The game features a unique 2d cartoon style, with dark fantasy and Lovecraftian flavor, and an epic soundtrack with opera singers.

  • Dynamic Deckbuilding – Build your starting decks (three of them, one for each of your heroes) as you wish and customize them by drafting new ones during each run, for an ever different experience.

  • Tactical RPG Fights – Slay epic monsters in procedurally generated dungeons and loot valuable treasures! Improve your equipment and enhance your strategy thanks to a deep Skill tree system.

  • Story branching – A game with an ambitious branching narrative, where your decisions not only determine the fate of the main characters but that of the entire world.

  • Unique mechanics – Each character features completely different mechanics and ways to fight, which can be further customized through trinkets and the skill tree.

  • Innovative Crafting system – Use treasures and recipes you find inside the dungeons to create and upgrade potions, weapons, and amulets.

  • Pick your poison – Choose a difficulty and a special effect that changes every time at the start of each dungeon and earn black bones used to improve characters at the dark forge.

A betrayal, a dying God

An ancient curse, a divine punishment.

A forsaken world suspended in time and buried in ashes.

In a nameless world, only a few survived the fall of God. Living in a hostile environment and feeding on what their barren land had to offer, four factions are bound to fight each other for survival. Victims of a terrible curse, these populations are condemned to sleepless nights, infertility, and doomed to die at the age of 40.

The only way to break the curse is to offer a Vestal, and a team of valiant warriors, as a sacrifice for a ritual lost in time: a bloody and harsh battle known as the War of Ascension.

Which faction will be able to win and secure the survival of their species? You decide!

pretty decent semi/rpg card battler which definitly focuses on telling a story and world building there's a lot of dialogue, even fully voiced cutscenes lots of lore and worldbuilding which kinda makes the game standout compared to more mechanical focused card battlers the art style is (as you can see in the screenshots) is pretty nice and so is the OST the VO is kinda hit'n miss, but works and the fact that is even there is commendable, also there's quite a lot of it i'm not realy the biggest card-game enthusiast so i cannot comment how the mechanics hold up compared to other games in an already crowded genre. but as far as i can tell there's quite something (already) here. you get a light equipment system, there's skill trees, currency and tools to engage the dungeons with (kinda like a narrow version of Gordian's Quest) and ever expanding options to fiddly around with your deck(s); you can perma lock cards mid battle, you get new card options quite regularly, cards interact with other card-affixes/suffixes all the time, etc. . combat is very well presented and i found engagements quite enjoyable, heck even critical attacks get some nice comic book animation. your character's all have their own little quirks and mechanics, their own special ressource generation, their very own toolkit and special attacks and since certain status effects and cds carry over after a fight the whole dungeon delving feels more connected and complex. the flow between the hub, the emphasis on story and optional side-story content, the turnbased dungeon exploration (a multitude of events included) and the actual combat is quite engaging I'd kinda compare the general pacing to something like Triangle Strategy, although there's more actual gameplay here. i have one major issue however: while most things and information are presented quite good, i cannot for the live of me see how much damage an enemy attack might actualy deal, which is kinda important looking at how you set up armor/def per turn....and usualy not how these games work. either i'm just to plain stupid or this information is missing, which definitly needs to change. all in all looking at the price tag i'd definitly recommend the game

This game first caught my eye last year, since then, I had been quite looking forward to it. After several release date pushbacks, due to the devs wanting to deliver a more polished experience; I have to say the game does really lack polish at this moment in time. The art style is gorgeous, but this isn't matched by the card art, and some of the texts and buttons throughout the game look and feel really low quality. This might not be a big deal for some, but for me it just gives off an air of cheapness and makes the game feel like a bit of a chore to play. If you've played Slay the Spire or similar games, you'll be used to seeing the enemy/party buffs/debuffs above the unit, not here. Instead, you'll have to look to the corners of the screens for ambiguous icons to see what status affects are in play. Again, another minor gripe which makes the game feel cumbersome and unintuitive. I'll be keeping tabs on this game and it's development; but for now, it's a refund from me. I sincerely do hope to be purchasing this game again in the future after it gets a bit of a new coat of paint.

Its stand out rogue-lite (and i played all of them) with RPG elements that are put very well in generics, for early access game it has a lot of potential with huge talent tree a lot of cards and different type of items. Very good voice acting and cutscenes are something that we don't have in many card battlers but this game has it more that its needed for my taste (we just wanna play cards), story seems good so far. All in all solid 7/10 with a lot of potential, keep up the good work devs! here is some gameplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZrmDo2ce0o

A nice rpg deckbuilder. Great art and music, the voice acting varies in quality but none of it is bad and it's pretty cool to have so much of it. I'm not far enough in the game to say if the story is good all the way through but it's good so far, there's some nice worldbuilding. It says it's a roguelike on the store page but it's isn't really. There are 4 big dungeons that you go do missions in (the layout of those missions is procedurally generated), gaining talent points, money and the likes to upgrade the three characters in your party. All three of them have their unique talent tree and mechanics and their own deck. You can also equip them with trinkets and potions. I've seen the devs mention an upcoming roguelike mode in the forums but for now it's just the story mode (supposedly 12-16 hours long). The only complaints I have about the game right now are the UI which isn't great (not horrible either but it could definitely be better), and I don't like that you can't see exactly what kind of attack an enemy will use and how much damage it will do, making it hard to really plan your turns. The game is pretty cheap too so it's definitely a recommend for me if you're into deckbuilders.

Pros: - Runs like a dream. No crashes, stutters, or frame drops. - Devs are actively involved and responsive to feedback. - Well thought out rouge-lite deckbuilder with RPG elements. - Great world-building - there's a lot to dig into here and more will very likely be fleshed out as EA unfolds. - Fantastic art design and music. Some of these creature designs are something you'd expect find out of Barlowe's Inferno! Card design is beautiful. Events are totally unique, very well written, and have incredible artwork. Attack animations are really good. - Excellent tutorial. Overall, great explanation of buffs, debuffs, glossary of terms for everything you could want. Also, right clicking on a card will explain the buffs / debuffs as well as provide a nice morsel of flavour text! Lots of attention to detail here. - Upgrade trees for each of the three main characters (points are refundable at any time to try out another path if you wish). - Very reasonable price for the content! There's so much here so far in EA. Cons: - Dialogue is pretty rough. There is a mix of modern language / slang and old school / formal / mature language which is immersion breaking. It feels like it can't decide on a specific tone. A more mature tone throughout may fit the grim-dark setting, but that's not overall what we're getting here. TL;DR - Awesome rouge-lite deckbuilder with RPG elements. Lots of content for EA. Responsive Devs. Fantastic artwork, music, and price is very reasonable. Totally recommended.

    ~COMPREHENSIVE EARLY ACCESS REVIEW~

Initial review was 11,321 characters too long. So here's a GUTTED version. The most important thing is I had FUN. Good time. Happy about purchase. Spoiler free! Art/Style/Looks: Game is beautiful. A cool old gothic/renaissance kind of atmosphere (reminds me of Blasphemous). I love every time I get a crit. Fantastic. Difficulty: Possibly controversial? I played on the hardest mode and had an easy time. Only one fight did anyone die, and never again was I threatened. I do not expect my experience to be the standard. I did not even use all the mechanics at my disposal. However: On New Game+ it feels more lethal so far Events: I understand the desire to have some RNG but I felt more often than not the choices were irrelevant. Example, you have to pick between A/B which both say bad things will happen, but then something good happens. Or the opposite. There are a few key story choices that I imagine drastically shape and change the story. I'm ASSUMING there's multiple endings and that choices matter. It's set up to happen which I really like. Music: The soundtrack is fantastic but unmemorable. I found myself enjoying all the background noise that the game had but I can't hum or recall any single track when I'm not actively playing. Run: The game ran smooth as butter. Clicks responded right away as I expected. No bugs. One misclick due to sketchy hitbox that was a bit off. Story/Dialog: This game went WAY harder in story than I expected. The story IS good, its just dialog hefty. I felt lost/confused often and then disassociated. Thats my fault though, not the game. Dialog: Some translation issues. A few times there were "This guy are sick" moments. This doesn't help when you're confused with the story. Easily patched over time however! User Interface: A bit negative. Often your 'go back' button is a little arrow in the top left corner. Yeah it works fine it just doesn't feel natural. There's a lot of menu'ing where I want to be able to pull up or see other information (such as characters library in battle when its not that characters turn) I found myself backing out of screens to go to a different screen to pull up info. Very few things have a 'confirm' button, which is annoying when they exist, but necessary to have at key spots like picking difficulty setting or story choice. Would like in-battle notifications or reminders of triggers for your build. *Deckbuilding:* I thought this was a deckbuilder. After beating Everchosen with ease, I will say there's very little deckbuilding aspects to the game. At game start your deck is split into Legendary, Rare, Common, and Basic. Each class is restricted on how many you can have. I really like this concept. It's been used in a few of the old "Duels of the Planeswalkers" MTG games. One issue: The rarity doesn't correlate with a card's power. Some legendary cards are just bad. Many rare cards I don't want too. As you progress you can adjust the numbers for a LITTLE more customization, but not enough. Each character has individual mechanics for their cards/skills. You think "oh this could be a fun build archetype" but you never get to do enough with it. You're basically forced to just play the highest value most impactful card at that moment. That's HIGHLY backwards and a bit of a let down. I just felt like I made very few changes to my initial decks. *Neutral Cards*: In Dungeons you're given card rewards after battles which you add to your deck. It's a deckbuilder right? There's a few problems. 1) You don't get to skip. If the card is bad or you dont want it? Too bad. Bloat your deck. 2) They do not have character-mechanics on them and thus do not synergize. 3) Many neutral cards say they do X, and X stacks the more times card is played by anybody. Neat concept but never worth playing to begin with. 4) Many Neutrals are too weak. They need MASSIVE buffs. But the game was already too easy. Tough. 6) They are temporary. You add cards up until you complete the delve and then it's all gone. Choices don't matter. 7) MOST of the game I felt my starter deck was just better, and better off playing those. There's of course some good neutrals, but there's a lot of junk too. It's sad and a big miss that your deck barely improves over time. Maybe force more basics, find and keep commons/rares during delves with lesser restrictions so you're crafting your deck as you play with choices that matter? *Adaptive Cards*: Different kind of neutral where the card changes based on which character is playing it so they have character mechanics. Certainly better than a typical neutral, but more rare, still temporary, can't skip, etc. Legendary cards often feel weak. They generally cost 2 mana which is usually your entire turn. Andora is able to reduce the cost of hers from her class mechanic (but not neutrals) so hers are easier to play, but you may be better playing 2 common over 1 legend. They need to pack more punch, or have something unique about them to make them worth playing if drawn. Mechanics: Dark Bones: Special currency. You may add a negative modifier against your party on a delve for a bonus Dark Bones reward. This is a super cool idea and you should always add a restriction. In-battle Side Quests: These are SUPER cool. Basically Gloomhaven's battle goals. A mini-task in battle to give you more to strategize about, potentially stalling a round and taking damage to earn the bonus. I WISH there was a counter that kept track for you during the fight. Merchant: She's nearly useless. She sells potion ingredients, tools, and trinkets which is equipment. Stock almost never changes. So she exists, and is more useful early, but I didn't buy a single item after Act 1. Potions/Apothecary: Potions are crafted using stuff you find or buy. The system is simple and effective. You need a Reagent, Solvent, and optional enhancer. Boom, potion. But many potions are weak. Equipped in advance, one time use, and you can't re-equip during a delve. You aren't free to adjust to your needs during a run (At Pyre plz?) or replace a spent potion. This makes you hoard them and never use any. I used a total of 7 potions in my ENTIRE Everchosen run with 5 of those being on the final boss. NG+ I've used them more so far, which is good. Tools: Tools are clickables with various effects. Reveal tiles, avoid traps, or... other. Legit the only tool I used was "avoid trap" because the game prompts you at traps. I was around 70% done with the game before I realized HOW to use tools that are in plain sight on screen. Oops. I'd suggest buying trap-avoid and Event-avoid ones though. I do think it's a little sad that I basically ignored these 3 major mechanics of the game. Needs work. Skill Tree: The skill tree needs work. It's design is ambiguous. It appears like you can branch off in certain ways because it looks connected in the background but thats not true. BIG complaint here - you can only see half the skill tree at the start. So for half the game you're putting points into a tree that you have no idea if you will like your end game skills at all. Players really should be able to know what lies ahead for them. I think some branches are clearly better than others, but you won't know until the game is half over. It's also unclear at first that in each 'row' when given an option to select from 2-3 skills, you get to pick 1 and the others lock out. You end up with far more skills than you can equip, so why bother locking options out? This may sound negative overall but it's not. The game has room to grow and improve. It's still officially in EARLY ACCESS. As I stated at the very start, I HAD FUN and I'm playing it again, which is the most important aspect of a video game. Thank you, make good choices and be a good person.

If you are a rogue-lite/RPG fan, give the game a shot! It's a bit rough around the edges, but the Devs are committed to improving their game and fleshing it out, and I'm excited to see what they do next. Also, the art + music is awesome.

I really like this game. It's different from other deckbuilders, in that Shattered Heaven is a lot more story focused. You still have deckbuilding, meta-progression, dungeon exploration, battles, and random events. But I think if you set your expectations to that of a story driven game - like The Witcher - you really start to appreciate the atmosphere this game tries to build, with its art, music, setting and characters. What I like: - The deck building aspect and finding cards is fun and you feel a sense of progression. - The card battles are fun, too. The card-play is deep but not complex. - There are character skill trees too, which let you personalize your characters and their builds. You can respec the skill trees for free, but not while in a dungeon. - The meta-progression and crafting are pretty cool! You can unlock permanent upgrades over time, and the way you make potions is pretty interesting. You mix 2 ingredients, and the resulting potion inherits its benefits from the ingredients you used. - While exploring dungeons, you can save and quit whenever you want, and then continue from there, later. That's great; The game respects your time. - The banter between the characters and their personalities can be very charming. - The art style and the music. - Andora's abs. :O What I don't mind but you might: - The battle animations can sometimes feel a bit basic, but I think it's the same as Darkest Dungeon. - The story is pretty morose and a bit long. If you're not in the mood for it, then you might skip it. Personally, I felt the overarching story was a little too dark, but the interpersonal stories are very endearing. I have no big complaints about the game, so I highly recommend it.

It's hard to tell if the game is any good due to the endless inane dialogue you have to sit through. For 30 minutes of gameplay, at least 20 minutes is spent watching the characters auto-talk. Over and over. About 90% of the dialogue needs to be cut just to get the pacing somewhere in normal range...
