  So back in the day I played it and I can tell it's a very good game but now I found out you can't even start the game properly. It crashes half way and the devs know it but they don't fix it since a year or so, that's crazy.

  It's fun for a few hours but it should have been a game mode. The gamemode isn't worth the price.

  My favorite BR game yet. If you aren't sure about the game you can play regular Battlerite (same characters but instead arena 2v2/3v3) for free to get a feel for what the BR characters/abilities feel like. That being said it goes free to play in a couple months when the game leaves early access. So if you aren't ready to drop any money right now come back in a couple months.

  The server is still on. But it literally dead game because no one playing it. You can try the game in vs bot by reach 5 mins cap in matching queue. Even the news is use to promoting another game. They should make it F2P in the first place. It were a good game, but unfortunately in the hand of bad publisher.

  Rarely review games, but I feel this game justifies one. When I first started playing this game, it was refreshing experience. It felt like Heroes of the Storm in a BR mode. There are many customization options that are on par with Overwatch. Such as choosing a costume with variants of colors and rarities. There are different mounts as well that range from horses, to pugs, and to mythical creatures. Gameplay wise its fun at FIRST. Everything is new, you believe you get outskilled by other players, and there are many champions to explore. The game has so much potential, but I feel the first experience of your game reflects differently the further hours you invest into the game. Now the problems: ||MMR System|| The MMR System is poorly implemented and way too punishing, especially for a Battle Royale. In some ranks I have experienced, you decline a WHOLE division in rank if you die early in the match or if you have less than a 3.0 KDR or do not place Top 3. Even if you do get 4 kills but end up dying "too early" you'll decline in rank. Why even implement only ranked BR when a lot of the fun of BR is playing casually and luckily slaying a top player? ||Gameplay|| Currently the game expects you to have at least a 4.0 KDR in a 30 man map while surviving to progress in rank (Platnium 5 - Diamond 1). This pushes a meta where people strictly go for kill steals which is FAR too easy. There are champs that have a kit that lets you run through walls at tremendous speed while snaring the enemies. This also makes it less an incentive to go for early on kills, as there's no reward for the risk (Since you can hide til top 5 and climb). The map is also so small & marks where the last players have died, therefore this even moreso invites people to just finish off weakened players from their recent fights. It almost takes almost 10 seconds to reach one Point of Interest to another. There are also far too many terrain obstructions that cater to ranged characters only. If a fight gets too messy, a ranged character can easily disengage where a melee champ needs to do way too much to punish them (use rare consumables). ||Champion Designs|| There are definitely imbalanced champs. Ranged champions have all the utility to disengage and play safely. Melee characters basically need to play the opposing ranged champ's mini game to overcome them. Ranged characters have too much abilities to bully melee champs who are already at a disadvantage due to their lack of mobility and range. ||Verdict|| Ultimately, this game is early access and will go free-to-play. Save yourself stress and money by avoiding this game for now until they do more balancing. If you play now, expect to play the meta champs or fun champs (but don't expect to win). Expect people to smurf and observer snipe you with friends in solo. There's already a strong and elite community established for this game that will defend the meta of the game no matter what. However, the lack of interest of the BR community even bothering with this game is a tall tell sign that there's a huge issue with this game right now.

  Feels like it should be a game mode for Battlerite that's just elimination on a big map. Items are dumb, add unneeded RNG, and are a bore to collect. You feel gimped all game until you finally find all your abilities, at which point the game is soon to end anyway. Whole game feels like a chore that rewards cowardice.

  It's not a bad idea, but its implementation is... Just so bad. I'll be assuming you've already played Battlerite and will write this review out with that assumption. I'll give you the good news first. Its a nice diversion to Battlerite. BRBR is obviously more casual and that's not a bad thing. It's nice to just jump into a match and have some chaotic fun. The map is nice and looks fairly polished. Bright colors and the foliage and fauna are nice. The combat is fun, but of course its the same as BR so thats honestly not saying much. However the way that abilites work and how some of the work in THIS game mode is whole different story. More on that later because unfortunately that's about all the good things I can muster to say about BRBR. Now for the bad news. The game is woefully unbalanced. I'm not sure what SLS spent nearly half a year on in making this mode but I can tell you it clearly wasn't about having a balanced experience. It literally feels like they just slapped the combat over into BRBR and that was it. First off, any ranged character instantly has an advantage over melee. It's already common even in BR to be able to kite melee for days but in a Royale game mode with big open maps this compounds the issue. Which is even FURTHER compounded by the fact that you don't start out with all of your abilities. Recently a patch was added that allows the purchase of two abilities on match start. This helps a little but some characters rely on the entirety of their kit to be useful. So essentially if you play as a melee you're only gimping yourself. Would you believe me if I told you that this problem gets EVEN WORSE since some ranged characters are also healers? I can't believe, in a ROYALE game mode, that there are characters that can heal themselves consistently and for free. Basically the current meta for Royale is "just play a ranged healer". All other characters either need to heal with potions, that make loud noises and take a long time to consume or find a designate area that heals you that also makes loud noises and heals slowly. But wait there's more! Any character that has an escape ability also has a leg up on the competition since they can jump over walls of which there are a LOT of in BRBR. Thankfully the roster has plenty of characters that can do this but it's still a major issue for those characters that can't. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten someone to below 10% health and they just jump over a wall, mount up and are gone. All because I was playing a character that couldn't pursue. Balance issues don't end there either. In BRBR you can collect rarities of abilites and also items. The rarer the better. So the best strategy here is to just hope that luck is on your side and you get a heavy stack of rare stuff which makes you an unstoppable killing machine to anyone who isn't stacked. I understand that in Royale games there's a bit of randomness that makes it exciting and you may not always have what you need in order to win a fight BUT if you're skilled enough you can still come out on top most of them. This isn't the case in BRBR. If someone outstacks you you're more than likely going to lose the fight. Couple this with the major character imbalances, such as going against a stacked ranged healer, it makes the BRBR experience a real drag. WIth all that being said, I can't recommend buying the game at the full price of $20. Not even with the discount knocking it down to $18. If you've got the 50% off coupon though... I'd still have a hard time recommending it at even $9. I hope things get better, I really do, but seeing as how they dropped Battlerite like a hot potato just to chase the Royale trend and put it out in THIS state... It kind of leaves a bad taste in ones mouth. SLS has stated that they plan to support both games, but BR itself was hardly being supported when it was the ONLY game. So my hopes aren't exactly high at this point. Not recommended until we see some major improvements...
