  I love this game, but it just plain doesn't run on Windows 8 or Windows 7. I really wish they would patch it so it would run on the newer OS' or better yet create some sequels.

  Awesome game from the early 2000s. If you have never played it I can't recommend it enough. The only bad thing I can say is that the 2nd game, Ten Hammers, is garbage and only hammered the nails into the coffin of this series. This game however is great and well worth a playthrough.

  For anyone worried it works fine on my windows 8 so dont see why it wouldnt on others and its a sick game even if you never did play it back in the day! 10/10

  Outstanding game, i love it... may be old but its packs one hell of a punch, these are the games they need to make more of, present games are getting pretty sloppy and repetative.

  An old game that still stands the test of time.I had a disk of this game but after a while I could not play it anymore.The game can be hard but what fun.The scenario is almost like being ripped from the news.The graphics are dated but that does not stop this from being good.

  Sadly i am unable to play this fantastic game. The game just refuses to start up after multiple downloads. I think it has something to do with Windows 10. This, and this reason alone, is why i am leaving a negative reveiw. The game was fantastic and is one of my favorite childhood memories :( wish i could play it on the PC

  I know this is late in the product's "life cycle", but maybe someone is just discovering this title. I am a casual gamer, but I like some hardcore titles, and have a serious rig for the newer stuff. I have played many of the top FPS games, but this was one of my first genuine squad-based games. I found this "new" approach to a combat game very intriguing and fun. While I usually prefer to be looking down the sights, I greatly enjoyed this style of play. You command one of two squads of four soldiers, and can switch back and forth between them at will, choosing which position you want to lead from while directing the other squad. It's all about learning and implementing proper flanking and cover tactics, using one squad to cover the other, or to create a diversion to draw the attention of the enemy while your squad moves to a better position. When done well, it's a very rewarding feeling as one squad takes out the surprised threat from the side or rear. I do agree with a couple of the complaints I've read in these reviews: there should definitely be more grenades available for use, especially for the M203 (what soldier would only carry two rounds of ammo for this vital weapon?), and they should get resupplied when the squads restock their rifle ammo. Also, you should be able to progress with a casualty or two, and get reinforcements at the beginning of the next mission--having to stop everything and carry a guy all the way back to wherever the last resupply truck is gets old. Having some way to render first aid on-site would've been nice. Having a little more range on hand-thrown grenades would also be nice--the game forces you too close on tosses due to the very limited range. These are all goals that would aid in the realism, as real troops would not have these limitations. Those nits aside, this is a very fun game. It looks quite good for the time of release, and there is a nice variety of terrain/obstacles to route your squads through. Those looking for a good military game with a different feel from standard shooters would do well to try this one. Sure, it's a little old, and I'm sure there are newer ones that do many things better, but you could do a heck of a lot worse (especially for the tiny price you'd pay for a copy these days). I haven't played a lot of squad games, so I don't know what they may do differently, but I found this to be a very entertaining game for my tastes. Give it a shot (no pun intended!).

  While it does show its age in some aspects, Full Spectrum Warrior remains a very good game, and it is easy to see why it was so highly rated upon release. Stepping away from genre restraints, Full Spectrum Warrior is a game focusing on strategy and tactics - especially making use of what you have at your disposal. While you have direct control over your squads, there is no actual shooting done by the player in this game, leaving you free to concentrate on positioning your teams and eliminating the opposing forces. On the higher difficulty levels, mistakes are punished fairly ruthlessly; while the game is ultimately not a simulator experience, it can be challenging at times.   Worth playing, if you are a fan of RTS games. I don't know why people are saying it doesn't work on Windows 10, been working perfectly fine for me.
