[h1]Gameplay[/h1] Shady Lewd Kart can best be summed up with "Mario Kart". For those of you who live under a rock bigger than mine, kart games are essentially light-hearted racing games featuring go-carts. They often feature "power-ups" to boost the player or attack others. In this title, between racing, there are also visual novel-eske portions, where you can learn more about the pitgirls and other [b]Shady Lewd Cart[/b] characters. Throughout stages, there are collectibles called "dating items". These can be used to increase the affection of "pitgirls". But gifts are [i]worthless[/i] if you don't earn "first place", because [i]if you're not first, [b]you're last.[/b][/i] To help you stay in first, there are also "weapons". And by "weapons", I mean [i]weaponized panties[/i] and a variety of [i]sexual tools[/i] Which also includes [i]tentacles[/i]. 'nuff said. Before the game starts, you are given a chance to set the difficulty (from [i]Just the tip[/i] to [i]Oh GOD! BREAK ME SENPAI![/i]) Your choice of difficulty will [i]not[/i] alter progression or unlockable content. If you're not fond of the default (control) settings, you can adjust keybindings from "Options". Difficulty can be changed at any time. There are a variety of game modes to partake in. "Story Cup" is self-explanatory. In "Free Race", you can enjoy any stage you want (and still earn rewards). "Time Trial" is a more competitive "Free Race" where you battle 'gainst the time. From the "Shop" you can purchase characters, cosmetics, karts, and a variety of lewd content. There's even a "Tutorial" for newcomers and return players alike! Now let's talk about the selectable racers. Oh. . . my. . . [i]awesome.[/i] There are a total of [i]sixty[/i] playable characters, though to start only eight are playable. There are characters from the "Shady Corner" (from [b]Shady Lewd Kart[/b] universe), along with guest appearances from a wide variety of other titles (such as [b]Monster Girl Island[/b] and [b]Venture Seas[/b]). What a delightful surprise! If you're new to kart racing games, you're in for a rough start. [i]I suck[/i], and I [i]sucked hard[/i] at the easiest difficulty. But no matter how bad you [i]suck[/i], you will always walk away with some pocket change (so you're always a winner!) Not only that, but you also fill up a "Climax Meter", which nets coins and [i]surprises.[/i] [h1]Story[/h1] [i]Here's the rub.[/i] Twenty six (of the sixty) characters have a beginning and end cutscene regarding their [i]Shady Lewd Kart[/i] participation. [i]No[/i], I'm not gonna talk about each and every one of them. So we'll settle for [i]Shades[/i], the man for the (in-universe) Shady Lewd Kart events. His gimmick are [i]shades[/i], and he looks like an [i]arrogent, seasoned pervert.[/i] He's also a famous "adult" reviewer (who runs the "Shady Corner"). He devises a sort of "master plan" for an event of [i]sheer hedonism[/i], intending to gather [i]sexy[/i] ladies from lewd videogames. This "event" is called [i]Shady Lewd Kart[/i], and he's gathered a [i]whole lot[/i] of ladies for you (and he) to enjoy. [h1]Visuals[/h1] From the [i]get-go[/i], I was impressed by the titlescreen. It's loaded with pretty (silly) visuals and with a cutesy moving background. Each menu looks [i]mostly[/i] polished, and it is easy to navigate everything (from modes, missions to characters!) I'm not sure what I'd call the in-game visuals, but I'd describe them as low poly and pixelated. . . [i]in a good way[/i]. I think it's called "retro". All of the [i]saucy content[/i] is accessible from the "Collection". You can review pitgirls' "affectionate" scenes and cutscenes for the drivers. There's a "Gallery", where you can view purchased artwork. There is also a "Museum", where you can check-out the names of who made this game happen. Finally, you can view the progress of the Climax Meter. [b]- The Goods -[/b] The artwork is [i]highly[/i] stylized. I personally enjoyed the art style, but it's not one I associate with [i]sauciness[/i]. The unlockable lewd content is static but very well drawn. There's a great deal of [i]juicy goodness[/i] and female-on-female [i]intercourse.[/i] Unfortunately, the images cannot be fullscreened, and are not in the correct aspect ratio to fill the screen (even if they could be [i]full screened.[/i]) All in all, the [i]goods[/i] are high-quality, but leave a bit to be desired. [h1]Verdict[/h1] This is an "adult" game with enough [i]real[/i] gameplay and story to play [i]without[/i] heed to the "adult" content. In truth, the sexy stuff is [i]icing on the cake.[/i] With more content and multiplayer support on the horizon, I'd definitely consider picking up this title and supporting development!   TL;DR: The lewdest Mario Kart racer with a cast that is the lewd equivalent of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Shady Lewd Kart is the perfect aggravating, addicting, challenging, infuriating, and fun as hell game for challenging yourself while unlocking a treasure trove of lewd goodness along the way! + Challenging gameplay, very addicting. Not unfair, just challenging + Dozens of characters across so many different NSFW franchises! + Fun map design, good map length variation + SO MANY LEWDS! Voice acted short loops, probably hundreds of pictures, and more content to c*m! + Lewd content is also varied in content, with some yaoi, some yuri, some tentacle, and so much more! Even selfcest! + Competitive game modes to compete with other players + Different game modes and lots to keep you busy with! + Fun music and fun additional non-lewd characters as well! + Developers seem responsive to feedback and are still adding content - Twisted Terry can slob my knob - Controller support is iffy at the moment, didn't work at all for me ------------------------------ I know it's Kart Racing, but it might as well be said that this game is like the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate of lewd games, combining various mascots and characters from other lewd franchises into one comprehensive, challenging, and incredibly addicting kart racing game in a similar manner to the old school Mario Kart games (feels more like Mario Kart 64). The first thing that's absolutely worth mentioning is the difficulty. It is intimidating as sh*t. Even on the easiest difficulty, you'll find yourself getting absolutely railed by enemies if you aren't doing well enough and with the delay if you fall of the map or get hit, getting hit in first place will almost certainly place you in last place if you are not careful, there really isn't a way to bounce back so easily or recover. That being said, that difficulty is what gives this game its flavor. It's unpredictable and carries a "high risk, high reward" mentality when it comes to trying to utilize the trickier jumps and shortcuts in the game in order to get ahead of your opponents. This is definitely a difficult game no matter what difficulty you are playing on, but that does not mean that it is not fun-- merely intimidating. And addicting because some racers cheat, I swear to god. Looking at you, Twisted Terry. In terms of gameplay, few things gave me a big headache. The first was that there certainly is such a thing as "going too fast" in this game, as in Detour's Carpark, going too fast and doing a trick jump at the top of a ramp can have you smack your head against the ceiling and take multiple hits, the most damning of which is right near the finish line, which means that performing too well can put you in last place on this course if you aren't aware of how easy it is to hit the ceiling. There are other areas where going too fast basically has you lose control of your kart, but in some cases this can be used to your advantage as slamming against a wall at a certain angle ends up transferring momentum in a rebound direction, making you able to keep your inhuman speed longer. There's plenty of upgrades in the game, some of which feel way more useful than others. From items that place hazards around the racetrack to items that give you boosts in speed or protection or even attack items to hurt other racers, you've got a plethora of items to discover and maneuver quickly around the racetrack. The only item I feel like doesn't really have a place in the game or works a little strangely is the Bind item. I understand if it prevents you from using items, but it also prevents you from drifting, the primary mechanic in which you'll gain speed, and the thing that is necessary to do in order to place highly in a track. Removing the ability to do that for a few seconds can be insanely detrimental, especially when NPCs occasionally will chain it so you're unable to drift for several seconds. I feel as if halting your ability to use your items is enough of a handicap for it. There are a TON of characters in this from franchises that I recognize and franchises that I don't but will look forward to seeking more information about! Properties like Third Crisis, Venture Seas, Lucy Got Problems, Treasure Hunter Claire, Cloud Meadow, and so many others are fantastic additions, and then you even get some of the champions of online adult hentai content like Zone-tan and ProjektMelody in the mix and you've really got a fantastic recipe for awesome fun! Each character has their own stats, which means that some characters will inherently do better in some stages than others, while all of them are still absolutely usable and a lot of fun to mess around with (heh heh)! Each character also has their own story mode, fully voice acted by the character and unlocking even more content for you! Most characters have additional skins to use, and there's a metric f*ckton of uncensored lewd content in this game that is just the icing on the cake for this fantastic lewd game! Some yaoi, some yuri, some tentacles, some selfcest, some solo... there's so much different content here and it's all incredibly enjoyable from so many different artists working collaboratively! It's worth noting that while controller support is being worked on, it currently isn't at its best. I couldn't use my dualshock at all even with some threads talking about ways to potentially fix it, so I used my mouse and keyboard the whole time. My pinky hurts. Based on what I've seen around the Steam as well as the Discord, the developers seem responsive enough to criticism and also seem to be open to ideas about who to add next, which means that this ever-evolving product will only ever get better as it goes on to maintain its spot as one of the best NSFW games that can be offered on Steam! Seriously, I can't recommend this title enough. It's not flawless and it's got its kinks (boy does it) to work out, but it's addicting and I'll find myself returning to continue playing it for a long time c*mming. Looking forward to participating in the other events in the game, scouring the rest for secrets, and doing everything I can to unlock as much as possible and then enjoy it all again! 10/10 game, would c*m again.

  I'm selective about which "adult" games I play, and when I saw Shady Lewd Kart, I was intrigued. A kart racer with a naughty twist? I had to check it for myself, and I gotta tell ya, I'm very pleased with the game. (As a side note, this'll be my 69th review on Steam, just seemed appropriate. XD) The kart racing itself is very well done, it feels just like other kart racers with its controls and the weapons are cleverly done within the theme. The selection of racers is a who's who of lewd games, and the method of unlocking new stuff fits the theme too. This game knows you want naughty stuff and gives it to you. The lewd artwork that you can unlock and/or buy from the shop are well done also. They're varied, as some come from different artists, and are also cute and/or sexy. They're a great reward for racing well, and just extra toppings on an already excellent game. The sense of humor caught me by surprise, in a good way. This game doesn't take itself too seriously, and that just makes everything work. I feel a great sense of humor makes or breaks games that rely on it, and fortunately, this one makes it. All in all, I would heartily recommend SLK, unless you don't like naughty stuff. :)

  This might be the most frustrating racer I've ever played. First, the good: Absolutely love the concept and the overall gameplay. Nice little karting game with familiar mechanics. Lots to unlock! The bad: The stuff you unlock can be pretty disappointing at first, but I'm assuming a lot more gets added as this is early access. But the worst part is the difficulty. I don't mean this game is "tough to win", I mean it's straight up unfair at times. There's virtually no invincibility after getting hit with an item or stage interaction. You can be in first place and drop to last in a matter of seconds. Most other kart games will give you some kind of warning that something is coming at you from behind, but not here. And sometimes when you collide with something solid in the stage you'll find yourself bouncing backwards and forwards for a long time before you can steer out of it. The story cups are pretty beatable, but the "challenge" modes are just insanely frustrating right now. I'm not sure if that's the experience the developer wants me to have right now but I thought I'd provide my honest feedback. So as of right now, I can't really recommend the game. As for me, I'm eagerly looking forward to re-rating the game as a recommendation later. At the moment, it's just not fun for me.

  A decent karting concept with lewd content but very unfair to the player & I say unfair in the aspect of the stages being poorly lay out & even on lowest difficulty the NPC racers will target the player without second thought also any obstacle will slow your speed drastically without remorse also the NPC's drive like they raced these tracks for years even on campaign cups(The "bosses" are especially unforgiving even on the first cup) the "easy" difficulty did nothing to the NPC behavior did I mention the grind being slow but it could be alright if the difficulty settings actually made the NPC's more rookie like drivers but alas I did not notice any chance in their behavior There a far better karting games than this & lewd games as well this one has potential but the unfair difficulty aka NPC's homing on you & stages being punishing to your speed/acceleration even on a slightest hit is just unforgiving to the player I could have let that slide if this happened on "challenge" modes but it happens on any game mode so yeah don't buy especially with a full price tag

  NOTE-this is not one of those stupid. this is bad because of porn related reason reviews. i'm criticizing it as a game like it should be! This game angers me...A LOT...even though you have 3 difficulty settings to choose from...i'm not sure it even matters...the AI is beatable....but there is too much bullshit stopping it from being consistent. many times i was confident i had the win. 10 or less seconds...final lap. i'd cross the finish line. all a sudden, EVERY OTHER CAR SPEED BOOSTS PAST ME! the green panties (imagine a green shell from mario kart) are too common! i'm in a 1v1 race. i have no idea how far ahead they are and the RNG just keeps giving me this useless pile of shit! speaking of items...a lot of times i hit enemies with them...they recover instantly...you'd think you will definitely be able to pass someone close to you who you hit with a weapon...but no...they barely slowdown and are still moving....naturally you get screwed every single time it happens to you... when i say screwed. you'd be amazed how many times you will be in first and seconds later you're in last place... but that isn;t even the worst things about this...the grind to raise experience/love/what ever you want to call them bars... the limited time events...denying players the ability to get content... in boss races (1v1) they get to start 1+ seconds BEFORE you do! (its bad enough racing itself isn't fair but they get a head start was well...) and the bosses? with it being as easy to lose as it is...i REALLY hate not being able to immediately challenge the boss again. and have to go through several irrelevant races first... but even all that crap doesn't compare to the thing that bothers me the most...the thing no body i can find is talking about... my car randomly stops moving,slows down until it stops. and i have to release the accelerator and press again... maybe i'm not understanding some game mechanic and this is avoidable...but i personally do not know why it happens...and have lost races to this... there is no visuals effect that someone used an item to cause it...random as far as i can tell. and if this was an item...it seriously needs to be removed... OVERALL this needs to be easier,the ais need to stop getting unfair speed boosts on the easiest difficulty,the car needs to move when it is suppose to be moving... grind needs to be reduced, and everything should be available to the player. events are dumb!
